Do any of you play some kind of music instrument or have some involvement with music production in a way?
For me, I've been playing piano nearly my whole life, but quite taking lessons seriously when I was only in 4th grade. As of late, I decided to give piano another try with a more serious and classically trained attitude. Due to the on-again, off-again piano practices, I'm not nearly as good as I should have been if I were to practice everyday since the beginning in my childhood.
It's also been around 5 months since I took up violin lessons ever since my friend decided to give me his old student violin. And thanks to my violin teacher who is actually a violist, I have a new deep interest and fascination toward the viola (basically the butt of all jokes in an orchestra). I bought a cheap 16.5" viola online lately, and once I get everything fixed (because it's so cheap), I'll start honing my viola skills with my viola teacher. I can't perform any real songs yet; since it's they're radically new instruments to me, I'm only studying various techniques and études.

I used to play a Clarinet and had been doing so for a few years, however with some complications regarding my teacher, I quit playing. I was also able to play the Oboe as well (because both instruments are basically the same), but I never owned one, I only played one when a friend and myself when I used to go to my local band practice used to swap instruments just for fun.
Though it had been a while since I last picked one up, and I no longer have my Clarinet, but I would think that if I did pick it up again, the talent will still be there.
Since then though, I've been more interested in playing Bass guitar, and although I've not had any lessons, I've taught myself a few things, and I'm able to play basic basslines. I should get back to playing it, but my Bass guitar's machineheads are faulty (thanks brother).

I started out playing Trumpet in 5th grade up to 8th grade. Since then I moved to low brass played Baritone and a little bit of Tuba and Trombone and was brass captain of my highschool band. XD ;D I wish I can purchase my own Baritone someday, because it was my most favorite instrument to play. My voice has been my primary instrument for all my life.

My voice has been my primary instrument for all my life. Story of my life right there. I, too, played the trumpet and then moved into baritones (except I played Euphonium), but I gave it up at the beginning of high school so I could focus on singing. Since then, I've been singing non-stop =D

I've played piano for the longest time, and that's.. the only thing I can actually play. I'm no good at most classical songs unless I've heard it before hand; otherwise, it takes me forever and a day to finally learn it.
The only other thing I participate is my school's musicals, but my voice isn't loud or decent enough for any sort of solo part.
I used to play Recorder in.. 8th grade? But I never kept that up. So yeah..

I can play the kazoo alright, and I used to be able to play a few things on the keyboard, but that's it. And a pox on all those who dare claim the kazoo isn't a real instument. =3
