It has been down since November and not many things have been going on with it. Now, if people ARE working on it, I don't mean to rush them, but I just wanna know if people gave up on it.

...What do you mean? It's always been up. Just that everyone seems to just sit around and not talk...

Could you tell us if you're using an IRC client or Java to connect? We may be able to help.

The server is working fine, butas far as I'm aware javachat has been broken for a long time. You'll need to use a real client to connect to the network.

So I assume nobody is gonna fix it?
OK. I use a MacBook Pro. Which client do I use and how do I use it to get on the network?

If you are lazy you can just use it through browser using Mibbit.
For server address put "rr.fractalcast-networks.net" without quotes and for channel "#yc"
I use Pidgin though.

So I assume nobody is gonna fix it? The only one who can fix it is Pink, and he doesn't seem to show around here any more. The only Mac clients I know are Colloquy and X-Chat Aqua which I think I've mentioned before somewhere.

Is there some method I have to use to access the chat through the clients?

Just put rr.fractalcast-networks.net for server address and #yc for the channel you want to join to. For some programs you only have to enter the details once when you are creating a nick and for others you may have to enter all details (server address, channel and nickname to use) every time you want to join the IRC channel. This is how I have it on Pidgin, it allows you to use multiple accounts to make stuff easier to use :

Can I use Adium? I can't download Pidgin for some reason.

It doesn't look like Adium supports IRC, so you'll need to use Pidgin or one of the other clients I mentioned.

And I got it in, but damn, nobody is in the RPing room anymore? That's sad. I counted a few people before (Strangie, Lazo, Kyral and Gem are a few people I thought would still be RPing....)

Most of the activity (hurr) is in #yc so you're probably better off trying to drum up support for RPing in there first before dropping into #ycrp.
Also, you should probably hang around longer than 20 seconds, people don't always keep an eye on IRC.
