Does this board even have a warning system? If it does, we could start using that to punish anyone who has a huge sig.

Proboards did put in a warning system (not exactly sure of how it works though...) With a feature upgrade. Staff members that can edit profiles can enter in a warning level between 0 and 100 in a bar labeled "Warning Level" above the bar that modifies the number of posts that the user has. Also, there is a bar under the "Warning Level" labeled "Warning Notes." Context from little note next to this bar: "If you wish to enter a note for a warning, enter it here and it will be added to the users notes for them to see, and account notes for staff reference, along with the current time"
Again, this is a new feature by Proboards and I have no idea how it exactly works. =P

I've not even seen that option anywhere... in fact there were a whole bunch of options, like Karma and some other things that I've not even seen a trace of. Maybe those are things that need to be turned on by an admin.

To my knowledge, only admins have the warning system function. I don't think that it is optional like the Karma function.

Y'know, either way, it'd be really nice if people'd start enforcing this rule, yeah? We have more than enough staff members to address it.

Seems like only Admins or Gmods have the ability to change sigs, though.

Ok, I've just received a poke by another YCer about sig sizes.
Can I just say, that the signature size limits are there because large sig's take far too long to download for people with slow internet connections. It's a part of the rules, so could people please change their signatures before the administration need to hand out a warn or two in people's directions!
These are forum rules, and people are breaking them. Please change your signature to fit before either the staff does, or we PM you about it!

I don't see the problem if their maybe 1 or 3 pixels over the limit.

I don't see the problem if their maybe 1 or 3 pixels over the limit. It's not much of a problem, at all, no. It's the fact that people are over the limit still, and are ignoring us. We've had the sig restrictions rule in affect since forever, and I find it very difficult to belive that the staff need to mention it again because more than 10 people were breaking it at one stage. There are currently a couple of people breaking it, and I, or other staff will be sending a PM their way if they're not changed. If they're not changed a couple of days after the PM, administrators have no choice but to remove them themselves. Please people, check your sig sizes!

reposting the sig rules again because people still seem to be ignoring them :-\ I only bring it up because I'm seeing a fair number of sigs breaking the rules. I'd have edited them myself by now if I actually had the capability to

I think people have received enough warning now. Administrators will start editing signatures that break rules. :S People don't realise how much it affects people with low resolutions and slow internet connections. Not everyone has broadband, so keep the sizes down. :S

It's about a dozen pixels over the height limit. You could get rid of the top image in your sig, or move all of the pictures onto the same row, or something.
