Waaagh, typical I'd get Mr Tempest to draw for!  Anyhows, here is my secret santa gift for the blue blur himself - I tried a different approach to my usual boring shading and drawing, this time watercolouring the entire piece! It was only afterwards I realized I made a huge faux pas...I'm really sorry I got your tail wrong, Tempest! I only caught on after I was 90% done, and as much as I tried to correct it, it was so difficult as it was all coloured on one layer...I hope you don't mind having a normal Yoshi tail for xmas! : ( The story is, him being the 'weatherman' (harhar ;P) it is his xmas duty to hop from cloud to cloud with his Tetra Gavel, bashing out all the snow he can... Whoa, that's so wicked looking! I bet Ian would spazz out over this picture! Really nicely done! ^^ Very awesome how this is a complete value-only drawing. 'Tis some unique stuff right there.
And personally, I liked how you made the tail like that. Makes the whole thing look a lot cuter.

Yes, I detect an oncoming hernia from Tempest when he gets on, heh. ^^;
I like the lack of outlines -- it gives a very distinct, real-media looking style.

WOW.  This picture, there are no words! It's so colorful and cheerful, and I don't mind at all that he has a normal tail! Like they asid, it makes the whole thing so much cuter. Wowwwwww - I LOVE THAT TETRA GAVEL. And the pink clouds and blue mountains make it look like.. I dunno, I can't explain it. Just like.. a happy fantasy land thats very .. wintery. Thanks for all the comments guys! A vision? Hmm...not entirely, but I was influenced a fair portion by a level in the game Spyro: Year of the Dragon...its called Cloud Spires, if anyone knows of it. I think that level is particularly pleasing with the colours in the sky and such, so I used it as a heavy reference for this colour scheme. That, and I'm just a sucker for pastels, pink & purples, heheh. ;P |

Wooohoho. Gorgeous workzzay as usual. With Now... like iftz turned everything into pillowstyled marzipan =DD. Tempest lookzzies as the thundergod Tor dependin that he also weared that hammer to shoot the lightningzzis with but in a yoshis body instead. Hmm, but, ho would those goatzzies ho pulled Tors sledge stand 4 instead actually XD?
But how did ya do that? Ma'm, ya know. I completey adore how yárr so extremely good 2 draw with any perspectives anglezzis which exist. (Well, completely straightzzay from below haven't i seen yet, but that wouldn't b any challenge, would it XD?) It's so totally cleane drawed with susha' sloped angle from above. i really like it.
