A forest of majestic trees, Ribbons of gold intertwining, A far off stream or river Constantly flowing and humming. This is my serenity.
A raging tempest above; Thunder roaring and fierce With torrents of heavy rain, And lightning quick to pierce This is my pain, my sorrow.
A peaceful meadow of flowers Graced by a gentle wind, Grey mountains behind green woods, To the heavens they ascend. This is my love and passion.
A void of lavender air, White clouds swirling around Constant and expanding, And yet nary a sound. This is my dream, my whimsy.
Deepest caves of darkness With columns closing in. No one around but me alone, Scared of what lurks within. This is my fear and loneliness.
A shining cavern of crystal, Its aura glowing true, And a clear and refreshing fountain; Waters shimmering and blue. This is my respite and hope.
An unforgiving desert; A sea of dunes and sand. The sun forever beating down, On lands barren and bland. This is where my hope is lost.
A deep sea of inferno With screaming, raging fires Rising up within a mountain. Black clouds become great spires. This is my rage, my fury.
Nature comes in many forms In this world vast and blue. Just as they cannot be tamed, My emotions cannot be too.
So, it became a poem after all! It came out rather smoothly too. I'll be reading this at the talent show my church is holding sometime in September. Wish me luck!

Good luck! If you read it with feeling you'll definitely be praised! This is beautiful and I'd love to try writing something like this myself (as I've said before.)

Very good poem. Puts best selling authors to shame. And, Thank-you for being an unlikely source of inspiration.
