So which infuriates you most, guys?
Medusa Heads, with their tendency to knock you down onto spikes/stone you?
Ninja Drones, who just LOVE to bee-line to Tribals and kill them?
Those Blackface Bats from Mega Man, who love to run into you face first and then fly back up all smuglike?
Bumpties in Yoshi's Island were really annoying, even if they couldn't hurt you.
What about those random Starly encounters early in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl?
Or even any others? The ones I hate most have to be those damned Medusa Heads, to be honest.
Oh and you can't vote for anything from Ninja Gaiden. That game isn't a game. That's a torture device.

Medusa Heads. Although I found Fuzzy's of all sorts to be a blast from Paper Mario.

Medusa Heads, hands down. Especially the golden ones from Rondo of Blood onward. Stupid petrification.
Also, Murlocs from World of Warcraft.

Talkese/firekese/icekese, skultulas, deku bulbs when you're trying to climb vines.
Basically every form of ganado/priest/regenerator you encouter in Resident Evil 4, because they exist.
And don't forget the level 200+ wireframes in SSBM in that one challenge. I tried -forever- to unlock Koopa and Perin, but alas it eluded me.
I couldn't just pick one.

Just those basic enemies from the Contra Series. I swear, they all swarm at you from both sides of the screen, and you're tryin to concentrate on only one guy shooting at you, but no! Even though they're one shot kills, they're the most annoying enemies out there!

I guess the Bumpties, though they don't annoy me that much.
Bidoofs annoy me more than Starlies, however. D:

Other: I vote these two jerks which are Notorious Monsters that have to be killed for a piece of the Dragoon Artifact Armor in Final Fantasy XI. I died four times to those shades in a party with a White Mage 55, Dark Knight 74 and Red Mage 75. It became much easier when I added two Black Mages level 75, a White Mage level 75, and a Monk level 75 to my party. Overkill, {{Yes, please.}}

Riverside from Star Ocean: The Second Story. Despite being the weakest enemies capable of eating your characters, they are also very fast.

Pilot, you're going to feel like a real idiot, and maybe you should. To unlock "Koopa" and "Purin" you switch the language to Japanese. Koopa is Bowser's Japanese name, Purin is Jigglypuff's Japanese name. Man, you got pranked.

^ Thank goodness after I visited multiple cheat sites I found out it was a fake early on. It was somewhat obvious when several of my resources listed unlockable characters ranging from the original koopa and goomba (what they called Purin) to Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails. But I must say, I didn't know about the Japanese name switch. XD
...my record of 15 wireframes will live on!

This thing: This thing right here. "This fighter-bomber is armed with heavy air missiles and heavy surface bombs. It is the supreme aircraft with paramount power, mobility and defense. Hunters are the ultimate death machine. Fear them."That is all that needs to be said.

Not long ago, I would have readily said Medusa heads. Their ceaseless presence, their sheer number, their little sine-wave patterns that so often evade your whip while knocking you off of a ledge... Verily, I would have argued against any claim of a fundamentally more annoying enemy.
But I have since played La Mulana.
The bats in that game have brought me more grief than any other enemy. Even the Medusa heads could never have induced in me a madness of such a level as clutching my head, chanting "BATSBATSBATSBATS" over and over. It's puzzling how these simple little enemies can be so annoying, but their unpredictable flight, their tenacious, random dodging, and the fact that they're such a common enemy in the game, from start to finish... I'm afraid the Medusa heads will never hold the same regard in my eyes. They have been dethroned by the bats of La Mulana.

OMG.
The moths from Parasite Eve 2. When they collide with you, they cause Darkness, and you can't auto aim until it wears off.
Save me... please... I'm so scared of those annoying yet colorful Neo-Mitochondria Creatures...

This is a Strider from Half Life 2 and its sequels. The black parts of its legs that are meant to impale you are around 8-12 feet high, and the cannon on it will either fire rapid bursts that can mow you down in seconds without finding cover, or one large energy beam that can kill you instantly. Only rockets and the 'Strider Busters' introduced in HL2: Episode 2 can destroy them, and considering the fact that you can only carry one Strider Buster and the rocket launcher only carries three rockets when a Strider only dies from 5-9 rocket hits. In the final battle of Episode 2, you had to fight a lot of these things, and protect a missile silo at the same time. They were all accompanied by the weaker-but-deadlier 'Mini-Striders' that come in packs of 2-5. If you own those games, you might know how scary it can be to finish Episode 2. I couldn't stop singing 'Stupid****ingStrider,Stupid****ingStrider' at the top of my lungs over and over for the whole two hours(well, it felt like it) I've played through that nightmare on the Hard difficulty setting. I've had bad dreams afterwords for a week, all of them about Striders.

Anyone ever play Jaws: Unleashed?
Dolphins.
Freakin' dolphins.
Why are such a small pittiful mammal fish so annoying to the biggest Great White?
1. They travel in pods. About 12 in one pod. And they all attack you. Sharks don't even attack you once you destroy the machienes annoying all the sharks in the area. The dolphins just keep on attacking!
2. They are in every part of the ocean. So they are everywhere. Ev-er-y-where.
3. They only take little bites out of you at a time, then swim away once I turn to attack. By then they are gone, but a new group swarms in, they swarm out, and the other ones come back untill I am dead from either inguries or hunger since they keep on swimming away!
4. They are dolphins. That are killing a shark 5 times their size.
What.

The leeches in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. They scare the crap out of me and then they just don't go away. And you die.
But Bidoofs grind my nerves even more than leeches. So I pick Bidoof and Bibarel!

Medusa Heads. The bane of any Castlevania fan. Especially the ones that turn you to stone and knock you off the platform, making you fall all the way to the bottom of the tower or knock you off into spikes.

I find it hilarious that no one bothered to actually vote on the enemies actually listed, when I tried to list the games that I thought most YC members played.
This poll turned out to be a waste, huh.
