Habits are a perplexing thing. They can be formed out of nowhere, and some are just downright obscure. Personally, I have a few of my own. If my right arm brushes a wall or something while walking, I sometimes feel that my left arm must do the same otherwise the the electrostatic charge wouldn't be equal (even though this is ludicrous). I guess you might call that a little bit of superstition. I'm not even superstitious though! I always find myself tapping away at a keyboard in a drum-like rhyme. I just can't help it! And finally, I'll almost never, ever, ever make a thread, but will reply to threads. However, today I felt I should contribute a little more. So, what about you? Any obscure habits? Common habits? Please, give a hoot.

Great massive signature image, Batman!
Well, the only weird habits I find myself doing are: 1) Something that scarred me since the days I was heavily into the DDR simulation scene. To this day, whenever I listen to music or when I have a song stuck in my head, my index and middle finger dances to the beat on my thumb like a DDR pad. 2) Whenever I get really nervous, I blow on my hands a lot to cool them down. Maybe they may never get really sweaty, but I certainly cannot afford to take such high cost risks!

Mine are... odd? Well, to me they are.
• Whenever I'm walking alone, I have to let lose a singing frenzy. • When I'm playing a game, and losing at it, I swing around the controller in a counter-clockwise motion. • I kinda... RP alone when I'm in the shower. (Like, pretend something is there, and talk to him/her/it .-.;; ) • I do this crackling with my fingers every hour. It makes me feel more comfortable .-. • I do a "bwoosh" sound when I hit someone or something, without even knowing it

- I bite my fingernails and the skin of my fingers, and consume whatever piece of skin/nail I bite off.
- If I lick my fingers after eating something, I sniff at them.
- Whenever I take a drink from a glass or mug, before I pull the cup away, I either lick at or rub my lips across where I sipped from. To prevent dripping? I don't know.
I also have a habit of leaving the bedroom window open on a night, but that's just me being docile.

My habits I guess are straight-forward. I crack my neck every time I get nervous because I feel like I get all tense and I worry that my neck will freeze in one place. Also, I have the tendency to stretch my legs whenever I am just standing around bored. I used to sprint in track and field, so it's become a habit.
Oh, and probably the most embarrassing is if I am thinking on my own, I sometimes begin to sing the most random song that surprisingly relates to a word that I just thought. Yeah, a lot of awkward times have come out of that.

Great massive signature image, Batman! Oops, sorry about that. Is it too big? Do you want me to change it? Some other habits are: - I sing in the shower
- I always wrap my fingers together when I'm standing
- I'll have my hand to my chin when I'm sitting at the computer... a lot

I had my hand on my chin while reading this... I also have a tendency to line things up, like car air vents etc. It bugs me otherwise.

I wash my hands an awful lot. I think that's about it. I'm a really bad nail biter too.
And yes I also lick my cup but only to prevent drips of tea going everywhere.

I like to say completely off-the-wall random crap, particularly dates that begin with 18 or 19.( One time, I was not amused, kind of a blank emotion and I shouted "Let's shoot some lead!!" It was about 11 or 12 at night but I couldn't help but laugh, even though it wasn't funny!)I also like to sing a lot. My latest habit is I like to flip thing into the air and try to catch them. And when I'm losing to a CPU, I like to pretend they can here every thing I'm saying; or if It's like an old sonic game, I pretend sonic can here me. I don't know if I still have that last one.
Edit: After I posted this, I said "1826".

Man, I don't even know where to start here. But I know once I leave I'll remember a million other obscure habits.
Every time I meet someone new, I ask them if they listen to Rush. I constantly tap my fingers. I turn every hard rap song I hear into a Neopets userlookup for trolling. I troll. I always leave one bite of food. I sit on my feet. Always. Ever since I was a kid. When I see someone attractive, make eye contact with someone, or bcome embarassed, I rapidly tuck the same piece of hair back again and again and again. I turn everything into innuendo or a Yo Momma joke. I quote 300/sing along to instrumentals. I impulse call people whenever something slightly relevant pops up in my life. I say "What?" after anyone speaks (usually because I didn't hear them, but hey, habit nonetheless.) I leave messes everywhere, even when I know they're there. I procrastinate on everything. Even if it's simple or fun, like drawing. I don't put a new video game down until I beat it. I sing duets with Midnight Yoshi.
...And basically any other terribly annoying thing you can think of.

• I kinda... RP alone when I'm in the shower. (Like, pretend something is there, and talk to him/her/it .-.;; ) It's tough to admit, but this is one of my habits as well. Sometimes I did wish I had a waterproof notepad or something to help me remember what transpired... ^^; Mine include, but are not limited to: -The common biting of the nails... -Rocking myself back and forth whenever a video game gets intense... -Actually running out of things to say during any conversation... -Procrastination, and lots of it... -Staring into space and actually trying to... -The scratching of my chin, especially when fuzz starts to grow... -There's a 5% chance that a MSN conversation I'm partaking in was actually started by me... -Doing whatever I can to follow the beat of a song, be it tapping my foot, fingers or hands, moving my head or body, etc... -Also, while it isn't like me I get a little angry when someone beats to a song but does it off-tempo, while thinking they aren't. -I tend to apologize a lot, even if it's not really required... -My mind spontaneously drawing a blank... ... There may be lots more, but I can't think of any more at the moment.

Sometimes I did wish I had a waterproof notepad or something to help me remember what transpired... ^^; Awesome, I shall now know you as: the guy who does similar things as me. Hoo-rah! |O ... or Baxxy. They're both good Ah, another thing. • Whenever someone says something, I reply with "Your face (does whatever)" or just "Your face./!/?" I have no idea why, I guess I just grew on me? .-.;; I even say it to teachers. • About teachers, whenever one is talking, and they talk for a while, I say the last word they say.

Twitch! I have quite the nervous twitch which always occur during tests which is annoying.
Before I go to sleep I think as I fall asleep to get to lucid dream. Takes longer to fall asleep, but a lucid dream is worth it~
Cat talking. This is common, but it's still a weird habit.
Everything must be sorted by color before consuming. M&Ms, skittles, gummy worms/bears, what have you.
This is an annoying one- if someone asks me a question, I always ask 'What?' and then I answer it. Always throws people off.
I must have millions more but I can't bother everyone with them. It would take pages.

I tend to break out in "heavy metal" mode, where my face will be all serious while I just lip sing rock songs. This mostly goes on at work. XD
I also headbang and air drum when I do my daily running exercises. Heavy metal, once again. LEVEL UP ! !

Oh boy. I bite my nails and the skin around them, usually to the point where it hurts, but I spit them out rather than eating them. I spit a lot. I really hate that habit. I think my salival glands produce more saliva then they're supposed to. My mind wanders and makes the wildest (sometimes scary) scenarios. I think it starts when someone looks at me funny or something. Then the imaginary adventure begins, which usually winds with me in jail, dead, or in an asylum...and I'm giving the kid (or whoever) very dirty looks all the while. This habit scares me a little bit. I clear my throat a lot. Almost always, I have my hair behind my ears. I don't like this habit, either, because it makes the tips of my hair curve forwards. Probably another reason I've been mistaken for a female for more than ten times. If I have something in my hand, I'm usually spinning it around or doing something to keep it moving. When I'm thinking hard, I tap some part of my body on the nearest thing that will make the most noise. I subconsciously, say, tap my foot on the ground, then move to the metal leg of the chair I'm sitting in, then tap various places on that leg until I find the loudest. It's either that, or I'm tapping my fingers on something to a beat in my head, thinking anyone hearing it can understand the beat, too. I talk too much. This goes along with my over-explaining things, usually saying something unnecessary and eventually going into a totally different subject. I would like to stop that. Here's a scenario: If I've just unlocked the door with my keys, then put the keys down without hammering the memory of where I put them into my brain, I'll forget where I put them if I get the least bit distracted. This goes for many other things, too, like talking. There's more, I'm sure, but it's late.

Other habits: If I step on a crack or a different kind of floor, etc, I fell this strange felling in my foot and figure the other must get equal steps on the same type of flooring. I sometimes talk and seem evil when I'm mad, but intend no harm. Sometimes I pretend to be mad, sounding less crazy than when I am. I hate this one. I always put a space after punctuation when typing, correcting every one I miss. This is the worst one. Overreacting. Procrastination. I sometimes act out what I'm thinking. EDIT: I like to drink from the bad-kitty-bottle. I don't know why.

I always put a space after punctuation when typing Aren't you supposed to? Maybe he means just one. Which is correct. I learned to put two spaces after the end so it's what I do. Old habits die hard.

Whenever I hear music, even if I hate the song, I start tapping the beat with whatever I happen to decide to tap with.
