I actually don't know what to choose for myself if I could only have one and just not the other.
I still miss the old skool SNES voice he had, and I wish they could bring it back and have Yoshi blurt that every now and then along with the modern vocals.
But I also do like his high pitched voice, especially in Mario Tennis. The way he jumps and goes "*Chuckles* Wahayoo!" Hopefully you lot know which vox clip I'm talking about when he makes that cute little chuckle sound. And also, when he goes "bom!" every time he serves the ball.
I have been noticing that in his appearances on the Wii and some of GameCube, his voice is starting to change yet again. I wasn't too fond of that victory noise "wadlddldldahoooo!" cheer. It's kind of too corny even for me. And on Mario Party 8, his taunts are nothing but "awwww" and "Koo koo-koooo" which doesn't sound very Yoshi to me.
I guess I'll have to go for his new voice for the most part as I'm now growing much more accustomed to it, but I'll never forget the first sounds he used to make.

I like the newer voice, simply because it makes him more human, you know? The old sound isn't bad, but to me it's almost degrading. In a way, I do wish they'd get newer sound-bytes for him. The ones he has right now are classic, but I am slowly starting to tire of them. Haven't heard the ones from MP8, though.

I, too, prefer the newer voice. While the old sound was great, and was perfect for him, it would've been tougher to make said sound more modern as time went on. Giving him vocals was what he needed. Plus, it's really cute, and makes him incredibly memorable.

I actually like the old vocals better. Especially in Mario Golf, where I'd sit and make Yoshee whistle every time my siblings hit it into the bunker, hahaha. He sounds more like a dinosaur. Which is one of the reasons I love Yoshi so much.

Clearly the old voice is superior because of Mario kart 64, I find that voice hilariously awesome.

This is a heck of a tough one to choose... I liked both voices a lot, the new one makes him sound cuter, while the older one makes him sound more cooler, so it's a hard choice...
... I think I'll have to choose his new voice. Just because I really don't imagine Yoshi using the old voice that much these days.

Yoshi's voice in MP8 is as cute as can be, so I'm choosing his newer voice over his old voice. XD

The new voice is how people remember Yoshi now today. The high, pitchy vocals that our beloved dino rambles is what you hear in all the games and doesn't seem to be changing.

Wow. I'd have to go with Yoshi Stories' voice. It fit since the Yoshi's were babies and not very...adult like? I absolutely adored the game.

I think the newer high pitched vocals are cuter, and more expreseve than the older ones.

I liked the old ones, but definitely not as much as the newer higher pitched ones. They're way cuter. LEVEL UP ! !

After Playing Mario Strikers Charged I can safely say I hate Yoshi's new voice. In that game.
Hopefully that was a oneoff, though, because everyone sounded strange in that game.

At first, I thought I was just hearing things when I heard his voice in Strikers Charged. I wish I was right. D: I'm hoping it's a one-time thing, too.
I like the old voice because of the nostalgic values, and because it was so unique. I mean, how in the world would you mimic that sound in real life? XD

Personally.........well, to say this, I think all of them are fine, yeah, even the Mario Strikers Charged one, though, I don't think that'll be his new one from now on.
Well, heh, to make it simple and to the point: I just don't care which one is better since they all sound fine to me (the ones in the games, not the cartoon).

It hasn't been in the ruleset in ages about posting in dated threads. You can post in any thread no matter how old as long as you bring value to it. This prevents stunted variety of topics as well as repeated threads. Anything to get the ball rolling again is always nice.
