What does the Pokémon Espeon more closely resemble?A fox?Or a Cat?I've been having this debate with numerous people, you see... they're steadfast that Espeon shares far more resemblance to a Fox than a Cat.... and I'm rather certain that this is definitely far more catlike... they justify it by saying Eevee looked more like a Fox... even yet, still, not really. What think you strange people?

I'm only saying a fox because Eevee was supposed to be a dog. Honestly, I'd say Espeon looks a bit more like a cat. I love random stuff like this that doesn't really matter, but still strikes up curiosity.LEVEL UP ! ! Thanks again for the siggy.o.o[/size]

Wow, I use to be a fox and I never even thought about this. I always saw Eevee as a dog, so I just assumed the same of all of eevee's evolutions. So really, I thought neither. The only thing that even looks fox-like about Espeon to me is those huge ears. I know there is a species of fox which has ears similar to that, but I cannot thing of the name of the species at the moment.
So in closing, I definitely see Espeon as being more catlike. I will ask my friend when he gets in tomorrow, since he is a big pokemon freak and see what his opinion on the subject is.

I think Espeon definately looks more cat-like, now that I think about it. I mean.. those big, cat-like ears (although, yeah, foxes also have big ears that are all cute), the lack of a really defined snout that a fox would have, and, particularly, the tail. Foxes seem to have more poofy ones from what I know of, and I don't believe they're capable of being held up so high like Espeon usually has it (like i nthe reference picture), whereas a cat's tail can be held up high like that fairly easily for a cat. Then again, I don't know much about foxes - especially on anatomy and what they can do with their tails. >.>;

I would say a cat, cause of the way it's body moves. Garuru. I think you were talking 'bout the Fennec fox, I think how it's spelt. Sorry it's so big

Yeah, that is what I was talking about Narcissus. I knew it started with an F, but I just kept thinking Phoenix fox for some reason XD

It seems as everyone as else has said to be more cat shaped; and as Pawy mentioned the most of that goes right into the ears. Yet as said, it's hard to really define this diffrent because it is so similar to Garuru's example of the Fennec Fox. You could implant many diffrent sayings into this phrase, that of course which might be circled on the fact that this creature has the "head" shape of a fennec fox, the body of a cat, and the tail of a cat. However, since there are no real indications on this species, it leaves out a lot for the mind. This could be a debate Graedius that you might just be stuck on unless you were to talk to the creator himself to figure out the meaning. Yet, you are likely right in feeling it's a cat, since felines themselves are far more mainstream then the Fox in it's own variable. That could be hard to differ from though since the popularity of the phylum they thrive in has grown in time, no creature is really kept out of the spotlight anymore. One major factor is that the two are seperated by a very thin class line, and that alone isn't enough to make recognition of this Pokemon with the true status of a real life, breathing feature on any of these animals.
The class or order which partakes in the feline is extremly balanced with that of the canine; one reason why even in our world today both are that of natural pets. They work in nearly similar fashions, yet everything is differed to make it it's own creation; this is not a foreign symbol for either. Breaking down in the species of Cats to House Owned Cats, these are more agile to their surroundings, however their weight could not come to compare with that of the Pokemon above. Usually, a home bred feline is far more lunky then what that picture seems to prove. That picture comes off for some reason as more of a Siamese cat; since it's thin and well smoothed. This doesn't mean to much though really, besides the body of Espeon is more neutral in the sense of the feline exterior then the canine exterior. Besides, it seems that Espeon has been given that "dainty" kind of look to her or well it. Most cats of today are usually stereotyped for being, "Possesive", "Needy", and "Dainty"; as in that they are more reacted in feeling as the gems of royalty. For some reason, Espeon gives that flair more than she does with that of a fox.
As well there, likely if this was going to be potrayed as a fox, it's tail would be far more "Puffy" then it happens to be in Espeon. This creatures tail is long and smooth, without any fluffs coming out, and the same goes for the whole body in general. A fox would at least be given some refrence with a tail that would fluff at the tip and have a very elongated body width. Since this part of the pokemon is left off, you are likely far more correct in your anaylsis of it being tied to a cat.

Espeon looks like a cat more than a fox. Although maybe the designers wanted to make a combination of a cat and a fox, although it's highly doubtful.

I say a cat, mostly because of its body and leg structure. And its muzzle looks too short for a fox.

It's an Espeon, what else?
Which one has smaller paws? Espeon seems to lack actual paws... And all Poke'mon has big ears, it seems.

Easy there Blanko-Neenyo. You don't want to over extend yourself, if you know what I mean. I think that you do.
Looks like cat, especially like a cat that's been shot by our paintball guns.
