Everyone was pulling up different objects and requesting help. I didn't know who to go to... I walked over to Jay, leaving Champ to help Enrique lift the plane's tail. "That isn't... no way." I couldn't believe it. Everyone really was dead. I cleared off some of the dirt, so at least Teh's body was recognizable. I heard a small voice coming from somewhere beneath the rock. " If anyone is there..." "Hey, Jay, did you hear that?" New hope came from within me as I scrambled over to where the voice had come from. "Maybe there's someone in there!" I dug frantically at the rocks, praying that at least someone besides Tempest had survived the bombing. "Huh? Yeah I heard it!" Before Jay began, Gar came in telling Yoshee to let him do it alone. "Glad you can help." Jay went and picked up Teh's body and set it softly far enough where it can't get more damaged. He went back to the area where Gar was digging and decided to help out. He got to his knees and slowly dug. 'Hang on...'

All seemed to fall into a stunned silence as the air around stilled, laying flat against nature's cradle. Contention's eyes flickered, like a dying wicker. Burning bright before crawling to the tip, letting loose the smoke to lighten the burden of purity. With a red glare, each lens echoed gently against the stone value; emitting but a portion of view into the twisted scene. From above, noises began to patter around the casing, revolving slowly inside of his ears. Such felt like the only step holding him on the edge of mere 'wake. With a few blinks, his sockets spread; giving off a small "crick" and "crack". The bones tightened, squeezing with a tight impression against his face. As if they were opening without thought, being parted beyond ones personal control. Each movement felt riggid, out of proportion and to the side of normality. Soon, his head began to sprawl with slow paced movement, turning and turning; dazing into the wonder which peeked from corners deep.
Each noise only quickened and deepened in its texture, slaming like a fist into the chamber in which Contention dwelt. Like that of lightening on a dreary eve, or the rain which beats upon the metal tin roof. By force they drained upon his thoughts, nailing like a hammer into the unfinished timbers. With a slish to a slash, they followed in rhythm, mocking at each exit of freedom as they sang from walls so far. His perception began to lust for something foreign, a sight of another. For something of such rang in the distance, an unfamiliar tone yet still so very dear. It was that sign for which each being had hunted for before. That guide to lead to the end where the roads do cross; such had finally reached out, lending its battered hand into the mixture of the haze.
Without thought, Contention mustered his muscles in a tight illusion; stringing them with that of fierce proportion upon the sides. It was but enough to let out another peep, short but delievered or so thought, "All is still fine, or so thought," his words rose in mention to the wondered question from above.
Hazed, yet concious, his motions began to replay; squirming like that of a unrooted worm from it's carriage. His tail swirled in circles, throwing harm in either direction. If one was to be behind, why they might find themselves soon flat against the soils in no time. At the same moment, his hands began to utter in phrases unknown to his mind. Expanding and cluching against his sides, feeling for spots of mute emotion; yet nothing seemed to ache. The only hinderance was the confiment of the ceiling from his head down to the floor.
"Hope really knows how to open the spirit doesn't it," He gimmicked in a pleasured giggle, talking quietly to himself as the sands around began to run in directions near and far.

Trying to remove the tail of the plane from the scene, Enrique heard the news that another staff member, Teh Yoshi, was found, and was found dead. The news was another crushing blow to his emotions as he tried to pick up the community from this tragedy. He wore down a little bit on lifting the tail end of the plane that crashed into the building until Champ came to assist him in lifting the large piece of aerial construction. Even with Champ's help, he knew that he was going to need more help in moving this section of the plane. "I'm going to need more help here, guys..."
Enrique peeked under the bit of space that he could manage to relieve; all he could see was an abyss of darkness; it was absolutely no help to him to find anything. Waiting for more assistance to arrive, he observed the other members of the community struggle to pick up the pieces of the now-shattered Yoshi's Corner. Even Enrique had difficulty dealing with the emotion pain of losing staff members to the tragedy. It could have been real easy to go drill sergeant and demand maximum effort from everybody, but he could feel their pain as well as his own, and couldn't find the courage to start demanding from everyone.

I couldn't help being slightly offended by Gar's offer, but I stepped out of the way anyways. My fingers were raw and sore. Even though I'm pretty much the only girl here doesn't mean I can't do anything... I pouted. "Wait, I think that big rock's got him stuck." I motioned towards a relatively large shard of concrete. There was something moving the concrete under us, but I couldnt' tell what it was. My brow still creased in a slight frown, not quite enough to show complete emotion. I wanted to help as much as I could...

"Yoshiken, so glad you're here." replied Twi. "I found this gun, but it's not real. There is something inside it but it's too tough to open. Also these bullets have a strange blue substance in it, i was wondering if you could help identify it for me. I'll try and open the gun." Twi handed Yoshiken the bullets and showed him one inside. "What do you think it is?"

Yoshiken was amazed at what was shown to him. "Fake bullets? blue substance? this brings up so many questions on why these would be here, but they are probably one of the best clues we have so far." Yoshiken took a closer look at the blue substance, "very mysterious indeed, by the physical appearance, it looks more volatile than other liquids. I know, you could help me perform some experiments to check the chemical components of this liquid. If we are able to identify that, then we could see what kind of danger we are in and how to stop it."
Yoshiken gently poured the liquid into a beaker. "now there are many ways to find out the contents, we could find its density, check its solubility, conductivity, concentration, Molarity, etc. etc. First, we need to seperate all this into as many test tubes as we can so that we can always have something to compare too"
Yoshiken quickly seperated the strange substance into many tubes. "now....lets get started"

Twi stared blankly at Yoshiken as he said scientific mumbo jumbo very fast. Twi hadn't the faintest clue what on earth he was on about but he simply nodded and agreed. He put the gun down on a nearby table and truned to the test tubes. "So what are the possibilities it could be. The only blue substance i know is copper sulphate which i made to try and make something to drink....don't ask...i was in hospital for weeks... If it's explosive what could it be? Dynomate would've exploded by now right?"
He turned around to look at some of the equipment around. "Erm...Yoshiken....the gun's gone..." He stared at the blank space of the table in disbelief "How did someone get in?"

Yoshiken quickly turned quickly, "The Guns gone!!? how! that gun was one of the best clues we have! every gun has a very small label usually inscribed on it telling the company who made it, smart criminals will attempt to cut off the carved label but there is an acid with a small molarity that can reveal what was said be the engraving of the label."
Yoshiken paused, "Oops, forgive me for digressing, we need to find that gun! but we also need to stay here and make sure the rest of the clues arent stolen. Would you do me a favor and try to chase after and find whoever took that gun! its very! very! important! Ill stay here and try to see what this blue liquid is."

"Gotcha..." Twi ran out the room, his eyes were glowing brighter than usual. He scanned the ground for any clues. The dust was scuffed showing he ran to the east. Twi chased that way but nothing was found. He was standing at the edge of yoshi's corner looking out towards the landscape around him. If anywhere, he had run here. What was so important about that weapon? Twi continued to run, no knowing where he was going.

Post by Tempest on Apr 23, 2006 1:43:55 GMT -5
Tempest's Tetra Gavel slammed into the ground, creating a ring of electricity that pulsated outwards. The deviant Yoshies that were spraying graffiti spam all over the Art Gallery dropped their spraycans immediately. Tempest's eyes flashed with rage.
"You think the death of the staff members that have kept this place alive will give you an excuse to desecrate it?! You're wrong. You messed with the wrong Moderator." Tempest's eyes flashed again, and the two yoshies were thrown into a tornado that sent them spiraling out of the community. Outside of the gallery, Tempest spotted another problem. A bot, lurking against the streets. Tempest gritted his teeth and leapt into the air, taking flight. He descended upon the bot swiftly with no mercy, slamming the Tetra Gavel into the bot, splintering it into a million pieces and sparks.
"ANYONE ELSE WANT TO TRY AND CAUSE PROBLEMS TODAY?" Tempest roared. Silence filled the streets. Satisfied, Tempest dissapeared in a cloud of sulfiric acid cloud, returning to the destroyed Staff Lounge.
"Any new discoveries?" Tempest muttered monotonously.

((OOC: I'd have posted sooner but other things get in the way...))
Up to this point British hadn't really got involved in the rescue attempts, mainly because he thought that some new guy that nobody had seen beforewandering around the place in a long jacket and dark glasses looked awfully suspicious. Not to mention he was already carrying his own loaded weapon with him...
Still though, staying in his own area he made some progress in removing some of the rubble but as yet didn't find and clues, or bodies, or anything really of any significance. The only things that did turn up in his search seemed to be files, or other miscellanous paperwork. Most of it was too badly burned to be legible, but from what British could tell the area he was stood in could have been one of the main offices of the Staff Complex, or at least an important part of the building.
About to give up on this area, British quickly changed his mind once he caught wind of a smell emanating from what was left of the assumed office. He didn't have high hopes of anyone being alive under there, but it wasn't like he could take the chance if someone was down there awaiting rescue... but that eventuality wasn't likely considering the scale of the destruction.

(Okay, screw it. I'll just drag them back!!)
Sick of waiting for the other two to come to a conclusion, Strangie decided to take action himself. "Alright, come on, you two. We ain't got time to screw around here, we got to get back to the Corner." Without waiting for a response, he took them both by the wrist and dragged them out of the hotel.
After managing to get a taxi to the airport, he looked around quickly and scanned the area. He made a quick estimate of the distance between here and the planes taking off... too far, about 3 football fields away. He'd have to get in closer, but...
He walked inside, and noticed a flight was about to take off towards the Yoshi's Corner area. "Okay, you guys are going to think I'm crazy, but just work with me here. On the count of three, run with me. One.... twothree GO!" He took off with them into the airport, blasting past everyone inside. He definitely took PFY and Lazo for a joyride when he jumped past security and started heading towards the runways, security forces chasing them down.
"Just a bit more... aaaand hang on!" he called out as he jumped into the air, concentrating on a spot in the airplane that's about to take off, and suddenly, he and his two companions disappear into thin air, as if they just stepped into a portal right in front of them, leaving the security totally puzzled at their disappearance.
An instant later, the three find themselves thrown into the cargo area of the plane. Strangie hits the floor.
"Gah!... I still need to work on my landing..." he said, lying on the ground. "Oh well... that tired me out... mmm... wake me up when we get there..." He crawled inside of a box in the luggage area and rested, not bothering to wait for a reply.
(Okay, yeah, I know. Don't hit me XD I had to get this over with one way or another, though. >_> I have a bad feeling this RP is going to fall apart, though. D: )

(You could be right about that, Strangie. ) I was getting anxious. Everything seemed to be moving in slow-motion. Champ was straining to help Enrique, and all I could do was watch as Gar and Jayshi took over my work. "I can still help, at least." I mumbled. I saw what could be blocking the person trapped under there from moving, so I wedged myself between the two big rocks laying beside me and attempted to kick them apart by straitening myself out. "Quick, try to pull whoever's down there out! I don't think I can hold this for long..." My strength wasn't weakening, but I wanted to be able to still keep working later, and I didn't want to be completely exhausted.

(Alright, after a bit of re-reading and re-thinking, I'm just going to start now)
Aaaahh... so good to finally be heading home. Teo was on a lounge chair, taking a cruise ship to Yoshi's Island. He had gotten lucky at a raffle, and happened to have won a first class passage to Yoshi's Island. They probably thought that I was on vacation from elsewhere and wanted to get me to visit yoshi's island more in the future... or just to attract publicity... they can do whatever they want, this two-way ticket is about to get split in half until I change my mind. Teo took a sip of a mysterious drink that was being served, and sat back on the chair, a visor over his head to block the sun, daydreaming. Yum... pineapple and vanilla does go together. I hope yoshi's don't get brainfreeze... or sunburns... I forgot to put cream on. And on that note, he decided to take a walk to a spot shaded by cabins, smoke stacks, Or whatever the heck they are.... He went to the front of the boat, past the crowd of people refreshing themselves at the pool, and spotted yoshi's island in the distance. Lesse... it's almost four, and the front of the boat is shaded, so the front of the boat is pointing away from the sun. It's four, so the sun should be behind us, setting in the west, meaning I'm heading East. Oh I should bring a compass, I would have never guessed I went West for my trip. Bah, going home now... can't wait to see everyone again, Teo thought, moving his thoughts about the trip he'd seen, what could have happened, how lucky he was that this cruise was not granted... and dosed off looking at the island.
Soon the boat arrived, and he couldn't help but notice a lot of commotion. Everyone seemed to be mumbling in suspicion. Did I partly transform into something else again? But when Teo examined himself, he was full Yoshi, the simple cyan color reflecting the light. If I was totally white, I would most likely be the thing people look -least- at on a sunny day. As Teo walked down the streets, viewing the town again, he couldn't help but slowly notice what the people are talking about...
"Hey, did you hear? A helicopter flew down and knocked over a skycraper!" Someone said. The other person talking to them responded, "A helicopter?? You've got it wrong, it was a plane, and it was just some warehouse." Someone else came in, "No!! The kebabs are taking over the world, I saw them march in single file in the Corner building and blow it up!!" That one's drunk, but what's this business about a building... it must have been important... or disasterous. Finally, as he walked by an electronic shop with the TV's on display, one was playing a news channel. The headline... [glow=red,2,300]"TERRORIST PLANE HITS YOSHI'S CORNER BUILDING!!"[/glow] The news spokespeople came on, "Just this morning, a 747 jet crashed into the Yoshi's Corner building, located on Yoshi's Island. The results were disasterous, injuring many people, and leaving the streets crawling with bots and spam. Word is, a surviving moderator is tearing the heck out of every spammer there is... with a giant blue hammer." Tempest... "Several yoshi's are attempting to uncover several of the bodies, of which several have been found..." A picture of bodies being carried away, one blue with angelic wings, and nearby, a sobbing red yoshi with blonde hair, a blue headband, and dragon like wings. Anjil... Yoshiken... Another scene of several yoshi's frantically digging came up, including a very large Gar... Gar? Yoshee? Enrique? Shoot, I've got to help, pronto!!
Teo dashed out of town, almost at full sprint but not entirely. The building, or rather its remains, were just farther off from the city, he thought he could get there rather fast without alerting the whole population with a large... presence.
