A debate I had with my mom and sister.
In my complete honest opinion, females can't sing. It just doesn't make me want to listen. All girls sing the same, can't tell the difference with most female singers on the radio. I can tell by the type of music, but thats the only part that singles it out. And the lyrics to songs girls sing are never good. Never, Never heard a song sang by a girl with good lyrics.
Guys I think sing better and have a variety of voices. Like I can tell who is singing what song on the radio. I mean, some guys have a higher pitched voice, a lower voice, raspy-ish voice, deep voice, or some other type. Girls just have that high pitched voice and when they do go low pitched, it's always that shakey sound that I hate.
Yeah.

Oooh, a toughie. I hardly like sung music at all- and songs that I do like are either sung by guys or girls. It would end up being either "neither" or "both", really. I'll get back to you on that when I figure out which.

Both? As in a duet?
Regardless, being in the dance music scene for as long as I can really remember, I must go for female vocals. They can be extremely flexible, sounding from cheesy to epic, even with the same voice and also depending on the music. It just generally fits more with whatever you're trying to experiment with.

I choose male vocals. Almost all of my favorite artists are male vocalists, because all of them have their own singing style. Like Cove Reber of Saosin because of his strong, high-ranged singing voice. And Josh Turner because of his deep, low bass singing voice. And of course myself, because of my wide range and yet powerful singing voice. XD

Well I like Heavy Metal and the majority are male singers, not too many female singers around. Unless you listen to Arch Enemy. It's all that "RRRRRRRRGRHRGHRGHRGHRGHR" *guitar* kinda music but the singer is female (doesn't sound like it).
But it proper vocals I don't mind really, though a lot of females in this pop music kinda stuff all sounds exactly the same.

Most of the music I listen to nowadays have male singers, and some pretty awesome ones at that, so yeah, that. But female singers are good too.

I'm going for male because the voice better suits the kinda music I listen to. And some English female singers voices are so irritating I get annoyed listening to them. Natasha Bedingfield being the main culpret, as well as someone who covered a song that was less than a year old.

In my general opinion, most female singers are absolutely terrible. A certain few are alright, but none that I would consider having an extensive collection of.

As far as my CD collection goes, a lot of the backing vocalists are female, but very rarely sing lead.
