And in Super Mario World, Bowser kidnapped Yoshi and put him in the egg.....i think. Maybe i misinterpret it. I haven't played it in a looong time:)

No, that's correct. Yoshi's friends were captured, imprisoned in eggs, and trapped inside of the Koopa Kids' castles. Yoshi went out to rescue him, but he, too, was kidnapped. Of course, his egg is the one that you find inside the ? blocks (I guess Bowser ran out of castles.) Then there were also the different colored Yoshis; they were born/hatched on Star Road, which is why they've all got special abilities ('tis a majickal place.)
It's kind of interesting; in games, I always tend to favor animal characters... I have thought about it before, and it seems that Yoshi fits my ideals pretty nicely... or is it the other way around? I really have no idea; I've asked myself before: "Why Yoshi?" I come up with justifications, but I really can't find a cause, a reason.
Hmm... it's all so curious.

Graedius is right. Yoshis have knowledge, right? Yoshis don't go to school, so why should they have knowledge? Knowledge is one thing, intelligence is another. Think of those two things as in a computer: The processor is intelligence, and the data on the hard disk is knowledge. The more knowledge you have about the world, the less happy you can be. I've always seen Yoshi as sort of the embodiment of everything I love and respect about animals. Like, that sort of symbiotic relationship between two different species? The kind that one commonly sees in the pet/owner relationship? The pet usually has an outstanding loyalty for the owner, and provides kindness and affection in return for the same, and will enjoy the mere company of the owner. I mean, of course the owner feeds the pet, but that's really do insignificant; it's about the Platonic companionship of the two for one another. And, unless the owner's a real jerk, the feelings are usually mutual Fifth couldn't have said it better, I feel exactly the same thing. Unlike animals, humans can feel an emotion called "hate". I would never want Yoshi to have the intelligence of a human, because that would make him start behaving like one. in games, I always tend to favor animal characters... Probably because humans are evil?

Probably because humans are evil? Again lad, we're not evil; Intelligence is evil. No matter whta it may be, with intelligence comes the need and wants for personal gain, for the self, for self wants... it's just that way. No matter what became as intelligent as us, it would have the same kind of problems that we are plagued with, I.E. Greed, Jealosy, etc. Yoshi's are just below that level, IMO, which is why they can live in a very stable society with what appears to be little problems. They just aren't based around the self, and more around others.

Actually, in a lot of games, the bad guys seem to be evil doctors trying to take over the world. So in video games, humans are evil. In real life, humans can also be evil. Like Graedius said, greed, jealousy, revenge, this is all in the mind of a human being. Money sometimes causes this. Have you heard the expression, "The love of money is the root of all evil?" The money itself is not evil, but the reactions humans make towards money is. Humans can be evil because of their reactions to things, we're not evil just because we are humans.

I could've sworn that was "knowledge." Without intelligence you cannot have barely any knowledge beyond instinct.

I see a carefree and cute hero that won't leave his friends in danger, sadness and all. I see a green "rock" of love, caring and friendship to others. I see a courageous fruit eater, A hero for all times.
In two words - I see Yoshi.
Whatever I said is not that original, but I couldn't have said it otherhow.
Yoshi's greatness is so wide, that it couldn't be expressed in a small words.

I just like Yoshi because he's a cute Reptile, who's stereotyped as nice, whther it be that way in reality or not.

Yoshi doesn't even look like a reptile to me. In Yoshi Lore there's a "Yoshi facts" corner, and in the secondary title written: "What is Yoshi? Some say he's a dinasour, some say he's a dragon, and some say he's a frog, but Yoshi is of it's own species, like a cat, or a dog...". Yoshi is a Yoshi! Capeesh!?

In two words - I see Yoshi. -counts- Thats three right? lol. Anyway.. I think intelligence is the capability to gain knowledge? Maybe? Does that make sense? If you are not intelligent enough, you can't understand knowledge. Some people just aren't intelligent enough

Think, lad. THINK. God. I am getting so sick of explaining this to insolent worms liek you, lad. But I will, because your foolishness angers me so. READ THIS AND UNDERSTAND IT PLEASE, I don't want to have to type it another 2,500 times. Yoshis are Yoshis, yes, but they are also Dinoasuars, which are also Reptiles. Yoshi is the Species, Dinosaur is the Genus (or family...) And Reptile is the Phylum. See, what you're saying is like this: It's like you saying a Velociraptor is a Velociraptor, but not a Dinosaur. Which is, of course, hardly the case. It is both a Velociraptor which is a sub-portion of the genus/family Dinosaur, which is a sub-portion of the Phylum Reptilia (Reptiles.) So FINALLY, ONCE AND FOR ALL, will people REMEMBER THIS PLEASE! Species name, classification, and phylum are totally different things!!! Humans are mammals... Yoshis are Dinosaurs... Please tell me you get it. Because if you don't, I might go on a psychotic murderfest, caused by a lack of communication for the 18,000th time. ...And don't tyry to Capeesh someone when you hardly know what you're on about.

In Yoshi Lore there's a "Yoshi facts" corner, and in the secondary title written: "What is Yoshi? Some say he's a dinasour, some say he's a dragon... Yoshilore, yoshilore, YOSHILORE! Who cares about what Yoshilore says? FYI, this site also had a Yoshi facts section. Much of what yoshilore has in their Yoshi facts section was COPIED OFF MY Yoshi facts. (You can find my yoshi facts at Teh Yoshi's site).
