A green forest with majestic trees and ribbons of gold intertwining, with the songs of birds all around and the pleasant sound of a far off stream humming; that is my peace, and my joy. A raging tempest high above, with unpleasant and gloomy clouds which constantly pour down rain, and the roar of thunder and quick blinding lightning all about; that is my pain. A peaceful meadow with the sweet smell of wildflowers everywhere, great gray mountains rising high above a tall minty evergreen forest on the horizon; that is my passion, my love. A void of lavender with white swirling clouds expanding infinitely all around; that is my dream, my whimsy. Deep and dark caves, with columns of brown stone closing in all around me, and not a soul around; that is my loneliness, my sorrow. A spacious cavern made of shining crystals and bioluminescent toadstools lining the walls, and a cool natural spring where I may be refreshed; that is my hope. An endless and cruel desert where the sun is always glazing brightly high above, where no life can take root and sustain itself; that is where my hope is lost. A pit of fire raging and screaming as flames are sent high into the air, higher and higher the lake is pulled until it explodes out the top of a great cone mountain with blinding black smoke, destroying all with its ash and ember; that is my rage. Just as there are many forms of nature in the world, there are as many forms of emotion within myself. Some of those I find pleasant and would never want to leave, while others I detest and would never wish to see. There is a lot of dark and light in me, as there is in nature, and just as nature cannot be controlled by the world, I find it hard to control my emotions. Perhaps that is why I love nature so much; because we are so similar.
So, Yink and I were talking, and though I can't remember what led to it, she related her emotions to colors. I tried that, but could not do it. I then tried to relate emotions to nature, and there you have it. Yeah, I think I can express myself through nature a lot easier than other alternatives. It just seems more...natural.
