I know we all haven't actually role-played around here in months, but I felt that I might be able to whet your guys' appetites. :<
Anyhow, the Stardust Gate is a gate of legends, said to open only during a biennial meteor shower, which is known to spawn an aura over the area. And even then, it's only open for six days. Nobody's sure what come out of the gate, as no one who's gone up has come back. The Gate lies on the tallest mountain in the mountain range to the north.
Anyhow, the shower's coming up again. One young Yoshi, known to be more than a little eccentric, attempted to pull together a search party a few days ago... He's missing. The nearby town's detective force speculates that he went up into the mountains by himself since no one else would help.
They want to go out and look for him, just to be sure he's not dead. Unfortunately, they have to stay and guard the town, as it lies right on the border of Koopa territory.
The only rule is to respect others, m'kay? That includes no god-modding or controlling other players. Please don't.
The only thing I really need to know is your character's name, and a short explanation of your character's reason to cooperate with the authorities. You can explain your appearance during the RP if you want.
So...
Name: Yoshee
Explanation: She's a newcomer to the town, and isn't really familiar with anyone yet. She pretty much wants to make herself look good by going out and bringing back a missing neighbor, and maybe have the opportunity to meet new people.

Meteor shower? Koopas? A lot of magic stuff? Sounds like an RP to me!

Summary : 'bit of a traveler, and never stays in one place too long. Who knows? He might settle down someday, but for now, he's been in the town for a fortnight, started a job and is paying rent. His neighbors often hear him mumbling, "Why does a ... have ... work... GRAAAH! Better get used to it." Judging by Teo's mumblings, he hasn't worked a day in his life... or has he?

Ive been thirsting for some good ol' RPing lately ^^, so I shall definitely join you.
Name: Yoshiken Draconi
Explanation: Yoshiken was in the nearby region, purchasing supplies for a significant journey he was embarking on. However, In the plaza, he overheard a conversation of a strange phenomenon in the east that has left authorities powerless and exploited. He heard of meteor showers, a strange gate, and disappearances. Knowing that he has given an oath to his own honor, Yoshiken decides that it is a moral duty to recover any missing individuals, while at the same time giving a hand to the authorities to figure this mystery out.
At the moment, Yoshiken is making his way towards the town, with only about a mile to go.

Explination: A traveleling mercenary. Goes to places he's never been before, staying a few days. Solving or causing trouble for the town folk. He hates to be in one place for too long.

Reason of Presence: Drurziek lives in the town near the gate, so he is accustomed to the biennial meteor shower event. He has known for his entire life about the disappearances associated with the gate. He wasn't chosen to be a part of the town's defense forces; in fact, he wouldn't even be anyway near the idea of finding this particular Yoshi if it weren't for the 625,000 gold reward that the town promised him if he had returned with the Yoshi alive.

Explanation: He's on a ship, traveling the oceans when he hears the news about this new adventure, and decides to see what the situation is in the town. He's usually stoic, but can simultaneously be friendly as well. He's currently running low on supplies, and needs to find a place to stop temporarily.

Name: Nathaniel.
Symmary: If you see a person who wears ninja clothing, carries a sword with magic capabilities, and is a very sneaky thief, you will know it is this man. Nathaniel is not often seen robbing camps near town, but many of those camps don't have night watches. He came recently, hearing about the gate, although the reason is unknown.

I havnt rped on here in ages, so I sign up. Info for me Name Kara she is more of a wild yoshi who comes to town now and then to feed of any food people leave laying about. She is very shy and would see all the people forming a party and figures if people go food goes so she follows them to try and get food. She really doesn't speak much or understand words that great but she isn't as dumb as she seems  |
