I was wondering if there was a way to document the language that Yoshis use. Thus, I am starting a project to understand this language as it could be very interesting. If anyone has any information such as lexicon or grammar of this language (as I do not know any of it) or know of a resource of this, I would like to know.

I'm not sure if that really exists, but have a talk with some people that might know about it. For me, I never knew yoshi language actually exits.  |

Are you sure it's not English, as used in Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi?

NO... I mean a sort of language that Yoshis speak amongst themselves. It's probably not in any game...just spoken behind the scenes or something.

As far as i know, it doesnt exist. I believe it does have to do with shouting "Yoshi" all the time in certain lengths and pitches, but apart from that, i believe it doesnt exist.

Hehe, well like i said, i wouldnt know for sure if it existed, but if it did, i guess thats my theory of what it would be like, considering Yoshi's only shout out "Yoshi" and other phrases like "Yahoo" or "Yippiddippiyahoo"...ok i have no idea what i typed there! XD

Again, if everyone has any ideas of sounds, words (as their meaning in English), grammatical ideas, or anything of that nature, just post it and I could compile something to resemble such a language.

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't really think it's much of a language at all, or it's extremely incomplete. All they say is "Yoshi!" and other various adorable sounds, but if they had a complete language with grammatical rules and syntaxes, then there would come more knowledge, and with more knowledge comes a decrease of happiness (that still does not mean Yoshis are highly intelligent). As we know it, Yoshis know simple emotions, but for the most part, they are naturally happy if left in their natural state. So I'm thinking it all makes sense that they don't really have a language of their own, and explains their innocence in their natural state. Well, even though I don't exactly agree with a complete Yoshi language, but for those who are interested in developing one or anything similar, check this site out: www.zompist.com/kit.html and tell me if you've come up with something, heh. Really interesting stuff. |

yoshis language are stupid i think. he allweys say *yoshi* all the time. like boooooooooooring ^^ and it dosn't exist

There's no -official- Yoshi language. I made one up for my Fan Fiction story though, but it's completely off the top of my head.

I tried my luck at creating a language but it wasn't a Yoshi language.
But I think it could be possible to document their language if it does exist.
