I was assigned a 25 line praise poem. I don't really like it but my teacher seemed to. Its a bit random. At least I got an A+ for it. Here it is for anyone interested in reading it.
Things I praise
Praise to God for keeping me alive throughout the day.
Praise to waking up each and every day.
Praise to Technology – without it today would not be the same.
Praise to My friends and family for company and thought sharing.
Praise to everyone – because everyone has a life and is unique and beautiful.
Praise to The people who suffer everyday and hide their pain.
Praise to optimistic persons and optimism for bringing joy and happiness to the world.
Praise to the ability to ask questions.
Praise to beauty. Enough said.
Praise to life itself for life is unique and beautiful.
Praise to the six senses, without them life would be bland.
Praise to the silence for the times we need to get away from the world.
Praise to the warmth and the coldness to satisfy our body temperatures.
Praise to feelings and emotions that make me unique.
Praise to entertainment – so we don’t grow bored.
Praise to the ability to expand wisdom with our open-mindedness.
Praise to well being and medicine for the times we are ill and can’t be our outstanding selves.
Praise to personality and personal traits.
Praise to song and the song that birds sing which brings our mind to distant lands.
Praise to painted art and photographs – they can say over a thousand words for the open-minded.
Praise to gravity and its pull which affects us.
Praise to the complexity of knowledge and wisdom.
Praise to a different variety of tastes and textures in the nourishment we consume.
Praise to water – it is the elixir of life.
Praise to love – the indescribable sensation we feel in our hearts that dives us toward another individual, [and transcendence.]
