Heroes of the Tale (RP)

"Gwargh," Arx said as he left the Inn. There were people pushing, and shoving, getting to the center of town. "How annoying!" He rushed through like the rest of the townsfolk, mainly elbowing anyone who would get in front of him. He heard some replies like, "You jerk!" or "A-hole!," but that didn't bother him, as he ran through. When he finally reached the center of town, he gasped in awe.

" I hate crowds..." Renard muttered, dodging and weaving through a sea of people. If walking walls ever existed, it has to be-, His thoughts were cut off as some Salamander kid elbowed him right in the stomach, almost making him double over in pain. " Son of a..." He was outright shoving past everybody in his effort to reach the one who had hit him. By the time he reached the center of the square and laid his hand on the adolescent's shoulder, something caught his eye that drove every other thought out of his mind.

Vergil felt an elbow forcibly move him aside, and felt the urge to unsheath Yamato, but supressed it and kept moving. "Hmph, imbeciles... These inferior beings should know their place. If only they knew..." Vergil thought scathingly. He however, had much more important things to accomplish. Vergil continued to slowly move through, ignoring the slamander-like being that had so ungracefully pushed him aside.
"I can only hope that no-one has already found that stone..." Vergil muttered.

"So, Kiru." Faron started, "Why did you want to take me out to this grassy field?" The wind blew gently against her hair, making it look prettier than ever. Kiru started to step closer to her. "Listen, Faron. I'm not sure if we are really friends, in fact, I'm not sure what a real friend is, but I know that you think I'm a jerk sometimes, so-" Suddenly interrupting Kiru, a giant black beast sprang up from behind Faron, grabbing her in it's claws. She screamed and kicked trying to break free, but the beast was to strong. Kiru watched, helplessly. The beast was not alone, he noticed. A man was standing ontop of it. "So, she's the one, huh Junigan?" The beast growled in response. Kiru was too shocked to say or move anything. It felt as if his nerves just stopped working. The man looked down to him. "Hm, I shall not have any witnesses." He jumped off of the beast. "Junigan, kill that boy." The man ran off with Faron. She had stopped screaming. What did he do to her, Kiru thought. Before he could think up anything else, the beast lunged at him, knocking Kiru into an oak tree. It decided to stop there and took off to wards the man. Kiru had broken most of his bones. I need to help Faron! Get up, get up! He lye there for hours feeling so ashamed of what just had happened. It was so quick that-

"Damn it!!" Kiru said out loud to himself. "I need to let that go. It was almost a year ago. I don't even care for her anymore..." He knew that was a lie, but he told that to himself every day. Deciding to explore a little, he jumped off the roof of a house and walked around town a bit. Kiru knew that Faron was the closest thing that he ever had, has, or will have as a friend. Despite this, he tells himself that he doesn't need any every day also. Kiru checked his pocket for money. About a couple of change was all that was left. He headed to wards the apple stand and picked one up, leaving a couple of coins on the table and walked away. "Didn't even leave an old man a tip?" Apple man scolded. "I bet your father was as selfish!" Kiru stopped in his tracks. "Don't you ever compare me to my father! I have pride unlike that bitter fool!" He turned around and threw the apple straight into the old man's face. The local guard had noticed this and spotted Kiru. Deciding not to stick around to find out what was gonna happen, he dashed away from the guard and headed for the town exit.

"Phew! That took longer than I thought! Depth is always deceiving me, isn't it?" Baterro let his entire body collapse to the ground, settling down so that he could recover from the immense distance. "I must have travelled nearly thirty miles or so, and here I am just on the village's outskirts... Maybe I should've kept some of that energy from earlier..." He rose his head off of the ground to check out the village again, still seeing mass chaos in the center of it. "Jeeze," he thought, "You would think that the crowd would have disappeared by now, but it looks like the situation is getting worse and worse... What is it that is driving them to push everyone out of the way for?" His curiosity forced his arms to support his body as he rose to his feet once more. As soon as he took his first step, the corner of his eye caught two men running close to where he was. To the left of him was someone who bore a guard's uniform chasing a second person. Baterro only looked in confusion for a second, and then continued towards the town. "I should probably go and see if I can help out with whoever needs it, but from the looks of things, it looks like it doesn't have anything to do with what's happening in the village. I'll try to stay out of the guard's affairs this time."

With his mouth wide agape, Arx focused on the vision before him. The legendary egg of Insol! What an honor it was for him, just to see it in person! It emanated a small and misty green glow. "Ahh... I... ermm... eh..." Arx could not find the words to say for this event. Suddenly, the glow from the egg began to grow, shining flashes of light. Once again, Arx's mouth stood open.

*Vergil caught a faint glimmer from the corner of his eye. Almost instantly, he turned around to investigate its cause. drawing closer to the sparkle of green, he noticed a figure.*

"You there, move aside! I happen to be looking for a very powerful artifact, and that may be the one. Is that the egg of Insol?"

*Vergil put his hand to Yamato, ready in case this person may in fact be guarding the artifact.*

Gassan dodged through the crowd popping his head up between two people near the front of the herd. He tried to push and shove past them - to no avail. He caught a glimpse of the egg, curiosity over took him. He stared in awe at the strange new object.

"Heh, sweet." Arx then said. He was about to get a closer look, but was stopped by a man in, what looked like, a heavy suit of armor. The man in armor told Arx to stay back, and that no civilians should get too close. Arx pouted a bit, but did as told. He stretched out his body, trying to get a good view of the egg, but with no avail. Just then, the egg began to glow once more. A very feint image hovered close to the egg! It began to speak.

"Villagers of Artok... my power is diminishing once again..." The figured had said.

[Sanjo]

A small, green glow was emitted from the center of the crowd. Baterro looked in awe as the crowd began to die down. He could here a very faint voice, only picking up the words "...power...diminishing...". Baterro thought instantly that something was wrong, and started to run closer to the crowd. By the time he reached a guard in the back of the crowd, everything was silent. He could hear the wooden floors creeking across town. He, too, amazed by the glow, stood there like the others awaiting what more was to be said from the green light.

Kiru stopped to take a breather, finally losing the guard and all. He leaned against the side of a tree, panting. "Not much to do today." He said to himself. Deciding not to head back to town he sat down, plucking an apple from the branch above his head and began slowly consuming it.
