rules: before you start posting in this thread, you must sign up and read the rules at the signup thread. also, do not talk unless you are talking ooc. if you have questions, ask them in the Pointless Chat thread, or the signup thread if you have questions about the rules. otherwise, have fun!





game start

stence is a villager at a town. he dosent know much. he has a wooden sword he plays around with, but then he sees somthing on the town bullitin: "RABBIT SEASON! bring your weapons, hunt now! they are large, and have good meat! dont miss this oppertunity!" stence goes back to his house, and quickly grabs his sword and straps it to his back. while hes hastily getting ready, he tells NoMingo, his pet, what he had just seen. NoMingo excaimes that he wants to come to. off they go.

stence reaches the towns gate, and wonders out and into the fields that surround the town. he sees a rabbit almost instantly. "here we are" he things to himself. getting ready to quickly jump the rabbit by surprise, stence sneaks up, and pulls his sword above his head. the rabbit turns around. instead of the creature running, it knocked stence right in the nose. stence was so shocked, he fell backward! NoMingo helped stence up, and just about when the rabbit was about to hit again, stence brought his sword down, knocking it with a strong blow. stence practiced with his sword often. the rabbit started to squirm away. stence trapped the rabbit, and bam, it knocked out. stence felt a little tingly in the head. "what was that all about? and that...that rabbit..."said stence. "it wasnt ordinary, that was pure evil!" just then, a small blue orb floated down from the sky. "what the heck?" stence slowly touched the orb. it burned his hands, then the burning stoped. stence just held it, and then a ghosty dragon erupted right infront of him. stence fell back again. "ahh!" he said. "you are one who must help fight" said the dragon. "wha-what are you?" "i am a l)'s spirit, its too complicated for you to understand right now. that tingling feeling you felt - that is whats called expearence. after so much ex, lets call it, you will level up." "what?" said stence. "this is just my imagination, life isnt like an rpg!" "you will feel, and indeed be stronger when you level up. i will always be by your side unless you get a dragon companion of your own." "dragons aren't real! just mythical!" "Stence...its ok. did you see the evil in that rabbit? this isnt normal either. i must talk with you so you can learn how to make the best out of what you do."

so, stence, and lumiere, (stence later finds is the name of his l)'s spirit) talk about the different jobs, stence finds out he is a swordsplayer, and that NoMingo is a mini striker. he knows his role now, and sets off back to town so shocked, he just leaves the fresh meet on the ground.

I was strolling along on the island, a soft breeze blowing around me, making its swishing sounds as it sped by. The walk as I thought of it, would be short, for two hands errupted from the sand and a small mound with eyes errupted in the middle...

-Sound of the final battle from super mario64-

The hands dashed at me, but I was able to dodge using yoshi-like agility and dashed for the head, which seemed like the most important part and licked it up, but only tasted sand.

Turn 1 over, no damage delt by anyone.

This would not be easy, I could not hurt it physically, I had to do it some other way! Out of the blue, a pikachu came! A pikachu here? No matter, it stepped on one of the red eyes, and I took advantage to throw an egg at the other. In this time though, both hands grabbed the pikachu and seemed to tighten it to an uncomfortable state.

Turn 2 over, signs of fatigue in opponent, pikachu seems weak.

I take advantage of the situation and reach deep under the arms for something, and find something which I tug and bring up something dark which dissipates with the light.

Battle over, enemy destroyed.

I hold the pikachu, cuddling it in my arms as a white shape erupts from the ground, taking the form of a winged worm of sort. "Hello there brave one," it said in a soother voice. "My name is Ethra, I am what is called a |) soul, I will acompany you, for a great journey begins!" I looked at it with a smile on my face, and the birds around me cawed and the animals wooped as a sensation of pure joy ran through me.

ooc: i have editited the rules. 3 days of game play earns you 1 level, and for advanced jobs its 5 days of game play earns you 1 level. that goes for your pets too.

Stence headed into town with lumiere and NoMingo. he had learned much, and what he had to do now. we went straight to the smith with his allowence, and had him make a sword and shield for NoMingo, a pair of steel gloves, and boots. this ate up much of stence's money, but he needed his friend protected. he next went to the town's tanner, and with the rest of his money, stence had a coif of steel silk made for NoMingo. "Great." stence exclaimed.

OOC: So, since I'm a level 1 landswalker, that means I have access to the basic moves...I'll do my post in a sec, gotta review a rule...

With the pikachu and Ethra trailing by my side, I went to town...the soul hidding behind pikachu as we got into a crowded area. "What's wrong Ethra?" She spoke with her mind, It's not everyday a ghost like figure accompanies someone, I would hate to cause shock. I kept going to a certain shop to stock up on supplies. I went to a shop and looked around, but I soon realized I had no money, zip. Pikachu nudged my side with a single bright, yellow coin in his mouth. "Thank youuu pikachu!" I showed it to the attendant, it would not get much, but it was a start. I looked around and I saw a bag...maybe useful. It was labeled three silver coins...I had a gold which was worth ten. I saw a pickaxe right next to it labeled eight silver coins. This was quite the dilema...and I sat on it for a while, the shopkeeper waiting patiently...

"Uhm...can I get a slight discount, or is that a firm price for the pick and sack?" I said, hesitantly. He lost it, "You know what, just take them, I can spare myself a silver," I smiled and handed him the coin while I walked out with the pickaxe and sack. "Thank you!" I waved back, starting to wonder if this place had any minerals I could get... it would let me get some money.

I wandered into the woods, searching for a half decent place. I felt like I was followed...I turned around, nothing. I kept going on my path and found a large boulder...maybe I'd strike it lucky? I swung the pickaxe into the boulder as there was a bright sparkle. I thought to myself, is it that easy? I looked and saw the grey boulder with a crack and I had made a few sparks on the impact. I sighed and swung horizontaly, swinging the pick into the rock, pickachu a distance back ducking for cover, the |) soul still on pika's back, now watching me too. After what seemed like five minutes of swinging at the rock, a final hit and the boulder chipped a large chunk off it. I observed the little rock, it was only some sort of black stuff on the inside, which I cracked again to reveal more black rock.

I swung back at the boulder, but soon decided I had no luck, when my |) soul came up to me. You know, gold and treasure is not found in rocks and on mountain, but deep in the Earth, although gold is closer to the surface. I sat down bewildered...it was true.

I hit the rock angrily with one more swing, sending more sparks, and splitting the rock in half. I observed the rock, and THIS TIME the shinning persisted. In that big boulder, there was a tiny hunk of quartz. I carefully used my pick to bring it out and slightly damaging it, got a piece of quartz the size of my thumb. "Time to go back," I said. Looking behind me though, I saw a heapload of rabbits, deer, raccoons, squirrels, bears, and all sorts of animals! I stood there a bit dumbfounded...sitting there...

stence, with his pet half armored, went out to fight. instantly, he saw rabbits, possibly a dozen of them. he took his sword, and made a quick swinging motion, and knocked the rabbit doing critical damage. the rabbit came back ready for attacking just when NoMingo used a quick flick of his sword, and out went the rabbit. "awsome!" excalaimed stence. not only did the rabbit drop the meat, but it also droped some coins - not alot of cash. just worth about half of a gold coin. this cycle, stence and NoMingo repeated with the rest of the rabbits. about half of the dozen droped coins, and all of them droped meat. stence collected all of the spoils, and rested with NoMingo. stence didnt notice the golbin come up behind him. hit hit him so hard he tumbled while resting. he got up with NoMingo. he knew he could do somthing even though he was just a week swordsplayer. lumiere floated beside him, and told him quickly about a special ability that could be used just once every day. stence searched his mind, and indeed, found this ability. he used it. he engaged the monster. stence couldnt believe it! everyone of his sword hits were critical. stence knew he couldnt make it. right when the goblin lifted its sword for the final blow, NoMingo came in, and used a rage that was stored up inside from being hit by other rabbits, and hitting them. it gave stence just the distraction. using his built up rage, he made the final blow with a critical hit. the goblin fell, and dropped a crystal. stence went and picked it up. "wow..." he exclaimed. he started to glow with gold light. "LEVEL UP!" appeared around him. "sweet!" he said. he didnt even feel like he had to rest anymore! it was as if all his stanima had been restored - he felt like a million bucks. lumiere explained to stence that the build up rage that was used was called technique power. if he used the same type of weapon so many hits, he would get a weapon skill - a special attack unique with that type of weapon. stence kept this in mind, and headed back to town to sell the rabbit meat, and the few furs he also found.

I turned to all the animals, they were scarred of something by the looks of horror and petrification in their eyes. "Uhm...Ethra? Will you please look behind me? I have a feeling I don't want to myself in fear of looking like them..." Indeed, the soul came out and looked in horror. OH MY GOODNESS! A BASILISK!! A baby, but its eyes could stun a yack! I knew it!" Listen, as long as I'm around, you may unlock a key ability that will help you when you're in trouble, find it! I reached deep in my head, feeling the basilisk approaching...I took my piece of quartz from my bag and reached for this 'ability.' I reached deep in my mind until a total peace found me. I felt energy flow through my veins all of a sudden and the peace ended as I spun around, my quartz glowing golden as I did so.

LEVEL UP!! Access to level 2 Landswalker spells!

A huge root erupted from under me and slammed on the baby basilisk, seemingly causing it distress, and eventually, having it nearly die off. Ethra 'wispered' to me, That wasn't your ability!! I stood a bit shocked. I just summoned a giant root to flatten a monster. I suddenly felt more energy suddenly well up, then calm back down as the basilisk made a final gasp and died, but instead of a death, smoke left it, encircling me. Now THAT is your ability, once a day only... I suddenly knew what to do with the smoke! I put it in a tight ball and fused it with the crystal, allowing a sapphire...ready for cutting...appear instead of the quartz. I just turned a soul and a stone into a gem. There you go, your ability is to take a dead animal soul and give it rest, where it will thank you sometimes by giving you a present. Not all the time though, if the creature truly did not want to escape its life, it will leave behind a black stone, either Jet or Schrol I believe. The stone would lock in evil, but a good stone can store magic...you just never know though if somethings going to make a diamond trying to trick you...if they know.

I tucked the sapphire in my bag, as I turned to see the animals gone. I thought, why'd the basilisk give me a good stone? what could make it hate life?

stence goes into town, and stops in front of a trader. stence shows the trader the rabit furs, and offers them more then their worth in his town. the trader looks at them with shimmering eyes. he quickly snatches the offer, and hands stence a half of a sack of gold. stence then goes to the butcher, and sells the rabbit meat for a few silvers. stence is astounded by his pay, so he uses a silver, and buys a feast for NoMingo and himself. he then goes outside, and resumes training on the wildlife. he finds alot of coppers, and some skins that could be crafted into better cloathing. he returns to town to sleep for the night.

OOC: Lava, you clearly said in your last post you lost the battle O.o. Red appointed me a mod, and I do believe that coming back from the dead like that is just something that isn't done .

I went back to town, Ethra the |) sould clinging on pikachu and pikachu now hidding in my bag, looking at the sapphire. I saw two shops that caught my eye, a jewelery store, and a magic shop. I could sell or ask about my piece of rock in either, so first I entered the crafting shop. The man there told me: "A sapphire of that qua- I mean, your sapphire seems of a low quality, I would be willing to buy it for...ten gold coins?" ten gold was a lot to me, but I felt it was worth more. "Thirty," I jabbed at him. "Twenty five," he retaliated. "Fourty," I struck back. "Thirty five and that's tops!!" I put on a pleased smile. "Hold that offer, I've got to check something at the magic shop first. If they can't tell me anything, I'll bring it back here." The man hesitated a lot, then out of the blue, "FIFTY!! FINAL OFFER!!"

I decided he was bent on getting this gem, and I finally sold it to him as I counted up my coins and put them in my bag with pikachu (who appreciated something to fidget with).

We finally entered the magic shop, wondering what could lie in wait. As we entered the shop, pikachu left the bag and looked around. The walls were purple and the blinds shut, creating a thick atmosphere of sorts. I saw all sorts of interesting wares, there were staves hung on the wall, rune stones on display, magic books, magazines, boxes, and just about anything you could think of. I looked at the wizard in waiting as he greeted me, "Welcome, look around. And tell your yellow friend to stop touching that," Pikachu look up with a 'pik?' sound as he accidentaly dropped a white ball and it exploded on the floor overwhelming the place in fumes. "You broke it, you bought it, one silver piece!!" He said angrily. "We'll take 9 more," I said, not wanting to have too much change as I took nine balls into my bag.

I looked up and saw a magnificent staff, "How much is this?" He looked at me laughing. "That's a walking stick, not a staff!!" I flushed red in the cheeks. I looked around and flipped open a spell book, which was suprisingly small and taught you odd spells for your household, another for your appearance, one whole heafty book of love spells, but nothing useful...except maybe the 'small' love book, you never knew. "ten gold coins for the small, thirty page love book." I was amazed, and as if he read my mind, "We have to copy everything by hand, it won't work if a printer is used, and these spells are in high demand." I still bought it, wanting to give away change...

I then finally saw what would be a true staff, it had very small emeralds embedded all across it and a diamond on the tip. "Nature stave," the wizard muttered. "One thousand gold coins, guaranteed for life." I looked in a bit of disbelief. "Uhm...fourty coins, a small love book, and nine smoke bombs?" His eyes slanted. "Look, its not the wood, its the gems in it. An emerald is worth the least, but is still about five gold coins for every one you see..." there were nearly twenty all along the staff. "Then that diamond at the top is worth the bulk, at five hundred gold coins...it is not that that necessary though I find, I much prefer an emerald head, in fact, I have one that might be up for six hun-never mind, you don't have enough as it is." It was true. "I better go now, how much for the walking stick?" I said lastly. "Take it, I found it on the ground one day." I thanked him and left, examining my new staff. I found out the wood was partially rotting and started smelling a bit akward...but any ways, it was still hard as a...stick.

Teo...armed with: 39 gold coins, a small love book, nine smoke bombs, and a stick.
Pikachu...armed with the |) soul, although useless.

Teo is a level 2 landswalker and 2 days from level 3.

ooc: lava, keep in mind that if you have multiple charaters or pets that they can only have the shared strength of 1 charater put together.

stence woke up with NoMingo, and had a quick snack of berrys. he went to town, killing rabbits as he went along. he collected their spoils- 1 fur and some meat. he didnt find any coppers, unfortunatly. as he reached town, he noticed a disturbance. he went to the tanner, and spent all of his silver making a tough hide set of armor for himself. he also got a royal blue cape for free because he brought a whole set. he went to the smith, and had the smith smith him a sword asking him to place the diamond in it. he wouldnt be strong enough to weild it yet, but he could at level five. he also had him smith him a shield using the rest of his gold. stence couldnt wield this either until level five. he left, and noticed that the whole disturbance was to a bandant. he had his back turned to stence. he knew that he didnt have his weapon skill, but he went for an attack anyway. he snuck up on the bandant's backside while NoMingo veered to his front. hastly, red brought his sword down on the bandit, and as he turned around in shock, NoMingo jumped him with his sword, and tackled him to the ground. Stence slashed away at the bandant without mercy. just when the bandant slashed stence, doing critical damage, NoMingo brought his sword, and sliced the bandants neck. end. stence felt stronger, but his heart was sickend with death. he had leveled. he picked up the few gold coins that the bandant had left, and stode off to an inn were he could rest up for a very low cost. (NoMingo learns the fire-breath pet ability.)

OOC: So lava, this means that the power of your pets is DIVIDED...each pet must have fractions of a level. Which also means, since you have five pets, when your pets level, it gives a fraction of a normal level up!

OOC: LD, you have several pets, so their power has to be divided amongst them...you have three pets, so their powers are divided by THREE (which includes attack, defence, health, and their job)!! Just to let you know.

I went to the local hotel, where he went up to the counter and asked for a room. "Ten gold coins," the man asked. I looked in my sack and saw Pikachu, but he was only holding...exactly ten gold coins. Pikachu started doing motions, until Ethra translated. Ethra said, You were pick-pocketed...and pikachu faught, but the person managed to quiet him and silently steal your money...I was rather suprised that you didn't notice, but the person was very experience. I looked at them, and reluctantly payed up my gold. I headed to the room, finding out I had gotten a good room and I had a view of the forest. Remember young one, you are now what is called a landswalker, one who controls and communicates with nature...use it well, train it here. Pikachu will be able to hold some energy for you if you need it, and give it back in the heat of battle. control nature, that was nice.

A raven came up to me, and squaked...startling enough, it was using words. "What are you doing in my room big nose??" I looked at it shocked, and answered, "Your room?" It squaked pack un-afraid, "I've got a nest under that bed, a wife and five kids!!" I looked under the bed, the raven on my arm, and sure enough, a mother raven and five hatchlings. I said astounded, "Wow, I never knew...first I get a mysterious ancient soul, then I get attacked by a basilisk, and now I understand animals. Nothing can suprise me any longer." The raven pecked the back of my head, "Will you clear our room please??" I looked at it, I payed my last coins for this room, I wanted it. "Maybe we could...share?" I said slowly. It looked displeased, but then it looked at how big a yoshis jaws really were, but unafraid, it spoke still, "Alright, you win, but you better not creak all night!!" I tested the bed...foam! my favorite. "That won't be a problem," I said without hesitation.

Teo is a level 2 Landswalker with 1 day to go before leveling up. He has a book on love spells, a stick, a pick, and a bag.

Pikachu is a level 2 mana holder with 1 day to go before leveling up. He is equipped with the |) soul.

Ethra is a level 541 logic user and smart alec with one second to go before leveling up...she leveled up!

using one of his gold coins, stence suprisingly got into one of the best hotels. he was shocked. he never considred the value of just one gold coin. as he approached the wild, he noticed that when he killed a rabbit he hardly got any experience. stence and NoMingo ventured further into the forest. they found tougher enimes such as sheep. red and NoMingo looked at eachother and nodded. they would try to fight the sheep. stence drew his sword, and NoMingo matched. stratigically, they cornered the large sheep. stence found that he had another ability - one that let him take a big thrust at the begining of the battle. so, stence attacked first. BAM! all of the sudden, stence felt the fear of death. the sheep hit him, and he felt his heath drain. NoMingo was there to back him up, quickly using his new skill following up with a quick barrige of sword forms. one after the other, the burnt sheep couldnt catch NoMingo, but after it did, he fell to the ground, stunned. quickly, stence lunged his sword at the sheep. by now, the sheep had only about half of its original health. the sheep hit stence again. stence was very very weak now, but he continued fighting with all his streangh, and used all of his known sword forms. NoMingo quickly got up. with combined power of his new pet ability, and his sword, he used a flame sword weapon skill, draining the sheeps health dramatically. one more blow from the sheep would kill NoMingo or stence. stence hit the sheep for one last blow, and then used his final strike - his weapon skill. bam! the sheeps health feel to none. stence and NoMingo fell to the ground, exuasted.

As I woke up (well, woken up) to the ravens soft pecking sounds against the bottom of my bed, I calmy got up in records time to look underneath my bed, where the ravens were surrounded in plants, screaming...

"WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?" they yelled.

Teo leveled up his Landswalker skills during his sleep...which disturbed the ravens!

stence and NoMingo awake. they decide to sleep the day away since they are still exausted. stence cooks the pieces of rabbit meat, and makes meals out of them and berries, and minty grasses that surround the area for NoMingo and himself. they eat, giving them an edge so they will heal faster then normal when they sleep until the effect wears off.

Gothpuff: You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but the Heartless are invading.
Lava: Hmm. You're particularly calm.
Gothpuff: Aren't I always?
Then, the two get assaulted by a small Heartless!

Teo left his hotel and went to the forest, finding it filled with life. He usually saw nothing but trees in the forest, but this time, he could actually see everything there was, all the life and all that was going on. He reached out his mind and felt more and more creatures conciousness, as some seemed to give a jump as he did. Teo sat in the middle of the woods on a rock and did this, starting to let his mind waver...slowly...

He woke up with a start when Ethra finished sleeping and Teo found himself on a bed of vines, which quickly recoiled to find they had been suspending him! Teo dropped onto a pile of leaves that quickly gathered under-neath and caught his fall, pikachu suddenly falling on Teo's stomach and Ethra following behind, stopping right before he hits the ground. Ethra said, in an interested tone, "You're getting good at this..."

Teo is a level 3 landswalker with 2 days to go till leveling up.

Pikachu is a level 3 Mana holder with 2 days to go until leveling up.

On them are a love book of spells, ten gold coins, nine smoke bombs, a bag and a pickaxe.
