What's your favorite part of drawing a picture?
This was tough, but I would say colouring. No duh, this is coming from someone with a very colour diverse character, but the colours make the picture. Choosing what colours blend nicley together to get the perfect tone and seeing the different colours popping out is my favorite part of my art once it is completed.
Of course, I always mess up the colouring, but that's only because I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to the colour.

Such a difficult choice! I sketch all the time, but I so do enjoy coloring and drawing backgrounds... I'll have to go with backgrounds, I suppose- there's always so many new things to try in backgrounds, including trying to fit a character into one, hahaha.

I voted for sketching. That's the only thing I'm very good at. Well, I can color, too. But I always get frustrated with it. I just wish I was better at shading...

Gah, so haard.. It was really tough picking between sketching and colouring, but I'm going to head with sketching. I usually wind up liking my sketches more than the coloured final. >_>;;

Hmm... I do enjoy sketching... the loose feel of it all, and the fact that the scribbly sketches generally look better than the finished result... I can't draw a decent outline to save my life, and I generally find the coloring process to be rather tedious...
..but I think I'll have to go with background. I guess it's a sort of escapism to me, coming up with calm or elaborate places I'd rather be...

Aren't coloring, detailing, and shading the same thing?
But I chose shading. The coloring/detailing/shading stuff's always been the most fun I've had. Stylizing shading has always had a special air to it - it's always sort of been something I've really liked doing. Beyond that, sketching's pretty magical.
Outlining and backgrounds just make me feel sad, though. Tedious stuff doesn't make me too happyyyy.

I've always liked detailing, but my issue (as well as I've heard is many other people's issue as well =P) is GETTING TO the detailing. I usually lose motivation after the main sketch, and I can't seem to ever return to the same pic, thus I rarely, if ever, get to that yummy stage of adding details. If I'm rushing to "finish" a pic, I skip that part completely and just outline and color a bland piccy. -_-; Details are the things that attract me to other people's pics as well. Though sketching is my second fav part for the reasons Fifth mentioned... =)

As odd as this may sound, whether it be producing a song, painting, sculpting, or making a simple doodle, I never truly enjoyed the process of creating art, but just keep on striving to see the finished product. Not really the best mindset, I'm sure, but I guess it only explains why I make anything so infrequently.
I'll tell you now that my -least- disliked part of drawing has to be the outlining. That's probably the biggest leap from some weird nebulous sketchy image only the original artist's mind can think of into something more plausible to the common eye. Oftentimes I can just stop myself right there and be pleased with just the outline alone, although a side order of coloring and shading can definitely go a long way.

'Never really been a fan of sketching... that's my weak point.
After month after month on a graphical chat site called Avataur, I learned how to perfect my shading style. At first, all my "poses" (the 300 x 300 pixel art displayed, hence the "graphical" portion of the chat) were rejected from lack of basic shading. Eventually I picked up my pace. Now whenever I start shading, I get strangely excited. To me it's a symbol of conclusion, the coup de grace of the pic. Adding light and depth to a picture via shading and highlighting not only impresses the viewer, but at the same time it gives you a sense of pride. It's the sole difference between flat cartoons and realism. Even then, you can change a basic cartoon and with the proper shading, make it appear like something in real life.
Details and shading are technically the same. Shading is adding depth, details are to assist relatively the same process. Both can go hand in hand with each other.

My art skills are very limited, but sketching out Maps and stuff is what I CAN do...
