I lost the battle to get rid of my viruses on my computer...138 in all, not one could be erased. It only seemed to affect MSN most, so thats out of the window now, im not using it until i get my computer fixed up. On the bright side, AIM is back online for me, and is NOT infected, so please, add me to that if you are one of my MSN contacts (or if you at least have it).
ok...im too upset now to say anymore, farewell all you MSN contacts.

...Like hurricanes this year as well (but that's another story)
I agree with Frog. You might as well format the hard drive. 138 VIRUSES! No single anti-virus program could delete them all.

138 viruses? No anti-virus could get rid of a single one? What anti-virus program do you have?

500 VIRUSES?! How did it manage to function with 500 viruses?
Oh, and formatting a hard drive isn't all that difficult. You boot the computer without Windows, and type "format" in the prompt.

That's the same with my old computer! It had 100 viruses, a broken sound card, broken CD reader, a dent in the CPU, and it would barely turn on! XD (This is my VERY old one, it was thrown out about 3 years ago.)

Well, if you couldn't turn the thing on, you obviously couldn't scan it for viruses without another hard drive to boot off of to scan the other hard drive.
I just chucked an old computer this year (it was a 1988 IBM PS/2 thingy) that had IBM DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.0 (which, by the way, is the closest I've come to a virus ever), not because of viruses, but because the floppy drive was shot and that was the only way external data could be transfered.

Eep, again, when I'm not here something happens... >>
I'd say get all youri mportant files off and reformat it -- I've done it several times now, and it works just fine -- no huge-cost-per-hour technician who'll just tell you that you'll need to do it anyways, heh.
I need your AIM. ; ;
...On that note, I got my newer PC, so I'm hooking it up tomorrow morning -- hopefully by then I'll be back online. I was also sick recently, so... that's where I was.

Hmm...well, all i have to say is, even though the computer is crawling with viruses and is running slower than usual (although it isnt THAT slow), they are not doing any serious damage to anything on it, only to MSN, so in a way, i can live with that, so i can surf the net, play games, do work and chat on AIM without the worry of the computer being...well...dead, basically, its just MSN thats showing that i have viruses. So yeah...err...but i will get it sorted ASAP.
Yeah, i'll remind you again, if you want to contact me on AIM, my screen name is "Rockin Toshi"...because i miss you guys on MSN -_-
