YC Chat - All week long or one-time a week?

I think daily -- mostly because it gives users a more specific time to look forward to, and because I think the chat might have more people in it, then.

All week long. Some people might not get to the chatroom on the one day that the weekly chat would be (here it's Saturday). Besides, it would be fun to have it up all the time.

Okay when you mean weekly, you're saying once a week right? Daily means once everyday. <_< So I vote daily, because if people miss the Saturday one they have to wait another week. Like I did. ~_~

Oh yeah, I'm looking into the possibility of changing it from an AIM chat to something that everyone can use. DA chatroom, perhaps?

I'd think IRC or an AIM room would be the way to go... although the IRC thing probably won't work out because PFY is still messing with his IRC box

Same. I'm not able to go into the dA chatroom either, for whatever reason. It just never loads up. Not everyone has a dA anyway. I don't think someone would start a dA account just to use one of its chatrooms.

As for when we have it, I don't really care. The weekly thing kinda gives me something to look forward to by the end of the week. And the daily thing gives us the freedom of going whenever. But with daily, there'll probably be a lot less people, since there's always school, homework, and such on the weekdays.

So, uh, I don't know.

Ach, looks like daily is winning... Eh, all I can say is that I find doing it daily to be a really bad idea.

I'd rather use AIM than dA. I think I know LESS people with dA than AIM, actually.

Oh yeah, I'm getting a dedicated server at some point to permanently host the IRC server, so that'll be sorted.

What browsers do people use? Almost everyone should have Java, and if so, will be able to connect to an IRC server, and if thats the case, I'll download a Java IRC client and point it to another IRC server somewhere. Yoshilore has a chatroom on whitewinged-angel, so I'll point it to there.

And yeah, if the dA Chatroom is the preferred one, I'm in there all the time. :S

I thought I already voted... Hm, strange... anyway, I vote for daily, I guess. AIM's better for me, as opposed to DA, but it really doesn't matter.
