~Dawn of Darkness RP~

I entered the smith's shop and asked him how much I could buy with the money I had. I ended up having a bow almost my size, with a strap to hold it on my back. I didn't have any arrows, so I'd probably have to use rocks and such. When I left, I decided to test it. I picked up a long twig and launched it on my bow. It worked pretty well, but not perfect. I was going to try a rock next, when I Buu floating towards me. She went into the sun and had a worried look on her face. "Hey ShyGuy," Buu started, "He's here!"

I twisted my head sideways. "Who's here?" I asked asked. She turned back just in time to see a goomba wearing a red headband and sunglasses enter the village. "I saw him out the window." She told me. "He's my father's rival. You see, my father likes to build towns and cities like this. But Hitchargo, that goomba over there, likes to destroy them. You have to help me stop him."

"I have no family." Liko said. Red stopped twirling the grilled vegetable on his plate, a pit of remorse for Liko growing in his stomach. "My mother and father died in a terrible accident when I was young." Red looked at her and realized she was crying. He reached his hand over the table to stroke her tears away. "I live with foster parents here. They don't really care about me. They're Koopas." Red felt like hugging Liko, but knew she would probably feel awkward with his arms around her. "You can come with us" offered red, a tinge of over enthusiasm in his voice. Liko's eyes lit up. "You really mean it?" she asked. Red nodding quickly, and she giggled happily.

I looked over at Hitchargo again. "So you think he's going to destroy this village?" I asked. Buu nodded. It seemed strange. A little guy like that destorying places? That can't be possible. But I still decided to keep an eye on him. "What do you want me to do? Go up to him and punch him in the face?" She rolled here eyes. "No, but I do want to follow him around. You know, to see what he- OW!" Buu fell to the ground. She had forgot that she was in the sun. I picked Buu up and took her under a large tree. She was knocked out. "Oh no..." I muttered to myself. I looked up and Hitchargo was gone.

Red paid for the meal. "I guess you better gather your things." He said as he blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "We're nomads, so only bring the necessities-" Liko cut red off, grabbing his arm and pulling him along quickly to her house. She bounded, excited to be on adventures, red being dragged behind like a rag doll across the streets.

Red panted as they reached her house. She was about to walk inside the door ajar when she quickly spun around, and threw herself along with red into a nearby bush. "Its him" she whispered in a tiny whisper. "Who?" asked red, feeling silly hiding in this bush after he and Shyguy defeated a powerful impostor of the King Koopa. "Hitchargo. . ." she muttered. "Who is he? Why is he at your house?" "Shhh!" Liko clasped her hand across red's mouth as the door opened and a tiny goomba appeared. Liko whispered silently into red's ear: "He wants to destroy this town. Theres rumors of large towns being destroyed by him. No one knows how he does it! Don't take your eyes off of him." Red watched intently, then noticed Hitcargo was whispering something to Liko's foster parents.

The Koopas followed him out the door, as if they were in a trance. He took his eyes off of Hitcargo for one second, and then noticed a gasp from Liko. Instantly, red drew his sword, closed his eyes, and thought invisible. A rush of wind and red was transparent. He spun around to see Hitcargo taking off his glasses to look into Liko's eyes. Hypnotism. . . red thought. Dirty trick. He's fast too. I have some dirty tricks of my own. He quickly spun and slashed at Hitcargo with his sword. A screech was heard and sparks flew. A small boulder where Hitcargo was just a few seconds ago. He spun to see Hitcargo a few feet away, looking around confusedly for the attacker. Wow. . .good hearing too. He then turned to Liko. She was unconscious, but not in a trance. He then turned to Hitcargo angrily, but he wasn't there. Gone. Red sheathed his sword disgustedly as wind blew his color back. He knelt beside Liko and lifted her into his arms.

I went to go look for Hitchargo while holding Buu. She wasn't as heavy when asleep. I turned a corner into an alley and came out into the forest. I went back the way I came and ended up inside the forest still. I went into the alley again. Then came into the town. That was weird I thought. Then I looked around. The town! It was burned. Everything burned. The grass, the houses, the trees! I walked along. There was nobody in sight until I saw Red. He had the same sword even. But something was different, he had no skin. Only bones. It's like his skin melted. I was scared as he walked toward me. Slowly, like a zombie. Reaching out to get me.

I turned and ran away. I ran so fast that I only saw blur. Next thing I saw was a big wooden post, and crashed right into it. Bam! When I awoke, I saw the sky. I sat up to see the town. It was perfectly normal. I turned around and saw the alley. It was like I had never went in. Then I noticed Hitchargo run behind a corner quickly, putting something away in his pocket with one foot. I chased after him.

Red brought Liko to the hotel and laid her on the bed in his room while she recovered. He knew she would be safe here. He almost kissed her on the cheek, and blushed in embarrassment as he thought about doing so. He hastily left the room, shutting the door as silent as it could shut.

Red jolted down the stairs. He ran quickly to the clothing shop. He quickly spotted and found the darkest cloak and sash they had. He paid the clothier quickly, and thanked him. He quickly spun and dressed himself in the camouflage. He then ran to the tanner, and brought a black leather trousers.

Finally, Red burst from the store, and began his stealthy search for Hitchargo. Red's new attire made him difficult to see in the afternoon shadows. He eventually found Shy Guy, but followed behind without making any appearance to himself.

"Where is that guy?" I whispered to myself. I started to hear Buu grunt so I set her on the grass. She awoke with me standing right by her. "What happened?" She said softly. I shook my head slowly. "Hitchargo got away. I'm trying to find hi- HEY!" Buu had pulled the front of my cloak down. "WE HAVE TO FIND HIM NOW!" She shouted, stinging my ears. "Wha-what's so bad about a little goomba anyway? Can't we just step on him and get it over with?" Buu jumped up. "You don't understand-" "I do understand! You want me to kill a guy just because he's your dad's rival!" Buu slapped me across the face. It was silent for a moment. "You don't understand..." She started softly." You don't know the things he's done." She had said something else but I couldn't hear it. "We'll keep searching, but we should go buy you a hat so you can be out in the sun." "Okay." She muttered.

Red quickly darted away, sorry he listened in on the conversation. He bolted into shadows. Any goomba red ran by now looked like Hitchargo. He was so confused and he almost doubted that there actually was a Hitchargo. He would have if he hadn't overheard Shy Guy and Buu's conversation.

Red finally saw Hitchargo - headed straight into the Inn. He smiled. Great, he's walking into a building. No where to run now little guy. . . Red darted to the Inn, giving Hitchargo a little leeway so he wouldn't change his mind about checking a room for the night.

Buu and I went to the store to buy a garden hat. After, we looked around town more for Hitchargo. With no luck, we headed back toward our inn rooms because it was getting dark soon.

Red sliently followed Hitchargo. He noticed he was going to the room where Liko was sleeping. What does he want with her?? Red thought angrilly. He quickly sidestepped Hitchargo as he paused at the open door, and hid behind the bed where Liko slept. He waited for Hirchargo's footsteps silently, and grabbed Liko's hand.

I went inside the inn to look for Hitchargo. But then I saw mini hotdogs and muffins and went to eat some. They tasted pretty good, probably since I was still hungry. Buu stepped up to me. "Will you stop consuming food so we can find him?" She asked, angrily. I finished the last of the muffin and followed her to the front desk. "Hey, did you see a small goomba with a red headband enter the inn?" She asked. The keeper narrowed his eyes at her. "Why do you wish to know?" "Where from the island goverment." I said trying to sound tough. Buu slapped me in the back of the head and whispered, "This island doesn't have a goverment!" I gave her a bored look. "Just trust me." I said.

Later, we were thrown out of the inn.

(Cool o,o. He looks sick!)

A clash of metal was heard as soon as red thought he felt a tug from the opposite side of Liko. He brought his sword down on another rock about the size of a Goomba. The room was silent. The door was closed. Hitchargo didn't leave yet, and then, just for a split second too short, red thought of the possibilities. Hitchargo was behind him. Too late. Red was knocked unconscious by another rock slamming against the back side of his soft head. He was tied up and locked in the closet. Just then, Liko awoke to face the eyes of Hitchargo. She couldn't remember what happened, but this looked a little too familiar. She instantly shut her eyes tight.

Glass shattered as red's wyvern slammed through the window, perching on the bed post. Puffs of pearly white smoke swirled from her nostrils, her eyes red with rage. She was about to pounce on Hitchargo, but the Goomba was too fast. He fled through the glass shards, Lumiere swiftly swooping after him. Liko still had her eyes clenched tightly. She whimpered softly.

I heard the noises from inside the inn. "Must be Hitchargo!" Buu gasped. I went back into the the inn, and the keeper started to run after me. "I thought I kicked you out!" he yelled. I kept running with Buu behind me, and started looking inside the rooms for Hitchargo.

Liko got out of bed, shaking and confused. She had never seen a dragon like that before. She wanted to know where she was, and she wanted to know where Red was too. She thought she saw Shy Guy run past the door with a Boo, but she was too shy herself to say anything. She went over to the shattered window and looked outside. Darkening skies covered the lands. She sighed as some sort of peace enveloped her. She didn't know red was tied up on a hook in the closet next to her. In the closet, red began to sweat.

I reached the back of the hall. "That's all the rooms, which one could the sound be coming from?" I asked. Buu shook her head. "Well I didn't see anything on the left side." I sighed. "Well- Hey, I was checking the left side. You were supposed to be looking in the right side." Buu turned angry. " I was looking at the left side first though, so... Wait who cares lets just go!" We ran down looking through the right side doors. "Hey!" I stopped when I saw glass on the floor through the door window. Buu opened it to stare at broken glass on the floor. She looked around until she saw Liko standing there. "Liko, long time no see." Buu said.

(If you don't want them to know each other, it's alright with me. I'll change it.)

"Hi Buu, yes, I haven't seen you in a long time! Shy Guy, have you seen red around?" After looking out the window, Liko knew where she was. But even after scanning the town her search for Red.Yoshi was fruitless. "I wonder how the Inn-keeper is going to deal with the glass. . ." she sighed. "I have no money."

"No." I sighed. "I thought he would be with you." Then I heard footsteps coming down the hall. I looked out and saw the inn keeper looking inside rooms with a bat. "He's probably looking for us because we broke in." Buu startled me. I didn't see her next to me. I came back into the room, and locked the door. "Was Hitchargo here?" I asked Liko.

Liko pointed quickly at the window. "I woke with him over me, trying to kidnap me I think. A Wyvern smashed through that window there and out he went. The Wyvern followed after him. I was too scared to move." She responded in a rushed whisper. By now red had come to. He could barely move or make a sound so he started banging around in the closet.

A Wyvern, I thought, must be Red's. Suddenly I heard the banging inside the closet. Buu ran over to the closet, unlocked it, and opened it.

Red swayed back and forth. His mouth, arms, and legs were all tied up. He looked out wistfully at the group outside in the room. He began to sway faster. "Red!" Liko almost shouted with excitement and worry as she ran and began yanking him out of the closet.
