Lava whipped out his Keyblade of the stars, the Yosh Spirit, from his satchel. Gothpuff calmly revealed her stake. They awaited the shady figures coming at them to make the first move.

The clock struck midnight, and everyone looked even more worried. I guess that it was the whole "dark forces" superstition. I am practically unarmed, as I don't fight much; thus, I don't have any weapons. All that I can do is brace myself for an attack that I do not even believe will exist. I could only watch and wait...

I pulled out my katana and lorina pulled out her long bow out and put an arrow in her hand. "looks like trouble is coming" I chuckled. "question is,what is it",said Lorina. I looked at Leo' waiting to see if he would give a signle and we waited.

I noticed the others where waiting for a course of action. Though I knew it would be best to see what these shadowy enemies' intentions where. My question was soon answered. I saw them as nothing more then other figures hiding their identity's within black cloaks that concealed them completely. They looked almost like an army. I knew one thing for sure, it was this book they where after.
I watched as the apparently leading figure ran ahead of the others and shot a sphere of dark energy. I merely dodged to the right as let it collide into a wall somewhere behind us. I didn't say anything, though it had become more then clear that we had to defend ourselves against them. It was time for an attack.

Lava: Right, let's see if this guy likes long-range spells.
Lava then used Fira Breath to spit a big fireball at the shady figure.
Gothpuff: This person will suffer.
Gothpuff used Static Stake to electrify her stake and throw it at the figure.

"this is it!!" I shouted, then, I summoned my elemental wings, next I flied into the sky and said, "pure gold of the skies"
Suddenly, a white yoshi, with angel wings, and a staff apeared and shoot a light beam, wich strike in the middle of the army....

I tried my best to step away from the battle, as I am not, in any stretch of the imagination, a very good fighter. However, I knew that there was no way for me to escape now; I had to defend myself from the enemy attacks. As I watched the others fight the "dark soldiers," I backed away behind the rest of the group, and set myself up as an emergency attacker, in case the others were ineffective.

"Looks like I should use ninjitsu for now."
I sheeted my swords and thew a couple of kunai knives and made hand signs.
"Horse, Tiger! Fire style: Fire ball jutsu!"
I big flame came from my mouth hitting a few of the shadowy figures.

A massive flaming sphere dropped from the sky onto a number of the attackers. Yoshiken landed and elicited his Katana from its sheathe after charging his fire attack that startled everyone.
"sorry for being late, so what did I miss?" Yoshiken said with a smirk on his face.
He stepped forward, entrusting his Katana to win the physical battle, and his courage to win the inner one.

L.D. started throwing tornados out and lorina fired arrows into the crowd. "Why do I see that this seems to have no effect" I yelled. "Dunno"

Gar chuckled, claws erupting in light-blue flame, the flame of Light.. "Okay, then, guys, looks like the baddies are here all ready...let's make this quick!" throwing both claws forward, a clear barrier began to cover him, "Defend from the physical, and magical harm! Field Barrier!!" similar barriers formed around his allies, shielding them somewhat from harm, he backed up, batting away a dark sphere that came his way with the flame on his claws.

OOC: I'm finally posting!! Yay...I guess.
Yes, I had received an invitation, and yes, I accidentaly showed up late. I was going to arrive just walking when I saw an army of figures which shocked me at first, but after seeing how they were group, it settled me quite well.
Seeing as no-one noticed me yet, I started the basic yoshi-move of the explosives eggs, and soon five were trailing behind me like puppies. Ya gotta love that, you really gotta love that, I thought to myself. I ran around the clashing forces to the back of the army (a rather looong walk) where to my suprise, I saw a portal constantly feeding the army with re-inforcements. Oh well duh... that's why battles with evil last so long! I started behind it, now being able to see shifting air in front of me instead of what the portal looked like from the front. I picked up one of my little explosives and tossed it at the presumed portal, and the egg seemed to stop in mid-air, tossing and turning every way as the re-inforcements slowed. One figure turned around, "Shoooooooot..." I said trying madly to toss my other eggs at the portal. Soon, five eggs were dancing in mid air as they seemed to slowly vanish, and the air was soon normal in front of me. Now all that's left is what was in front of me...
Seeing I was outnumbered 97:1 and having no one to back me up, it would take me more than my capabilities to stop 97 balls of dark energy if I took flight. Flight would make me a target, let's run, shall we? And I did just that, I left the battle... FAST!!

The fighting had become intense. The enemies seemed to be growing strong every second. It would seem like two would replace one fallen it battle. All the while, I did everything to hide the book. Sure, it meant I could not attack but at least the enemy didn't know where it was yet.
"There are too many." I said. "We need get to the source of these evil things and cut it off. Then, this battle shouldn't take too long."

I heard the "leader" of the group, Leoshi, the person who I needed to help, call for the location of the source of the evil demonic creature things. "I'm on it, dude!" Unfortunately, the demons surrounded me as I was running to the projected source. I determined this projection by a straight line connecting the crowd and the highest concentration of the demonic creatures. However, the creatures were trying to attack me while I was running to where I thought they were coming from. The only thing I could do was run right at them and tackle them. However, as I went to tackle them, they jumped out of the way. The good thing was that I could see where these things were coming from.
I noticed a portal through an empty area. Out of this portal were the highest concentration of the demonic creatures within the radius of 150 feet away from me and the group. They seemed to flow out of the portal as water would flow out of a drinking fountain. I tried to call for the attention of the others. "Hey, I think I found where these things are coming out of! I need help blocking the source off!"

I turned around as I was running, the portal was still running, the eggs hadn't done it!! I remember the air returning to normal though... that portal was gone, confirmed. There had to be a second he was talking about...
I took to behind a building and turned into a dragon completely, for doing only wings would put a huge drain on my heart, and flew up to the very top of the building, turning back into a yoshi, but not for long. I saw the second portal at the base of the building, and began the explosive-egg technique again, slowly letting them drop one by one into the portal. Problem was, they went IN it. Only one thing I thought I could do... and I hopped that it wouldn't be a big mistake.
Eyes turning yellow again, I felt power flow through me and leaned my head over the edge of the skyscraper and shot a yellow and red meteor down at the portal, but not quite at it, more or less to the side of it. The meteor hurled down, my aim true, and the portal was shut off by a flamming meteor, still parcially on fire, clogging the portal for any future newcomers. Now there were the current soldiers to handle...
From up here, I didn't think I could get hit, so I dropped explosive eggs down watching them pop like small party-crackers. The army was shrinking, no doubt about that, and it was all thanks to the team down there. I had to join them, after all, they may need me. Who knows? Taking in a breath, I leaped off the edge, letting myself fall to the ground far below...
Many yards before I hit the ground, I slowed my fall with a flutter... yoshi moves were incredibly useful in these situations. I nabbed a nearby soldier/shade/caped person and tugged off their hood, and an unusual figure popped up that I couldn't describe. Quickly, I ate it, giving a big gulp as it made its was down, but I was left with its cloak. There were only a few shades left now, this Leoshi must have fought down a lot of them!! I put the cloak on for no apparent reason and stood there, watching...

A single flaming egg pierced the night sky above everyone else. It exploded on a few of the soldiers' backs, knocking them from the sky. "Hey, all. I seem to have missed the introduction." I stated, running up behind the blue Yoshi I knew was Leoshi. "Hey, isn't that book useful or something?" I asked. I was keeping an eye out for the black soldiers out of the corner of an eye. Just for good measure, I knocked a few more back from a light blue Yoshi in a cap that seemed to be looking for something.

As I stood 100 feet away from the portal, a giant meteor seemed crash down on the area in front of the portal. This caused me to be lunged backwards away from the portal, but thankfully, the production of the demonic creatures stopped. I got back on my feet, and ran back toward the crowd that was fighting the demonic creatures; there were still a few that persisted to hover around me, no matter how fast I ran.
I had to get rid of these creatures; they were seriously annoying me now. All I could do was jump on them. This did not fully defeat the creatures, but it did free me from their hovering over me, and gave the opportunity for someone to defeat them, since I wasn't capable due to lack of attacking abilities.

"Man...they still need help?" I said to myself, clutching on to one of the figures by...what seemed to be a leg and tried to bring him down, but its lift was too great. I did what I did with the other and ate it, suprisingly not feeling full, but still having that feeling that I had swallowed something my size. "Only a few dozen more..." I said to myself again, now looking at a small group and stretching claws, which weren't too taxing, and slashed through them not drawing blood, "Good, I hate having to feel blood..." The deed was almost done...

Gar tensed himself up, then launched into the bulk of the fray, claws slashing and taking, tail flailing dangerously, sending demons flying to the left of him, and falling in pools of their own dark blood to the right of him, he let out a quick roar, perhaps out of the rush of the moment, and kept slashing and charging, scattering the weaker ones like leaves in the wind, plowing his way through to Teo and Enrique, before reaching them, and whirling to stand next to them, claws dripping with dark blood, "So... Whaddya say we go for it, eh?" with that he grabbed Enrique under one arm, beckoned to Teo with the other, and then darted back into the fray, still only using one claw, but decimating demons left and right, a green-and-white whirlwind of screamy bloody pain.

I was now heading into the heat of the fight and chopping off these shades with my vorpal katana, Lorina was knocked out eariler by a sneaky shade. Though she head a huge cut and her emerald blood was pouring out,she regaind concience a few moments later and was attempting to heal her own wounds. I noticed the shade's army was getting smaller and remebered two people of the group mentioned about portals and that they got rid of said portals. "I thinks about time we wrapped this up",I said as I was decimating more shades with the others.
