The rest of the day was kind of boring... Except for lunch. Everyone liked watching me eat again. Someone took an orange out of my lunch pail and tossed it in the air. I retrieved it with my tongue as fast as he threw it in the air. One of my friends said that he wished he could do that. "Yeah... just wait until your parents see you and they have a heart attack... I just smiled at him back.
Obviously, upon him saying that, he must not have understand what I went through in order to be this way and still be accepted into society. I still have no idea what caused my body to undergo its transformation. At this point, I guess that doesn't concern me anymore. I'm having the best time of my life.
There were still a few of my teachers and classmates who were in shock at my new appearance. I guess I didn't really pay attention to their reaction; I just tried to have a normal day at school. Of course, today wasn't a normal Wednesday after I had PE. I'm starting to like that class more than ever.
When I arrived home from school, there was a ton of snow on the ground. "I can go outside to play and still get my homework done tonight." So I bundled up and went outside, and jumped - literally - into the snow. I must have forgotten that I had amazing jumping abilities now, since I was surprised that I was about 5 feet off the ground now. I kicked by feet around in a flutter jump and flew higher. I was leaning in a way that when I landed, I wasn't on the ground; I was on the roof of my house. I had an excellent bird's-eye view of my street. I was excited, yet cautious at the same time. "What if the roof caves in?" It didn't though. I jumped off the roof, and landed on the ground.
The snow was falling steadily from the sky. I started to notice an accumulation on my oversized nose. I picked some snow off the ground and packed it into a snowball. Then, I chucked it as far as I could. The snowball landed in the neighbor's yard, across the street. As the days get shorter with the change in season, I notice the sky start to get dark. I looked at my watch; it was still only 4:15. However, the air had become colder, and I decided to go back inside.
I finished my homework before my mom came home from work at 5:00, and had another large dinner consisting of nothing but fruit. For the remainder of the night, I watched the Weather Channel a little bit, and played a few games on the computer. Before I knew it, it was already 11:00, and I was starting to get tired. I went to bed shortly thereafter; even though today was exciting, tomorrow was still another day.

I saw something silvery on the news. A dragon, with a black winged thing. I looked harder, and saw it was a Yoshi. I knew Teo, from Yoshi's Corner, had a dragon character, but was that him? If so, then he was all the way in California... Voshee called. I didn't know how to get to her house, so she hung up. I thought for a second, then called her back. "Voshee, I think I can run there. I feel hyper suddenly. Just let me write down the directions." I instructed.

I felt weaker and weaker by every second that passed. The lack of energy was begining to become very unbareable.
"I just can't... stay awake anymore. No hiding is worth this much... I thought. I watched the dragons speaking towards eachother. They didn;t seem like the type that would threaten you, but nonetheless, I was still not willing to take such a risk. Either way, the concequences would become dire.
I realized I only had so much longer to remain concious without food. I tried to walk away from my hiding spot, but I hit a tree root as I began to walk, and crashed down. I didn't have tne energy to get back up. I needed to rest very badly.

red woke up, hungry and homesick. lumiere laid next to him, awake as well. there was nothing to eat, they where too high up in the mountains. "where should we go next lumiere, i know enrique from yoshis corner lives in new york, but where bounded to be spotted as soon as we cross the border." lumiere looked at red strangely, as if she didnt understand. red found a stick, and started to draw in the dirt. "well, heres lake erie, if we just make it to the great lakes..." red knew that from there, it was impossible to get to enrique since he was basically in the heart of new york. tears fell, ruining the map. even if he could fit into a disguise, it would be obvious that he wasnt human, and he would be captured instantly. besides, after hed gotten in, there would be no way out. "just another big trap!" red yelled and kicked a clump of ground. "theres some use in trying.." said lumiere. "but...what if enrique already left, or was captured?" "enrique might not even be a yoshi." lumiere echoed. that never occured to red. he hadnt seen a normal person in a few days, and was kinda used to looking at himself. "ok, i guess it is worth a try, we would be super lucky if we pulled this off." "very..." aggreed lumiere. so, red started planing. they where to head south, and land in a forest near lake errie. they where hoping they could make it that far without being captured, pensylvania with large citys itself. they where then going into the great lake upto the boarder of new york. this is where lumiere could wait for a few days, she could hunt and hide easily without being spotted. red then would board some type of veichle on the way to where enrique lives. he didnt know what to do after that, he just needed to see a familer face. "enrique might be human, but weather he is or not, he may be willing to come with us." red left the plans on the ground, and mounted lumiere who took off twords the east, but less easily because of lack of food.

The parents decided to call the hospital while they told Yoshiken to just stay put. Yoshiken decided to go out in the back and see what his new body has to offer. He spread out his wings and tried flying but he instantly failed. He never figured flying could be so difficult. He tried again, this time trying to get the right amount of wind to uplift his wings, he actually did it for a few feet and then fell right back down. He kept trying, eager to get the flying down right. After a few more tries he was finally up in the air, He had control of his wings and he couldnt of been happier.
Yoshiken went back inside to see if there was any more information on what would be done for him. He heard sirens, the Ambulence must be in his proximity. He told his parents that he was going to fly onto the roof and see whats happening. What he saw frightened him...not just the Ambulence was here...so was the press, and the police! and many more! Yoshiken ran inside and grabbed his backpack and stuffed whatever he could in it.
Yoshiken was afraid of what would become of him, he couldnt face this...not now, Yoshiken flew up into the air and decided that he would have to leave. He could see that some of the cars were daring to chase him, but Yoshiken easily out ran them since they he was in the air. He flew for what seemed to be forever until night hit, He passed a mountain range and started to settle down in an open area for that night.
Yoshiken noticed that he wasnt affected by the cold air that much. some kind of heat inside him kept him from experiencing the Cold. He gathered some sticks and twigs nearby and built a makeshift campfire. He didnt know how to light it though. He decided to do what he had seen so often on Television. He gathered to sticks and started rolling one quickly to cause friction and heat. It didnt work.
After a couple more tries Yoshiken became very upset and wouldnt give up. He lost his temper and anger overpowered him after nothing would come out of the stick, not heat, no smoke, nothing at all. He screamed at the stars because of the built up anger and a giant burst came from his hand. He stumbled back a bit and looked at the fire that now appeared in the spot of the logs (not to mention the area around the logs too)
"Did....i do that?" Yoshiken wondered to himself and looked at his hand to see small flames appearing from his hand.
"I...DID! I DID DO THAT!!" Yoshiken was amazed at his newly found ability. He decided that he would try to master this new ability.

"Uh...Oops, sorry about that, I guess I got a little carried away," I said with me sticking my tongue out slightly, grinning, and scrathing the back of my head. I just noticed, I was getting ired from all the flapping. I slowly headed down to the area, and walked to them.
"Hey, uh...sorry again. I over reacted about seeing a Dragon around, and I didn't know about you being a Yoshi... sigh...note to myself, if you see something that resembles a Dragon, try to get into it thoughts... Anyway, that's over, my name is Jayshi or just Jay, whatever you chose."

Yoshiken set aside another pile of sticks and logs aside from the campfire to practice his new-found ability. He stepped back a couple of feet and aimed his hand towards the pile. He concentrated his mind on summoning fire from his hand. He could feel the energy rushing towards his palm but nothing happened. He decided to try again and to concentrate harder and to focus more, Flames started to emerge from his hand, the Fire started out small and insignificant but it eventually to grow quite large. After he noticed the fire becoming large enough, he let go of his concentration and the flames shot out at the set of logs. They were engulfed in flames immediately.
"yes! but i still need more practice..."

"Get up." I tried to push myself upwards. I was so weak by now, so pathetic. It took all of my energy just to push my body off the ground. I forced myself upright, into a sitting position. I looked at my hands and arms. Cuts and bruises where all over me, and it was indeed painful. It was offical: I was doomed unless someone found me, or I found food.
I was still close enough to the other dragons to see them talking. If I could just get their attention! It was so close, and at the same time, very far away. Nothing seemed possible anymore at this point.
But I had to remain awake. It was like small teather that kept me up, the hope that I would find food or aisstance. Then everything'd be better.
"But what can I possibly do?" I thought.

On Thursday, I woke up to a foot and a half of new snow. It was 3:30 when I woke up, refreshing that I sometimes wake up at bizarre times; today ws no exception. However, when I woke up, a bright white mass was nearing the window; it was the snow; the level had risen since yesterday. I looked out the window - without my light on; I would be able to see the reflection of the snow better - snow was flying everywhere. It seemed like a blizzard was occuring. I flipped the light switch; the light didn't go on. "Hm... It should come on... I just saw the time on the clock..." I looked back at my clock; it wasn't functioning, despite it being plugged in. We must've just had a power outage.
I didn't have a flashlight handy in my room to roam about the house. I decided to take the safe way, and stayed in bed. "Besides, it's still 3:30..." I rolled back over and tried to fall back asleep. I closed my eyes and daydreamed about today... There will most likely be no school, and I had the day to do nothing but play... "What a relief that would be..." I soon fell back asleep.
I don't know why, but ever since I became a Yoshi, I've been quieter and shier around other people. Maybe it was because I figured that no one would understand how I feel now that I'm in a different body. I felt okay with that... It wasn't like I was very talkative to begin with... I guess that I'm doing okay with my new self. No one has picked on me yet... And I was still accepted around school... In fact, I think I may be more popular now. But how am I supposed to know... I can't read other people's minds... But I didn't really care; I was happy, and my parents still love me.
I woke up a short while later. My clock was flashing "12:24," so I know that the power came back, but I noticed that it was still dark outside. I flipped on my light and looked at my watch; it was the only accurate clock in the house at the time. "5:16..." I started getting up and reseting all the clocks. When I went to set my parents' clock, I must have waken my dad up, since he whispered to me, "Hey, Jason, what are you doing?" "I'm reseting the clocks. We had a power outage last night." I replied. "What time is it?" "About twenty after five." Dad went back to sleep.
When 6:00 rolled around, I woke both of my parents up to listen to the radio for the school closings. I hated listening to the radio in the house; the only station we can pick up in the house never plays good music. After the song that was currently being played was finished - I couldn't understand any of the words to the song - they announced the school closings. My school was called. I was excited. "YAY! NO SCHOOL TODAY!!!" I yelled in joy. Today was going to be a great day...

red and lumiere arrived at the great lakes. nothing but water as far as the eye could see. red fell off lumiere because he was so tired. he had another dream.
red was at yoshis corner again. he was a yoshi, but no one was there. "where is everyone?" his voice echoed through the streets that he didnt even know existed. someone came and grabbed red. they started pulling him away. red tryed to fight back, but it was no use. deeper and deeper he went into the shadows, then finally falling. ground appeared benith him...
red awoke, heart pounding. snow was falling. it made red shiver. lumiere was out hunting, red grabbed some food from a nearby tree. "lumiere, come back. we need to finish this journey before you can play around." red called from his mind.
red was shaken from his dream. "what does this mean? am i alone?" lumiere came, and grunted. red climed onto her, and she made it the most un-pleasent ride red had ever felt. over the lakes they went, lumiere eating fish whenever they hopped out. "ouch!" said red as his foot cut on one of lumieres spikes as she made a sudden random dip. "why did you do that?" "hmph" said lumiere, impatient.
they finally arrived at the edge of new york. "this is going to be hard..." red muttered. people surrounding everywhere, going to work. what red didnt sea though was that they where all dazed. if godzilla where to attack, they wouldve cared less. red found a small forest which he and lumiere could fit in for rest. red continued to eat off of the trees until he satisfyed his stomach, and lumiere went to skim the water for fish. red sat against a tree, and for the first time on his journey, started playing with spell tags. "i used these in rp's too, but i dont think they would work now." red chuckled at the thought, then cried because he remembered being home playing on his computer, posting to threads on yoshis corner.
red had never tried a spell tag at that moment. he didnt think they would do anything. instead, he arranged them in certain orders on the ground. it was getting dark, and lumiere came back with a full stomach, and a better mood. "im going to bed..." she said as she flew upto a tree branch. "goodnight" said red aloud. lumiere was a tiny dragon, so she didnt break the heavy tree branch.
sleep never came to red. he planned out his next day, and sent images of what was to happen if somthing went wrong to lumiere while she slept. lumiere was to come, and do her best to scare the people away from red. then pick up red and flee. this wasnt a very good plan since lumiere was probably only 3/4 of the size of a normal person, but red was too excited to think straight.
before the sun rose, red left. he went to find a brush next to the road where he could climb aboard a truck, car, or any viechial he could find going into new york.

Yoshiken decided to practice with his Katana but it didnt last long because he was already tired from training his other abilities. He decided to just rest and enjoy the cool, refreshing evening air rushing past him.
He decided it was time to eat and so he grabbed his backpack and pulled out some snacks he grabbed before he headed out and started to eat, but to a small extent so that he could save his rations for as long as he can. He pulled out a small portable radio from his backpack too and decided to see what the press had to say about what they saw. He was amazed at what he heard
"it has come to our attention that some reptilian creature has mutated from a number of Humans, classified as 'Yoshis' this Phenomenon will..." Yoshiken turned it off and thought to himself,
"so there are more....im not the only one...I have to find them!" Yoshiken decided to but it was late and he needed some sleep first. He layed down on the soft dirt, looked up at the clear night sky, and dozed off to sleep...

Once there was enough daylight out to see without a flashlight, I put on some warm clothes and went outside to play. At the time - around 7:30-ish - the air was still extremely cold; I would guess that the temperature of the air was still around 18 or so. "Brrr... Man, it is freezing out here!" But that was fine with me; I was still determined to have a fun time, despite the weather being nearly bearingly cold.
As I jumped in the snow, I noticed that the snow was easily up to my knees. I had to hop high out of the pile and land back on the porch in order to move. I follow the stepway to the driveway; when I reached the driveway, the snow was up to over my ankles. Obviously, the driveway hadn't been shoveled since last night. I went into the garage and retrieved my plastic snow sled and a short, plastic shovel with a wooden handle.
The snow in the lawn was so deep that in order to travel across the field I had to sit in the sled and sort of paddle across the snow with the shovel. As I traveled, I sunk only a little bit into the snow. I reached an area in the middle of the field and stopped. I attemped to shovel a small depression in the snow. I managed to make a small hole in the pile of snow that laid upon the ground. When I felt my shovel hit the ground, I jumped into the hole and started to expand my depression.
As the depression in the snow grew, I noticed that the sides were gradually getting taller and taller. I had built the depression big enough so that the walls had reached about the height of my chest. Now, I felt trapped. I wouldn't be able to move out of the hole without breaking down one of the walls, and partially burying myself in the process. I grabbed my sled, which was nearby one of the walls, while I could, in order to keep it from getting blown away by the wind.
And the snow kept falling... and the wind kept blowing... For entertainment, I leaned my sled up against one of the walls and started throwing snowballs at it. At one point, I started to get drowsy in the hole... and I started to drift off a little bit... The snow continued to fall, except it had snowed a little harder now. I started to fall asleep...
20 minutes later, I woke up. I was in a little panic. "I hope I don't have frostbite! What was I thinking falling asleep?" I was relieved to find out that I was fine; I didn't have frostbite. However, when I started to stand up in my depression, I noticed the snow, which was once clear of burying me, was up to halfway to my knees again. I had to use my shovel to scoop it away, so that I could walk in my hole.
A while later, I decided to get out of my fortress. However, the walls made of snow was over my head... literally. I reached and couldn't reach the top. I had no idea how to get out of the depression... I was stuck in there until someone would come and pull me out...

a truck was coming. red qucikly rolled, and caught onto the bars underneath. the space between the truck and the ground, however, wasnt large enough for him to fit. he scraped his back, and let out a high piched wine. he scampered up like a tiny lizzard to the back of the load. he quickly hid under boxes. he hoped he wasnt noticed, bright red against the white snow. then, a horrible thought occured to him. "i dont know where enrique is..." he thought. red continued the ride until he was pretty sure he was far into new york, then he rolled out of the truck at the station. his back still hurt from the burn, but the snow was helping a little. "bright red isnt helping..." red thought to himself again as he scampered behind the building. for what seemed to be forever, all red saw where houses, comerical buildings, and schools. he dove under a stray tarp as a man walked by. the man stoped to look at the tarp, and red senced this by the un-herd footsteps. a quick swing of his tail, and the man was down on the ground, knocked out. steve had never done anything like this before, but his new self felt power, and was also scared of people. he swong the long blue tarp around his head and body so people would take him for a child. he started to wonder the streets, looking, from his memory, what he remembered of enrique from the picture he posted long ago at yoshis corner.

Now I knew not to wait any longer. It was time: Do or die. It took everything in my strength to try and get back up on my feet. As I did, be began to realize that it was snowing.
"If I stay here and wait for them to notice me, I'll die of the cold. I have to get someone's attention!"
I admit, I never felt more lucky that I'd brought my bedsheet not. I held it and weakly began to wave it like a flag. I did it with everything I had left. And I didn;t stop, I just kept waving it. It was all there was left to do. Nothing to do but hope. I knew that I didn;t have much longer. All I could do was wave it around and hope someone would spot me.

I suddenly remembered my jumping ability. I could get out of this hole that way. First, I picked up my shovel and my sled, and I jumped as high as I could. With a flutter jump, I was able to throw the shovel and the sled forward, and they landed on the higher snow level. I could see the snow level beyond a very tall wall constructed by piling snow in order to dig my hole. I leaned forward to try to reach the top of the wall.
However, I was unsuccessful. I managed to touch the top and fall back into the depression. I knew that this would happen, since I put most of my effort toward throwing the sled and the shovel. I jumped again, and fluttered again. While I was in midair, I leaned forward again. I got half of my body over the top of the wall.
As I tried to pull myself up, the snow on the top of the wall started to crumble away. I squirmed to get my knees over the wall, and while I did so, a large chunk of the snow wall broke away from the wall. Unfortunately, that chunk was under my right knee; so when the snow chunk broke off, my knee slid down the wall, causing my entire right leg to move. I suddenly had lost my balance. This loss of balance caused me to exert more pressure on my left knee, causing a chunk of snow under it to break off, and my left leg slid down the wall.
I was suddenly on the brink of a cliffhanger... and a decision. "Should I try to pull myself up over this wall... or should I lose my grip, slide to the bottom of this depression, and try again?" I dared myself to try to pull myself up. The pressure I exerted on the snow under my arms was greater than the pressure that was under my knees. Even more snow crumbled away from the wall. I slid down the side of the wall, and landed back in the depression below.
The landing didn't hurt; the constant downfall of snow cushioned me. However, it was annoying because I had worked so hard to get over... only to crumble the snow below and fall again. I tried again to jump out. As I leaned forward this time, I landed on a slope created by the crumbling of the snow. I kept moving my feet forward to try to climb up it. Once I was stable on the slope, I jumped again, and jumped out of the depression.
"Yes! I'm free again!" I rejoiced for a minute. Following my celebration, I tore down all four walls surrounding the depression and filled it with the snow that I tore down. There was still a little bit of an accumulation of snow around where the wall stood, and there was still a minor depression left, but it wasn't as deep as the depression once was.
I took my shovel and shed to the front yard to slide down the hill that existed there. As I was having fun sliding down the hill in my sled, I noticed my dad throwing snow fron the driveway to the front yard. This created a steeper slope, and when I slid down it, I was exhilarated at the rush that the added momentum brought. When Dad was done throwing snow, I told him about my adventure in the field, and then asked him for the time. It was still only 9:40; I was outside for over two hours!
I started to get cold. I went inside and threw my clothes that were covered in snow in the drier. I was exhausted from my endeavor this morning, and decided to take a nap. I would return outside later... I had so much fun... Even when I was frustrated with failing to get out of the depression. I drifted off on the couch downstairs...

red was now very cold. he needed to stop. he couldnt sleep, he had to complete his mission. he stoped and rested his hand on the side of a house. his feet dug into the ground from the snow, and his legs gave way. he bacame numb. "enrique!!!" he shouted. his responce where the echos of the silent new day. he fell to the ground, and panted. he had traveled a long way, but even with rest in between stops he wasnt satisfyed. he was starting to get hungry again too, and the smell somthing delicious was coming from the house inside. red chewed on some snow, and then layed down completely with his eyes closed. he huddled to keep warm, but he was sure he couldnt survive out here. "should i call lumiere..." he thought as he shivered under the tarp.

Now that we had our full rest,we headed out.We headed to an unkown place that is said to have mystical creatures.I asked Kev again:
Ra:"Hey Kev.Are you sure you want to be hanging around with me?What about your parents?" Keven:"I'm your best friend!I will stick by you no matter what!I was also grounded for life....." Ra:"Why" Keven:Setting the house on fire...." Ra:"So that was the smoke!" Keven:"Hey!......*he looks forward* woah!Look over there!" Ra:"Huh?What is it?"
Something then suddenly flies overhead.I didn't get a good look at it.
Ra:"It looked like....(was it really?)...." Keven:"Wow!That was cool!Didn't it look like-" Ra:"Someones coming!"
We then run fast. Then I remember something.
Ra:"Keven!Grab my hand!" Keven:"Huh?Why?....ok!"
He grabs my hand tightly.I then fly off.Somehow I was able to fly, even though I only have one wing!
Ra:"Duh!I forgot all about this!" Keven:"......." Ra:"Now we can get there even faster!"

((Teo has given me permission to control his character a bit, due to the fact that he's unable to post at the moment. Thanks, Teo! Oh, and Leoshi -- you weren't referring to Teo and I, were you? Don't worry, buddy! Help is on the way!)) Yoshiko looked down at the ground from the tall Teo Dragyn. He smiled at the height, then looked down at Jayshi who had already spoken to them. "It's okay, Jay. I'm sure Teo here forgives you, too, but he's just a normal Yoshi like us." As far as normal goes... Ko thought, sighing quietly to himself. "Well, Jayshi, we were planning on looking for somewhere to go, and decided to ask you. Got any ideas?" Ko asked thoughtfully and politely, grinning at the Yoshi below him. All this time, Teo sat quietly listening to Yoshiko and Jayshi, waiting for the moment they could take off. "Hey, Teo, you wouldn't mind carrying another Yoshi, would you?" The Black Yoshi asked, looking at the Dragyn's eyes. He shook his head, and Ko smiled down at Jay again. "Well then, hop on if you'd want to. And tell us now if you've got anywhere to go." He added quickly, making sure everyone was thinking of safe and warm refuge and Yoshiko noted it began to snow. He then motioned to Teo. "All right, buddy, take off!" He said respectfully, and the Dragyn instantly began pulling itself into the air with its massive wings. In this weather, it would be hard to spot something, even like a Dragyn of Teo's caliber. "Hey! What's that waving white thing over there?" Ko asked, motioning to what almost looked like a white flag waving back and forth. "Take us over there, Teo!" Ko commanded as if he were their leader, and the Dragyn complied. Down they flew, to the waving white sheet -- which was -- another Yoshi!? Yoshiko hopped down from Teo as he landed, and ran the last few yards to the Yoshi. "Hey! What're you doing out here in this weather?" He asked frantically, worrying for the sake of his fellow Yoshi. "Come on, come on... You'll die out here if you don't leave soon."

There was mized feeling of releif, surprise, and suspision. One one hand, I was so thankful that I was just found. I may finally have found a way to escape and seek shelter. It was perhaps the best news I had gotten that day...
But at the same time, I was also in wonder. "Who is this?" I thought. "These are Yoshis... are they also transformed like myslef, or are these real... and why have they decided to assist?"
I was greatful, but still a little supisious. Not that many others would help me in a situation like that, let alone Yoshis. But things where so different by that point then ever before, so I probably shouldn't have decided to think much about it then... but I'd get back to it later.
My voice was weaker and shivering due to the cold. "...Thanks." was all I said.
