That must have been a shocking experience... having your dad going to the hospital, a lightning bolt screaming down on you... ouch.
You're lucky you were on styrofoam... brrrr... I hate the stuff, but it seems it can save your life.
But look at the bright side... now you have something to tell everyone! "I survived a lightning storm! Bring it on, mother nature!!"

I hope you're okay, Plebanshiren. That's just scary =<
Lucky they're only first-degree burns. I saw this one kid at a hospital who had to wear a plastic sheet because he had accidentally caught on fire. He was pretty little, too.
Lucky about the styrofoam, too. Go styrofoam! Haha. Are you going to wear it on the bottom of your feet wherever you go, now?

Wow, what an experience! Yeah, good thing that the styrofoam was there.
Ya know, my mom always tells me to turn my computer off during a thunderstorm, most of the time, I don't listen to her. I'll listen to her now, after reading this. Your experience sounds very scary.

There's rarely thunderstorms in my area... only Earthquakes...
Haven't felt anything serious... except the one a few days ago where everything in the house wobbled like a centimeter.
No storms where I am...
