I say, I've completely lost my mind!!! [Editor's Note: Yeah... how about no. What he REALLY meant to say was "Dear sir, it would in your best interest to halt your petty meandering and locate your missing mind post haste, for one finds it difficult to live without one."]

The last thing we need are posts that can incite flamewars :-\
I'd have already edited out the offending material, but apparently I can't edit other peoples posts.

Well yes, I suppose as humans we do have the power to think. Also if you look at it from another angle, the mind can go through illusions and put things together to become dreams. Like stated, with knoweldge we are able to take things and put them together. We can make something so small turn out to be so very big. With the ability to begin new things, unlike all other species, we can continue to move onwards and onwards. Because of this we are far more powerful than any other species in the world. It's "Survival Of the Fittest", and while we may not know what other species are "thinking", we do know that they are incapable of putting it to use to keep them alive. Or... are they? It has been noted that to adept, species that are able to "survive" and not undergo Natural Selection (that is if you believe in those things) will become one with their new enviroment. In doing so they will take the things around them and put them in use so they may stabalize this every changing barren land.
Now on the subject of the human mind being a great power, one must also not forget that in utter truth the ability to think also leads to the ability to destroy. Now, while other species may live a "predator and prey" life, we do not. On the contrary, we have learned how to hunt lesser animals and gain organisms from the earth for consumption. Yet, the mind has also given us the ability to the most cruel of any creatures. We know that if we make a blade sharp enough, and send it down at lightning speeds that it will cut off your head. We will throw you in confinment for hundreds of years, with the thought that it will change you for you are. We have the ability to plan how we are going to cause something to explode and decide what weapon would work best in this situation. With the mind, we become jealous, envious, lustful and "sinful" (once again if you go for those things) With pure knowledge mankind is a twisted creation because he can bite at the very world around him.
Logic is a corrupt thing from time to time, it may solve all the harsh things and continue life along. But at times one must think with the heart and not with the mind. Thinking plainly with the mind leads to a downfall. Never forget, the mind is the pinpoint of: Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, Pride, Wrath, Vanity, and Envy. (Yet keep in mind these are human nature, one reason I go against them as Sins. Merely because, you can't help being envious at times. You can't help being proud from time to time. At times you'll lust for certain things, and you can't help it. Even still, because we have the ability to be affected by these we begin to darken our very hearts. Logic can unbalance the heart. With a heart and a mind, you can go far because you can create your own equilibrium)
You've seen what having a mind full of knowledge can make one do. Look at your wars, look at the shape that the world continues to move in. Constantly falling while we keep trying to take steps on a broken staircase. It's only broken because our feet are so heavy that we crush every lasting stone. We can't succeed when we keep trying to rid the world of every issue and make sense out of everything. Some things are just the way they are, because thats just how they are.
