Do wikis and manpages count?
On a more serious note, when I actually do read books, it tends to be something either sci-fi or comedy-related (or both). One of the more memorable books I read recently was A Confederacy of Dunces.

Comedy, definitely, though I could pick up a fantasy or an action genre.. with comedy, definitely.

What do you call the book genre that has to do with large historical events? I like those, and well, most books. Heck, I'll read any book.

What do you call the book genre that has to do with large historical events? Isn't that just "Historical Fiction/Non-Fiction"?

Non-fiction, political. Not that junk like "How to talk to a liberal if you must" or "common sense" by partisan hacks. Analytical books, like "The Rebel's Dilemma" and "The Rich get Richer and the Poor get Prison."

Uh. I like murder mystery books, courtroom-setting sort of things. I go for mostly fictional fantasy sort of things too.
But usually by the end of summer I'm sick of reading whatever my school feeds me, so.. I don't read much unless I'm desperate not to listen in class.

I like fiction, the fantasy genre, mostly. But, I also like books that have their own original charms that remain in your memories forever. I don't think I've actually read a book like that, but if Up was a book, that would be what I'm talking about.

Well, I haven't been reading too many novels, but I have been reading manga recently =P. Regardless of origins and such, comedy, romance, action, mystery, and some dramatic novels are the best. Also, ones that are tactical have some great moments too when they are done right.

Fantasy Fiction for sure! Stuff like the Dragonlance series, His Dark Materials, etc. I love it all. I also love reading books regarding physics and astronomy. Actually, I will really read any book that keeps me captivated, and is well written ^^, no matter what genre it is.

I don't really read as much as I should, but mine would have to be adventure, fantasy, or mystery. Maybe I should go to the library more often...

Romance, action, mystery... I think that's pretty much what I read. However, like Yoshiken said, I'll read anything that's well written, regardless of genre. Right now I'm reading a book called Leave it to Psmith, and I'm really enjoying that. ^^ And The Lord of the Rings were my favorite books. I loved reading those. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was really good too... I absolutely hated the movie though. >_< Oh, I really enjoyed reading The Host too. =P

I don't read as many books as I should, but it seems like the stuff I tend to enjoy are drama and books based on true stories. I guess examples would be Memoirs of a Geisha and Wild Swans.

Recently I've been reading an awful lot of Sci-Fi because at my core I am a giant nerd. Recently finished off Eisenhorn, which was actually three books worth of Warhammer 40K based excellence and now I've moved on to World War Z because zombies are fantastic in all forms.
I've heard of a book coming out soon which combines zombies and steampunk so I'm definately going to have to take a look at that when it comes out.
