The Fighting Tournament (sign-ups)

Story: To celebrate the opening of a newly constructed stadium, Ezxero enterprises (the same company that funded construction of the stadium), announced they would be sponsoring an anything-goes fighting tournament to name the world’s best fighter. Tickets to the event sold at a phenomenal rate and contestants came from all around the world to fight for fame, glory, and a mysterious special prize offered up by the eccentric owner of Ezxero.

I've never seen another RP quite like what I'm attempting to do here, so hopefully it all works out and everyone in it has a good time.

Regular RP rules apply:

-No Godmodding/powerplaying (Unauthorized control of somebody elses character)

-Check your spelling and use proper grammar (doesn't have to be perfect, but please make your posts understandable)

-Don't rush things along at an outrageous rate.

-One character per person please (If you absolutely need to have Two or more characters, you need to negotiate it with me first)

I've tried to make this information clear, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

This sounds very interesting and something I would love to be a part of ^^, but I just have one question.

Whenever two human RPers go at a battle on almost every RP I have seen, they will never get a loss in a battle. Now im not saying everyone does this, but it is very common. Here is an example ^^, lets say Guy and Man (very creative names) were fighting.

Ex.
Guy backed away, wiping sweat from his forehead. He had rarely faced a foe this difficult. He cleared his mind of the stress and concentrated on the battle. *blah blah blah, more descriptive detail* Guy jumps forward with his dagger and attempts to stab Man.

*Next Post*

Man swayed to the left. Guy was agile but that would not be enough to get Man down. Man pulled out his Ionic Rifle, which had not been recharged the night beforehand due to Man's trouble with the local law enforcement. *more detail, blah* Man aims quickly, not having enough time to concentrate, and fires his rifle.

They would keep dodging and countering about each post, until another teammate joins in on the fight, or they join sides, or they get into a long chat, etc.

My one question is, How would you counter this perpetual battling?

That's a good question, and honestly something I hadn't really considered. Although I don't think it'll be a problem, here are some ways this sort of incident could be solved.

1. I can just monitor the battles closely to watch out for unfair moves that could lead to perpetual battling.

2. A hit-point system can be enacted

3. If a battle seems to be going on for far too long, The two involved can be told to wrap it up in a certain amount of posts.

Short description of moves: I swing hard and fast with my racquet, hoping for a quick victory due to my lack of stamina. I make up for my complete inability to go on with extreme strength and agility at the beginning of a fight. Usually, I tend to try to stay out of the way after about five minutes of hard fighting.

[Wildfire the Dragon]

Name: Jay Tanoshi
Age: 14
Where you are from: Tokyo, Japan
Short description about your fighting moves: Uses both Wind and Fire Elemental Attacks(Fire's mostly a Breath Attack). Has a heavy one handed sword he calls the "Dragon Fang" when needed. Now he also carries twin pistols to use, but it's only used in dire situations when his sword don't cut it. His fighting style is mostly Martial Arts, but Ninjitsu in the mix(Dash and Wall Climb and Cling).
Short Bio of Yourself: Originally human, he earned his abilities of Wind by a large Dragon. Loves to invent and fix items and weapons when possible. As time went by, he was able to transform into a Dragon using a well made potion, with help of course and gained Fire Breath. Now he usually adventures into different areas, learning new moves, and gaining power to become stronger.

Where you are from: Airway Isle
Short description of fighting moves: He is too weak to wage direct punches and kicks. Instead, he will have come up with more tactical plans, thinking before attacking a foe. In this case, he has no weapons or powers, but can adapt to and use an environment when need be done. His goggles give him the ability to be unaffected by bright lights, smokescreens, and water.
Short Bio: A young yoshi who was separated from his family at birth and used as a slave until he was later freed. Since then, he has possessed a sort of pessimistic view, though he is slowly progressing to getting stronger. His main mode of transport and most treasured item is his Caravel, the SS Majestuosa. He is currently looking for a crew of his own in order to explore.

All those character descriptions are fine, they are only being used as details that will appear in certain parts of this RP. Since it's not a major part of the overall storyline I wouldn't worry about it.

Name: Yoshiken Draconi

Where you are from: Yoshiken was born on the outer limits of the peaceful town of Yoshis Lagoon

Short description of moves: Yoshiken is a master with his katana and the Samurai lifestyle. He is skilled in the way of the martial arts because of this lifestyle. His wings give him the ability to fly, and he has the ability to summon flames from his body.

Short Bio: Yoshiken's parents knew something of Yoshiken and Yoshiken's brother Dante. They had kept a secret from them about their history. Yoshiken and Dante found a hermit in a mountainside that was mentioned in a note they found. He was expecting them or so he stated. The hermit would never give his name, but he was known as the "Weapon Master," being able to use any weapon efficiently. This is where he learned of the Katana and the Samurai lifestyle. He trained for years, until his parents were kidnapped during Yoshken's youth. He is now on a life quest to find them once again.

Where you are from: Xenerex (in anoher universe)

Short description of moves: Twi uses mainly his scythe and dark magic. He is slower than many other though not sluggishly slow, but can hit extremely hard. He can leap very high and does so to avoid attack and his claw can be used as defence in certain situations. Dark powers include a beam attack, a seal attack and others of this sort.

Short Bio: Twi was created over 6000 years ago in a small world known as Xenerex (Zen-er-ex) in a project called "The Twilight Project". He escaped along with the 6 other creations and ruled the land of Xenerex for 6000 years before they and Xenerex was wiped out in a massive war known as the War Apocolypse. Twi escaped and is now realising a few things about life on Earth after making aquaintences with Garral Yulong.

Where I Am From: Not really sure, a cave in the mountains. Current residence is Hikari Forest.
Fighting Style: I fight using two broadswords, in a modified version of the style called the Korugi Twin Blade. I also make use of various magical spells, though, what I can use varies wildly, and I don't feel like writing what causes them to vary here. I also employ various Seals, as well as rarely fighting unarmed; thanks to an object I was given, I can throw flaming punches. I also make use of a polearm; a halberd.
Short Bio: I've wandered for most of my life, until I met the people I've come to love as family in Hikari Forest. I also made friends with several individuals, one of which, Jay, is translating this document and sending it in for me alongside his, as I don't know how to write in anything except Draconic. I am currently friends with two people I am sure will enter, Jay Tanoshi and Twi, and several who may.

Moves: Basic physical moves with punching, kicking, and an inclined aggression for tackling. To compensate for his severe lack of strong moves, he is quite agile.
Bio: A young, science-fascinated yoshi who is constantly researching weather in the form of climatology. He is generally relaxed due to his hobbies that doesn't involve much physical strain, but does offer much mental challenge. Unlike other people his age, he is not ambitious on exploring unknown areas or fighting. Because he does not usually fight, Enrique lacks weapons and/or magic to fight. However, he is rather agile, but his agility doesn't translate well to his average running speed.

Short description of moves: Uses a scythe, Mainly relies on speed more than outright power, hoping to get in a series of fast strikes before the opponent knows whats going on. Should it be knocked out of his hands, he can draw it back to him through "negative space" and it will reappear at his hand in a few seconds. This space is also where his gear is saved when not using it. In theory, he could take an opponents weapon and hide in this space, although an attack would probably break his concentration and cause Moot to drop it.

Short Bio: ... Don't really have one of these yet, either Once I actually get more details on this Mootiverse thing then I'll have a bio. For serious. (Although technically he has a way of ressurecting himself should someone off him in a fight. Part of the whole Mootiverse backstory thing, see <_>)

Just an update here, I am not sure exactly when this RP will start. I still have a few things to finish up for the RP before it starts and next week is somewhat busy for me (Tuesday=holiday, Wednesday=work, Thursday=work again) So expect this to start either tomorrow or more likely Friday.

Also, it seems we have 9 people signed up. I would prefer if we had 10 or some other even number so a bracket can be made that includes everybody. If not, I have a backup plan all ready to go.

Short description of moves: Narcissus mainly relies on his ability, Mechanical Summon. This allows him to summon just about any Mechanical device. He mainly sticks to small stuf such as swords guns, etc...

Short Bio: Narcissus is the sole survivor of his village. The others were were killed in a mass murder. Narcissus survived because his mother hid him. He has entered this tournament in the hopes of finding the monster who killed his friends and family.

Carries a total of three knifes. Prefers using quick deadly killing strokes but can defend well if necessary. Also won the hand to hand combat champion award. Also able to fly.
