???How many posts does it take to be a Yoshi? Or does it depend how long you've been a member?

This question has been asked before.
It's somewhere around 180 posts or so. I can't remember.

!!SPOILERS!! 0 - 79: New Yoshi 80 - 159: Junior Yoshi 160 - 319: Yoshi 320 - 919: Senior Yoshi 920+: God Yoshi (I have no idea who made that one up)
So there you have it.
HOWEVER, ranking shouldn't matter whatsoever, so don't let it be some kind of incentive to go buckwild with the posting. Simply make yourself at home and say what needs to be said, really. There's no competition here, nor should the feeling of being higher than others ever arise.

If you ask me, forums should get rid of custom ranks and post counts. I mean, it's obvious people are going to try to raise their ranks with quantity of posts over quality. Not saying anyone here would, just saying it's been known to happen other places.

Unlike some other places we don't prevent access to certain boards based on post count, so the incentive to spam in order to raise it is diminished. Unfortunately proboards won't let me remove post count and titles altogether.
