Update: April 12th Read my most recent post. The Yoshi Artist Project 2 Sign ups are now closedThis starts yet another Yoshi drawing collaboration project. If you didn’t make the deadline and couldn’t participate in the first one, here’s your chance. For those of you who participated last time, you will remember how each picture that was added to the collaboration was separated by a span of white. It was essentially a neat collection of artwork from different artists. I was thinking of doing something very different this time. This time, why not have all the figures from each artist in the same picture? The work of each and every artist would be blended together, into one big multi-styled drawing. To make this happen though, we need organization. I will have threads for this on YoshiArtForums, Yoshi’s Corner, as well as a branch on Deviant Art. It's my job to keep track of what every artist is doing on all three sites. I ask that you as an individual do what you can to cooperate with me. Your cooperation will help this project run smoothly. Just think, if this works, it’ll be freakin’ awesome. I will now send PMs to all the Yoshi drawing artists I know. If you know anyone that I may not know, but would like to participate, please PM me and I’ll try to find this artist. Traditional and digital artists are both accepted, though if you can draw on the computer, I would HIGHLY recommend you do digital art for this collaboration. I would like to participate. Is there a deadline? And what image size should we aim for?

Wait wait. Everyone. You haven't even been given instructions yet! I'm going to let sign ups go on for a few more days, and then we can start. Not yet though. The instructions this time are quite different, just wait. Here's a list of participants though. There were less people though. This was the result first Yoshi Artist CollaborationIf you don't like the blocky separation in the first one, don't be discouraged. Things are going to be much more unified this time. You'll see once I explain.

Oh, teh, the project went through last time. There were less people though. He was probably referring to the relatively low turnout in terms of member involvement (at least, over here. This place is a bit of a ghost town). I would totally join, but I'm in the middle of reviving BlitzzEngine. Don't wanna juggle two projects at once, since I really should be focusing my efforts on my game API that has been delayed by several years...

You know, YoshiAgent, you could just put the list of participants in your original post and simply update/edit that rather than make a new post about it. Makes it easier to see and check up on. Oh, and what I meant by my original post was that I should try and be on it since I missed out last time. Mystery solved.

Oh, good idea. I forgot YC lets me edit at any time. I'm used to having edits limited to two hours after posting, heh. Thanks.

Ok then, the first thing we need to deal with is making the background. 1. We need to establish a canvas size. Suggestions? There are 28 participants. Measurements should be in pixels. 2. After we have that down, me and a few other people will make a vague contour for the scenery. We must have a vague guideline for the scenery, otherwise the whole picture will be very inconsistent. We wouldn't want this to happen: Yes, my example is exaggerated. But my point is clear. After the basic contour is made... eh, we'll deal with that when the time comes. For now: step 1. We need to establish a canvas size.

Oh my, a double post.
I need some assistance guys.
Does anyone want to get a copy Opencanvas 1.1 and meet up with me on Hamachi? You can help me make the outline for the background. It's really easy, it'll probably take less than 10 minutes. It's just a vague outline to set things in place. Opencanvas 1.1 is free. Get it and PM me if you want to help. I'd do it with only myself, but wouldn't me doing any part of this alone defeat the overall purpose?
Yes, I know there is a modify button. But I don't think that would get any attention. Modifying a post does not bump it.

(Be sure to let me know your timezone too, I'm US central time.) What is the scenery going to be like? Spring/summery? Wintery? Has there been any other input on this? I don't go to any other Yoshi boards so I don't know what the others are saying.

I dunno, I was think Summer, or anytime besides Winter. You were the only one to volunteer as of now though. Hm. Lemme think about this.

I double posted. C'mon guys, at least post something. img413.imageshack.us/img413/5811/blankbackground.pngHere it is. 2400x1500 pixels. The next step is for you guys to draw over the background outline. Grass is green. Sky is blue. I'll let up to 10 people to work on the background. There's no point in spending a lot of time on doing the much for a background, so not everyone has to draw a part of the background. We need to decide who's going to draw first, second, third, fourth, and so on, so NO ONE DRAW UNTIL WE DECIDE. Ok, who's wants to go first? Also, did I make the instructions clear? If you do decide to help, save the image onto your computer, and save as a png. EDIT: Whoops.

Oh sorry, I copy pasted most of that from YAF, the link included. YAF shortened the actual link into something else.
