Red, I'm sure you remember what we had started. And it was a nice break, but here we go again!! And here's the new map I made. Now, the rules are you start at a level 1, which has 2 attack and 10hp. Every level up increases attack 1 and hp by two or three. You can pick a job to aid you, such as I had picked wizard and LD as I remember picked dragoon, didn't you? My job, as it states, is spellcasting. When I level up, I power up my regular stats and my spellcasting level by 1 (starts at 0.). His job is that he levels slower than normal but gains more stats. There is also a thief job and red is a...red mage. Now, in town there is a tree which sprouts 1,000 gil a DAY, not a post, a DAY. Gil is your money. Unfortunately, since you could randomly buy something at a store, we have eliminated selling and buying to...unreal people. People can build shops to trade (items appear as you finish building it) or huts to live in. Personally, I chose to furnish up a cave. So, the rules so far: There is no random finding of things, explain how you got it. And super rare items or stuff that is useful you have to explain how you got it. NO UNNATURAL PHENOMENONS to start with. No magical staff falling from the sky, no random finding of treasure from the floor, unless you can somehow explain it or make a story of it. Gil: Money. Use your imagination. Shelter: I suggest this is the first thing you make. Construction: Every structure needs to be made before using. For every post (doesn't have to be a day, excluding double posting,) you may proceed construction by 1 point out of a certain amount. A hut would need 4 points and a shop needs 10. Doors to caves need 4 points and reinforcing needs 10 points. Remember, you need a way to get the resources. Speed construction: There are toolkits which allow you to get more building points than by hand. A toolkit 1 would give 2 points instead of 1, a toolkit 2 gives 3 instead of 1, and so on. But there is no toolkit above 3. They are also valuable. COMBAT!!: This is a big part. When you face an enemy, you must state its power (hp & atk) and your current stats. (hp, atk, and possibly archery or magic). If you clearly overpower your enemy (say, 20hp 7atk to 5hp 1 atk, unlikely.) you are clearly stronger and you don't take long. Would you really put your fists up when fighting an ant? If you were the size of one, yes, but you're not. Leveling: After clearing an enemy, you might level up. This means that you gain some hp and atk plus a level up in your job of choice. As you get stronger, it is harder to level up on enemies. And no, if your just starting and you meet a big bug and the battle is two seconds, there is no way you level. If you defeat creatures your strength, you might be able to level up. And killing a swarm with bug spray does NOT give experience. Jobs: Various jobs give advantages. For now, we have wizard, red mage, thief, and dragoon. Now I think I covered everything... no wait...the wild. The wilderness is the place if you want to train on enemies your size. These guys do not run and occasionaly, chase you. Then there's the dark lands, a new area I've included. Enemies of great proportion are there and boy is it the place for quests! Quests: We will be adding these in soon. Let's just hope you aren't sent dragon slaying there. Now, no matter who your character is, you start STRIPPED of all equipment and power. IDEAS!!: Occasionally, you want something new. PM me or red and ask for approval. We will accept new job ideas, items, and such but please, don't exaggerate. Any questions?

im adding three jobs - archer, sniper and summener.
an archer is a main job that you can choose to start out as. a sniper you must have 20 levels of an archer. any magic type job ability when it hs 25 levels can become a summoner.
i am not opening the summoner to its full potencial yet. the summoner summons monsters with individual stats.
archers and snipers use arrows. you can buy arrows by the bundle, and you may also find them on the ground after defeating easy prey such as rabbits, and birds. tougher monsters like goblins the arrows may break. (you cannot pick them up after battle.)
an archer can use bows, and short bows. they cannot use long bows. the type of bow increases or decreses attack, speed, or accuracy. short bows tend to be speedy and less acurate while bows take longer to shoot with and have a greater attack bonus.
snipers, however, can only use bows and long bows. long bows are very accurate and have a greater attack bonus then normal bows. they also have the same speed as normal bows. snipers can obtain scrools which contain a magic ability. a sniper can hold up his arrow, and have it "blessed by the gods" if he has one of these scrolls. the current scroll abilitys are darkness, light, flame, and aqua. a darkness arrow induces dark elemental damage to an enemy. it can blind, or fog the mind of what is right. a light arrow does less damage, and cures stats alignments. a flame arrow does fire elemental damage and may burn from time to time. an aqua arrow does watter elemental damage and my freeze the target. (more scrolls soon) snipers can also use guns. guns specialise in mainly just pure attack and speed. the add a huge attack bonus. snipers are usually in for it for accuacy, so it is rare seeing a sniper using a gun.
even a normal job can use a bow just as a ranged attack weapon, (non short or long) but not for a main. snipers and archers usually sit back, but when there time does come to shine in a battle while soloing, or bad party influences, they can use knives as close up weapons.
name: red.yoshi job: archer normal start stats, administer.
ok teo, whos going to be a shop distributer?
red.yoshi logs in, collects 1k gil, and starts hut. hut 1/4 complete. red.yoshi logs out.
1000gil 1/4 hut complete

OOC: I just modified map so we can see it. I guess we're starting fresh. There is no shops yet, I'm making a builders shop so we will be able to build easier later, but NO QUEST SHOPS UNTIL THERE IS A QUEST! Got that? And items appear as a shop is made. And L.D., the levels might be complicated. I want to limit to basics. Just let the strong areas be places where you venture at your own risk. And of course, the risk is great. No barriers or levels. For now, there is no factory or sky city. They'll be added when we get more experienced. Still OOC: And one more thing, where are you getting the wood to build your huts and shops? Please include and also HOW you are doing it. Note that I will update that map EVERYDAY whenever there is a new structure. Yes LD, you may use dragon coins, though their value is still 1 gil. I spawn in!! A bag, map, and wallet with 1,000 gil is created. I go around to explore the island...but I meet a bear cub along the way. I decide its mother isn't far off and I'd better just get a move on. I keep searching and find a cave with a small entrance. I wonder how it is on the inside? Anyways, I mark where it is on the map. (I was going to say I went to town to buy an axe and pick, but I remembered the players-only shops.) I forget about my safety, the cave will hold out against attackers. Using what is on the ground and dead, I start to build an unsturdy shop. I make a base for it with a heap of lots of twigs, I hope it'll last. The twigs are intertwining and I fill the three inch high base with rocks. Shop is 1\10 finished. If only I had some help! I need someone to help build faster! I set off into the woods (look at that patch of trees in the green area) and start trying to find combat. I pick my job to be in the ways of the wizard! But nothing happens yet. Magic level 1 contains no spells. But now I can train it. In the woods, I find some catepillers...which gives me a thought. I gather five caterpillars and stuff them in my empty wallet. I lay it out in the open. Soon, a mockingbird comes and peeks in the wallet full of catepillars. As he peeks in, I quickly hop onto him and snatch him with my long tongue. I keep him like this but still feed him/her the catepillars. I close the birds feet in the wallet so he doesn't fly away and I put him in the open area... Suddenly, a fox comes! He approaches then leaps for the bird. I throw a rock at him and he turns. BATTLE BEGIN!! Fox: An animal that wanders in the woods. Hp 6, atk 1. Very fast though. Me!: You know it... Hp 10, atk 1, magic 1. Mad about the rock, he runs to bite me! I try to kick him, but he leaps over my kick and scratches my under body dealing a 1! While he scratches, I grab him with my hands and throw him up. On his way down, I snatch with my tongue and slam him against the ground. He manages to be slammed by his feet and is delt a 1. He scratches my tongue and makes me let go! I come to him and he dashed to me. I jump and he stays startled back and gets stood on. Dealing a rather harmful 2. He squirms out of there and sits on my back, and tries to bite me. He suceeds and deals me 2. I do a flip and he lands sandwiched between a saddle and the ground, but only his paw is caught dealing 1 and slowing him. Seeing him injured, I kick his underbelly dealing 1. With a paw out of comission, he hops and my legs and bites me, partially injuring my leg and dealing 1. I kneel on him and do the finishing blow. Teo at 4hp. No level ups. The fox evaporates and leaves behind: Meat, skin, and bones. I find my way to the cave and go inside and build a fire using sticks rubbing toghether. The sparks occasionally land on me dealing a 1, but the fire does get started! I hang the meat on a stick and put it in the flames. The stick starts to burn and I take is out and transfer the meat to another stick which I hold higher over the flames. My arms start to get tired...but the meat just starts looking brown. Then golden. I take it out and eat it off the stick. I heal by 5 and get my meal in! Teo at 9 health. I decide to use the bones to help stabilize the shop base. "Anyone care to help me on this shop??" I scream out. OOC: Map has just been edited. Red, LD, and my constructions have been placed (Red, I had to make your sprite from a blue one ). Edits like this will keep being made as progress continues. Eventually, you will SEE your huts on the map. Right now, I just did a few planks...

ooc: from now on, lets not fight any monsters without weapons.
red.yoshi logs in, collects 1k and works on his hut. hut: 2/4 complete red.yoshi logs out.
2000gil 2/4 of hut
note: we really need a better way to get items out fluently. how about a cpu dealer for now, and for later we will have human shops for supplys. this will just be for until we can get the game more orginized - the shop wont carry anything except like basic items such as potions, and basic weapons like a normal bow, or a sword, or a magic staff or wand. we should also have an inn were you could pay a fee to stay in.

OOC: I have to say, just make a shop! It will take a while, but as soon as I complete my shop, I will make money off your gils! MWAHAHAHAHA!! And the town? Well, what's the purpose of a town without an inn?? And LD, stop naming things, and there are no fences. You wander at your own expense. BTW, huts are out of four, not three.
I exit my cave and proceed to work on my shop. I gather more twigs and make them intertwine along the edges, the bones helping to hold it all toghether. Once I get another three inches on the shops base, I fill it with rocks. Shop is now 2/10.
I sit depressed at my empty gil bag and open it to find the mockingbird. He tries to fly away but I catch him and fit him in my bag. I wander around and I try to find something I could do battle, I feel close to a level! I see another fox, but I remember what happened last time. I got pretty hurt. But hey, I need the bones!!
BATTLE BEGIN!!
Fox: Hp 6, Attack1. Quite quick.
Teo: Iiiiiit's me! Hp 9/10, atk 1, magic 1.
From past experience, he his charge won't be effectif. He charges and dashes for my underbelly when I drill a punch in the nose, dealing 1 and leaving him a bit...dizzy. I take advantage and strike again with my foot at his underbelly, dealing 2. He recovers from the nose shot and hastens. He runs to me and I try to kick, but he avoids it and claws my weak underbelly dealing two. I try to grab, but he's too fast. I strike full force with my foot and he dodges, but I was ready. I did not kick high, but straight, and when my foot landed I pivoted and struck a 2 in his chin. He whinnes and tries to bite my leg again, and I pull myself back and stomp on him dealing the fatal 1.
LEVEL UP!! Hp 9/13, atk 2, magic 2. Teo's magic allows him to execute a magical slash!
Magic slash: A magical slashing attack that deals a powerful blow and might lead to some nasty side effects.
Again, the fox drops his fur, meat, and bones then vanishes. I gather his remains and head back to my cave. I cook his meat and eat it. It tastes less cooked this time...
I look for another battle, now at full force with the new slash. But I find none. I head back to my cave and sleep on the cold hard ground.
Teo's stats.
1,000 gil. 2 fox furs. 1 set of fox bones. Shop 2/10 completed. Job: Wizard.
OOC: I'll edit the map now...

OOC: No, we all start with no equipment. But instead of naming barriers, can't we just say they're there?
I wake up, the fox skins keep me from taking damage from the rock floor.
I exit the cave an restart construction of the shop. I add the bones to stabilize the base and add a foot height and fill the middle with rocks. It is now at 4/10. I leave my cave and head to the woods, hoping for another fox. I strive to find one, but I can't seem to find one. I put the mockingbird as bait, but to no avail. I release the mockingbird. Suddenly an eagle swoops down and nabs it. I grab the eagles neck.
BATTLE BEGIN!!
EAGLE: A predator of the skies. Hp 8, Attack 2.
Teo: Hello and welcome to the show!! Hp 13, atk 2, magic 2. From the grabbing, it is partially suffocated which deals no damage, but tires it out. It bites my hand and frees itself, but it cannot take flight as it is still choking and I take no damage. As it is on the ground, my hands turn purple. "MAGIC SLASH!!" I yell and leap onto the bird, dealing 2 and executing a slash along its wing line hurting its flight and dealing 2. The magic slash seems to have a side effect! The slash line is a bit paralyzed. The eagle gets up and pierces my underbelly with its nose dealing a hurtful 3. It pecks again for a 1, it re-pecks and deals 2, and it strikes another time for a 1. Total of 7. The eagle, still on me pecking madly, is brutally interupted by the magic slash which deals it a 3. The bird attempts to fly way! But as it was out of my reach, I lashed out my tongue and ate it. I spat out near thirty eagle feathers, eagle bones, eagle meat, and eagle legs.
BATTLE OVER. No level ups.
I packed the 30 feathers (or so), the bones, meat, and legs. I went home then. I decided I needed more comfort...so I wrapped one fox fur around the feathers and made a fox fur pillow. I cooked the meat over the flames and ate it, healing me from 6 to 11/13. The legs...I'd have to see. The bones, good for construction. Until then, G'dnight. ZzZzZzZz...
Teo's stats: Level 2. Magic 2. Hp 11/13. Atk 2. I'm a wizard!
Owns: A fox fur pillow Fox fur. Eagle bones. Eagle feet. Shop 4/10.

OOC: Sorry for mis-understanding. I did not get much of a rest, but decided to work on my shop again. I got out of 'bed' and added the nice firm bones to the frame. I re-used the entertwinning twig strategy and managed to add another foot of height. I filled in the foot of height. 5/10ths complete. I went into the woods again. Battle awaits! I ventured into the wood. Meeting no enemy to battle. I kept wandering as the woods started to grow darker. Then I thought I was lost. "No I'm not." If I kept going straight, I'd surely be out. I kept wandernig straight, but I got suspicious after passing the same rock five times...six. I headed backwards and not even five minutes of walking and I was out. I left the woods...puzzled. Something bit my hands and I slapped it off. I got caught by another...and then another! I turned around and saw these miniature scarabs. But they jumped higher than me! BATTLE BEGIN!! ???Unknown group of foes???: Atk: Hp: ?Other stats? Officialy, it is not wise to meet a foe which you don't know. Unofficialy, MEET MY FEET!! I lept on them ,squishing and squishing! (*spawn in*)I hurrily run to the inn, collect 1k gil, and pay 100 for healing, buy a bow and quiver for 550, and 2 bundles of oak arrows for 400 gil. i find a nice place in the forest right near teos cave to build a hut, so i begin building. 1/4 my stats: hp 10, attack 2 950 gil bow, quiver, 30 arrows. job:archer i go out lookin for food. i come accross a fleeing scarab so i run in front of it, hide behind a tree, and wen it came near, i popped out and fired an arrow at it using my high speed... i hit it in the leg, right near the body, and for some odd reason, it died. as i gathered the dregs of the kill for dinner, i thought "why did it die in one shot, and in the leg??" i was confused, yet somehow thankful. "somethin fishy is goin on around here" i went back to my 'home' and started a fire to cook the dregs on... i only have 29 arrows now
OOC: can we have like special weapons for archers that like mages cant have or anything?? that would be cool... somethin that separates the mages from the archers... or maybe even like fire arrows for more experienced archers or snipers...thx hey howd u level up? u gotta tell all of us because its not fair if u dont... is it like a certain amount of kills? dont forget that u used arrows up...just a reminder...

Level 1 is like you didn't have the job at all, but as you level up, an archer might learn new tactics and might make money making his own bows. But for now, we haven't devised special attacks.
OOC: Second, you level up by killing enemies near your stats, and sometimes several of them. You won't learn much from killing an ant hill, but you'll learn a lot from overpowering a bear. Remember LEVEL UP ! ! is Experience, training, learning, and all that moral stuff...
I wake up to find a new neighbor! Nonetheless, I keep at my shop using my twig trick until the shop makes a nice counter. 7/10, nearly there! Then everyone will pay an enourmous sum for tools! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! GIL BE MINE!!
No battling now...G'dnight.
OOC: I'll add your settlment to the map black...just need some time.
