Right, it's been a while and it's probably not a good time to do this because I've actually done very little recently. Whoops. Good to see you guys have all been well behaved!
Now, this was supposed to be a yearly thing but I guess that got shot out the water with lack of style, but the idea of this thread is to get ideas on whether myself and the channel staff are doing a good job on keeping the room a great place to chill out, and if not, throw some constructive criticism out if you feel that something could do with a change.
Without further a do, I'll hand it over to you guys. How're we doing?
Also, on an unrelated note: Nate, grow up and quit spewing your tiny brain all over our board. Your email may be hidden to everyone else, but it is not hidden to me!

In general, things are going well on the front of all #yc* channels. They provide a very ample place for chillin'. I don't know about other "official" channels since I don't visit them. Although the members do seem to be behaved and do not need much staff enforcement, I feel at least one of the IRCops needs to step up in terms of knowledge of the operation of the privileges they are given and the responsibilities they assume as an IRCop. Out of the 4 IRCops assigned, I only really have faith that two of them know full well what they are doing/supposed to do. However, the supplemental/per-channel-basis operators that I've encountered in the channels I'm in pick up the slack well enough.
Overall experience on the availability of the network is very good. Most of any issues I receive are on my end. The occasional server unavailability after a crash of the system/attack/whatever else brings the server down at peak hours are frustrating, though. I don't really know if this can be addressed easily or at all, though. The only other "gripe" would be that out of the two subdomains that are assigned for the IRC, irc.f... and rr.f..., only the latter works.

In all general issues, I fully agree with Enrique. The #yc channels have been quite civil, and quite fun in which to hang out. I do agree certain IRCops need to learn the extent of their privileges and use them accordingly, however I've noticed channel ops are doing fine as well. And boy, some of them are really quick on the commands!
Again, as Enrique says, availability is fine barring the occasional server outage or crash, which hasn't been happening as of late. It can be frustrating, but it usually becomes available again either within an hour or the next day.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with how the network is running, aside from the small nitpicks mentioned above.
