Heh. Well, I thought I'd give an RP a chance.
After working on a new "manga" (yeah, not that good at drawing, but what the heck) series I'm writing (Bass Ando: Ace Attorney) I decided, heck, why not make an RP of it?
Signup sheet:
Name
Age
Sex
Position: This is what you are in the case, eg Defence, Defence's Aide, Prosecution, Prosecutor's Aide, Witness, Defendant
This is how it'll work:
Before each day in court, the defence and procecution will get a chance to investigate crime scenes and other areas and question witnesses. Suspects will always remain in the Detention Center. I'll decide when each day will be over.
In court, the procecution will present their opening statement and call their first witness. The witness will testify, and the defence will cross-examine them. If the defence finds a contradiction in the testimony, quote the statement, call "Objection!" and present the contradicting piece of evidence. If the judge doesn't feel that it's a big enough of a contradiction, the testimony will continue. If the defence wants to question the witness further on a statement, quote the statement and ask any questions you want. The prosecution may object to the defence's line of questioning at any time as long as they have a good reason.
BTW, witnesses can be anyone who isn't a suspect but is involved in the case, be it a detective or an actual witness to the murder.
Kay..
Name: T3h Judge (That's "Your Honour" to you.)
Age: ??
Gender: Male
Position: Do I really need to say?
As for the first case...following the tradition of GS games, it will only be one day in court, kind of a training case. It's a simple one, a hit-and-run. The victim is an elementary school boy, Andy Kay. The defendant is...well, whoever decides to sign up for that first.
Starting evidence list:
Attorney's Badge
Autopsy Report:
"Time of death: 3:06 PM
Cause: Blunt force trauma to the head, snapping a vertebrae in the neck."
Map of Crime Scene:

Oh yes. And in THIS RP, the defence CAN lose the case, unlike in PW.
