This is only the signup sheet. i will create the rp later.
welcome to l)ragons! were anything can happen (except stuff that breaks the rules.) l)ragons takes place in an epic age with much fantasy, magic, swordfighters, etc. this may be sort of like Pointless (c), but actually what i expected it to be. instead of a log, an rpg, more like a story.
there are some different races and jobs you can become in l)ragons, i will list them below. Different jobs obviously have different abilites, but in l)ragons, you can make up your own abilites for your own job! on the same level of pointless though, be fair. i will explain how abilites work in a second.
-=races=-
yoshi: the dinosaur race. he is pretty ballenced with most jobs. comes in male & female.
humans: the human race. like yoshis, they are ballenced. comes in male and female.
Elvaan: the elfish race. very good with sword play, attacking, and magical abilites. lacks, however, in defencive jobs. male and female.
lost children: the child race. very very good in magical abilites. lacks skills in attacking, and defencive. the lost children race will not grow older. male and female.
vex: the bird race. the armored all-female race is incredibly good at defending for others. ok in magic skill, but lacks attacking.
if you are a male, you must pic a male job and vice versa.
-=jobs=-
swords player: a decent amature sword job.
thief: a decietful stealing job.
priest: a mage who practices white, and healing magic.
dark priest: a mage who practices dark magic
gray priest: a priest who practices both dark and white magic.
archer: an amiture bow-man.
landswalker: gets used to animals, can use magic by using nature.
-=advanced jobs=-
paladin: a defencive sword wielder. must have swordsplayer mastered with high skills. can use some white/healing magic.
monk: a fist fighter. uses claws and knuckles for attacking. must have swordsplayer masted with high skills. uses no magic.
samari: an offencive sword wielder. must have swordsplayer masted with high skills. can use no magic.
ninja: a dual sword wielder. must have thief masted with high skills. can use ninjitsu and some dark magic.
summoner: can summon creatures. must have landswalker mastered, and know a few spells with either priest or darkpriest.
elementalist: must have landswalker mastered with high skills. uses a more viriety of nature spells.
blue sage: must have gray priest mastered. can hold raipers. can only use magic tapped out of nature's creatures.
white mage: uses strong white/healing magic. must have priest masterd a very long way.
dark mage: uses strong dark/destructive magic. must have dark priest mastered a very long way.
sniper: must have very good aim skills with archer. can now hold a sword.
assasin: must have very good skills as a sniper and a thief. uses a bow to sneak up and doom his/her target by surprise. does not deal ranged damage.
beast master: can call apon beasts to fight for him or her. must have landswalker mastered. can use some magic high dark spells.
l)ragon §layer: obtains a permanant compainion wryven to ride and battle alongside. must have landswalker and samari mastered. can use magic abilites if they were learned in the past.
morphher: must have landswalker skills mastered to a high level. morphs into a single animal, sort of like using magic. a piece of the animals dna is required instead of a scrool, difficult to get.
any race may select any job, but advanced jobs must have the required skill level, and you must also do a quest.
2 abilites can be learned each level. your level can reach 25, and then you cannot grow higher. you start at level 1. when i say you can reach 25, thats 25 for each job. if your a swordsplayer, and you want to switch to dark priest, then your level becomes 1. if you switch back to swords player, your level goes back to 25.
each player that starts starts with a l)'s soul. its basically a spirit dragon that follows you everywere. it keeps your levels, gives you tips when attacking, etc. IT CANNOT CAUSE DAMAGE, OR PROTECT YOU IN ANYWAY, ITS JUST A SPIRIT. if you get the l)ragon §layer job however, your dragon can do these things, execpt use magic. it will use a breath attack instead.
a swordsplayer has no abilites? actually it does. you can make some abilites up with swordsplayer and other non magic user jobs as long as they arent magic abilites. mabye like lure to make the enemy so its only attacking you, and not damaging your mage friend.
weapons, and magic. where do i get them? shops. make sure you find money someway though. magic spells comes in the form of scrolls, books etc except for nature magic. nature magic you must tap through nature to find - its not permanant.
to obtain weapons, make them yourself with tools such as a hatchet for a staff or wand, or go to a smith. OR you can buy premade weapons. isnt that cool?
all types of jewls, why are they expencive and most wanted among magic users? mages have only a short amount of magic power in which they use to cast spells with. you rest to regain your health and mp, but what if you want more mp? you can store alot of mp into precious stones such as jewls, and tap the mana out of them when you need it. there is no such item for non-magic users since health is pleanty. attackers and magic users tend to have a low health, so watchout when you attack!
-=pets=-
so you want to bring your pet chao, pokemon, kirby, whatever along, or some other thing? thats cool! you can make them have jobs like you.
-pet jobs-
mini striker- a small swordsplayer.
mana holder- your friend can hold much magic power for you, even more then the largest jem!
mini bowplayer: can hold bows, and shoot.
mini thief: can use basic thief abilites such as stealing from another target.
-advanced pet jobs-
mini ninja- must have mini strikers and mini thiefs skills to a high level. can dual wield and use basic ninjitsu and dark spells.
mini assassin- must have mini thief, mini striker, and mini bowplayer. can use basic dark spells, and basic assassin skills.
mini l)ragon rider- must have mana holder and mini swordsplayer mastered. your race must have unlocked the l)ragon §layer job. can ride your companion while holding a polearm, and use basic mage attacks.
(if you have more then one pet, their power is devided into both of them. im not good at explaining >,>. for example, lets say you have 2 pokemon. each pokemon can only have half of what the power of one pet would have. get it? if you have 3, it would be divided into three, and so fourth.)
your pet can only grow to level 15, and cannot marry.
not many jobs, but oh well. i cant make this go on forever! (or can i? thats actually the point. theres no end!) pets that are strikers have much more lower hp and attack for alot less then regular races. the mana holder can learn some very very basic spells, and has a very low hp, but can hold much more mp then the basic jobs. when you rest, they rest. that goes for if you ever get a l)ragon too.
why is there male and female? well, this may sound wierd, but when you get to level 20, you can get married to a member of your opisite sex! this isnt a permanat marrage irl or anything. you just get a cool ring, a house to live in together, and a title to call eachother husband and wife.
and if i dont like this idea? you dont have to get married, its just another feature of l)ragons.
please make your leveling abilites long, mabye one level about 3 days, and 1 level for advanced jobs 5 days minimum.
l)ragons and l)'s cannpt marry.
your companion l)ragon's level, if you ever get one, is your l)ragon §layer's job level. also, if you ever get the l)ragon §layers job, your wyrven cannot wear armor.
how do i get expearience? well, this rp and others all have somthing in common - you role play! kill monsters for expeariance. (You make up your monsters)
why is this signup sheet so long? so that noobs cannot join because they dont feel like reading the rules.
what do you start with? a house, a l)'s soul, a set of your peticular races cloathing (i will list below) a wooden sword if your a swordsplayer, a wooden knife if your a thief, a plastic bow if your an archer, small stick staff if your any type of priest, and a wooden club if your a landswalker. you also start out with a small pouch of gold.
(you can only wear your races cloathing. you cannot trade things you start with with another player, and you cannot sell anything you start with.)
cloathing:
yoshi - custom saddle, custom fingerless gloves, and coustom boots.
human: custom shorts, custom l sleaved shirt, custom fingerless gloves, custom shoes.
elvaan: same as above.
lost children: small tunic, small gloves, small swim-suit trunks (male), small swimsuit bottem with towel (female) small boots.
vex: custom l sleaved shirt, custom boots, custom l skirt, custom fingerless gloves.
a note on cloathing: there are 6 different cloathing slots, 3 different weapon slots, and 4 accessory slots. the cloathing slots include:
head, body, hands, legs, feet, and back.
weapon slots include:
sword, shield, and bow and arrows.
accessory slots include (can only choose 4 out of the 6):
ring, ring, earing, earing, armlet, armlet.
for the weapon slot - you cant hold a sword and a shield if you have a two-handed sword, and you cant hold a shield if you have a great bow.
what does my pet start with? nothing. you must buy things for them. they dont have the arms / legs slot, and they only have 2 accessory slots.
what is synthesis, and how do i use it? first you need to purchase a special crystal called a synthesis crystal. synthesis combines objects together, cuts them down, melts them etc. to make certain things. synthesis will not always prove sucessful however. results in failing a synthesis session are loss in crystal and possibly loss in objects used for synthesis. raising your synthesis skill helps when your making more complex items such as cloathing and gold jewlry. these things can also be made by the old fashoned way - which will not fail, but takes time.
i guess you can call this pointless three, but dont make it like the older pointlesses. please list your stats below.
name: Stensin
race: lost children (male.)
job: swordsplayer
l) soul's name: Lumiere
l) soul's gender: female
pet(s): NoMingo
pet race: charmader /w charizard wings
pet job: mini striker
admin: yes.
(ld and teo also have the right to be mods since they had that place in the privious pointless. please dont ask to be one.)
questions? comments? jobs or rule requests? ask below!
(this page is still being modified at times. dont be alarmed if a rule has changed, just make sure to check back often.)
updates:
10/10/05: synthesis rules added.
10/2/05: now 6 cloathing slots - got rid of arms.
