Well, I, and what looks like other members of this forum have been receiving spam mail. It's just members of this forum too, and a few other people who I don't recognise their email addresses from. I've had 2 or three in the past week.
Who's been receiving these mails? I don't know about some people here, but I don't appreciate being added to mailing lists I don't wan't to belong to.
I am 21. I do not want to goto neopets. Please remove me from your mailing list, and anyone else who requests it in this thread.
The email address in my profile is only for urgent mails, and I often await important information since I now run a hosting service. I get a tad angry when I see spam coming into that inbox.
Anyone else been receiving it, and have a clue about where it's coming from?

If it's from here, then I'm not getting any. Only the urbandictionary word of the day and occasional military.com news.

Actually, I've worked it out, or at least I think I have, and it's a member on here. Obviously, they don't know they're doing is something that could be annoying people, so I'll be leinient.
yosivictor2005. Could you please leave my email address out of your mailing lists, and not sign my email address up to receive things from places you've visited.
Toshi has also been receiving these emails too, so could you please leave his address out too.
If anyone else has been receiving them, post letting him know who to leave out.
I'll get a list together of who he has emailed from here.

This is what happens when you set your board profile to display your email address to anyone who opens it. I've warned people about this before, although the thread "died" long ago...
I use email forwarders, which means I'll never get spam. let's say I have "whatever @ 2yr . net" as my email address. Whatever arrives there will be automatically sent to my true email address, because "whatever @ 2yr . net" is just a forwarder address. So if it is found by a spammer/annoying person then all I have to do is get a new forwarder, say, "anything @ 2yr . net", and set it to point to my true account. No spam for me, for life ;D
PinkFloyd, you already have a forwarder @ 2yr . net. Why not use it?

PinkFloyd, you already have a forwarder @ 2yr . net. Why not use it? I try to split mail I had from one place into different folders. MSN would forward mail from all email addresses and place them into different folders. I don't use forwarders for the mail addresses used on spyro24uk.com and pinknetwerk.com since the spam assasin software on my service is configured to automatically destroy anything which get's over 5.0 points when the content is matched against a mail content scanner. If the mail contains the word 'Mortgage', it will automatically give it 2 points for it. If it contains partial HTML, it'll give it 3.2 points. Thats how it works. If the only content is an HTML SRC link to an image, it'll give it 5.3 points right off the bat. Never once has it not filtered spam. Still, if it manages to get past Spam Assasin, it's got to get through my MSN Premium spam filter. A little more lax, but does look for more detail. Bah, I'm ranting yet again. I feel the need to write huge paragraphs in every post I write. I'll get to that PM shall I soul? heh

Yeah but spam filters aren't perfect. Forwarders instead, are in a way, perfect ;D
