Protoman: Controversial DLC

Reading around the internet, I've noticed a lot of fuss over Megaman 9's recently revealed Download Content (DLC).

Capcom has revealed to us today that Proto Man, Mega Man’s mysterious robo-brother, will indeed be playable in Mega Man 9 via paid DLC. The materials we received say it’ll arrive the week of October 6 for 200 Wii Points, 160 Microsoft Funnybucks and plain ol’ $1.99 on PSN.

Is he worth two dollars to you?

Personally, I intend to pay it. I'll have 200 points left over anyhow.

If said game were for the PC and more indie, then I could have simply gotten the character for free. Companies need to stop charging money for such useless commodities, even if they're only worth $2.

Even if I had the game, I probably wouldn't buy it. Sure, it's two dollars, but it can go towards something more fulfilling, like snack money for the week for musical rehearsals at school =P
