"I don't think I can use any magic..." Teal said to her while picking up the spear. He analyzed the spear noting that this one is designed only for stabbing so that means he can only damage one foe at a time. Even if he swings it horizontally the weapon will stop at the first target. The spear is as tall as himself.
Once he finally obtained his weapon of choice his face showed confidence, however his current appearance could be interpreted as evil to some. He removed the needle and got into a fighting position holding the spear horizontally pointing the spear head to his left but he appeared to be calm. He jogged over to Karth and Syleena and kept himself a certain distance between himself and his allies because of his attacking range. He shouted a battle cry, "Rock and Roll!"

Moot was taken by surprise at the speed that diplomacy had spectacularly failed, and busied himself with not getting stabbed in the face by the group of bandits that wanted to stab him in the face. Using his speed to his advantage, he ducked and dived out of the way of the thrashing swings of the bandits weaponry. Luckily for him the bandits weren't using weapons particularly suited for close combat. Unfortunately, a scythe wasn't exactly suited for a melee either, and trying to use a gun against three bloodthirsty bandits up close would have been suicidal, at best. That, and Moot wasn't planning on killing anybody.
A red shelled Koopa came out swinging wildly with a two-headed axe bigger than he was, and even though the Koopa could barely control it, having any hit contact Moot would have been seriously bad news. Moot hit the deck just as the axe head flew over the top of his ears, getting wedged into a tree. While the Koopa was busy trying to loosen his axe from the tree trunk, Moot quickly closed the distance and smacked him in the face with the shaft of his scythe, hopefully KOing the Koopa or at the very least, stunning him enough to concentrate on the other two maniacs for a while.
Moot overheard somebody from the party talking about magic - "We don't need any cheap parlour tricks! Magic doesn't even --" He was cut short by a Shy Guy launching himself with two daggers in hand at him. Moot grabbed the Shy Guy by the mask - much like a bowling ball - and attempted to fling it away somewhere, but not before one of the daggers bit into his arm tracing a dark purplish-red slice along it. "Son of a --" He shook the Shy Guy off from his hand, but Moot was interrupted yet again by a Rex trying sneak up behind him with a knife. He quickly jerked his head forward and back again, smashing the Rex in the nose in some sort of awkward reverse-headbutt.
"I hope somebody has a plan for getting out of here, because I really don't feel like fighting all these guys!" Moot shouted out to anyone who might be listening. He wiped off the blood from his arm, and turned round to face his three attackers again in case they tried anything else.

"We just might have to, although I'm sure if we all pull together and pull our talents together and work with each other, we can get through this."

The attackers quickly became more wary of the group, circling around slowly with their weapons pointed inward. A Koopa sat in the trees hurling darts at the group instead. About half of them had retreated to care for those that were wounded and trying to escape. Many by now had minor cuts from narrowly-missed attacks from Syleena and Teal's charge that were bleeding badly only because of the panic and exertion. Moot had stunned the axed Koopa long enough to escape, and he was having trouble removing his axe from the tree. The Shy Guy rubbed at his mask with an elbow and hurled his daggers in Syleena's direction, then turned to scramble off. Karth only managed to cut up one of the bandits he passed. The other danced away, keeping in the circle and trying to keep the group surrounded while the Koopa in the tree took potshots.

Syleena started to deflect the daggers with her own then smiled evilly at them. "Oh, that was a bad idea. Don't you know how accurate I am at throwing daggers?" she picked up the discarded daggers and threw them at her targets.

Yoshiken quickly secured his money bag back in its original place, and prepared himself with his katana in hand. "I should have expected as much."
A green-shelled koopa charged at him with a broadsword, swinging it diagonally with great force. Yoshiken evaded it, and then parried the next vertical slash that followed. With the koopa's momentum lost, Yoshiken lightly sliced its wrists, causing it to flinch. Yoshiken took this opportunity to grab and twist the hand, causing the koopa to drop it's weapon. He finished it off by using his free fist to send a blow across the Koopa's face, which sent it retreating back into the crowd, moaning at it's bloodied hand.
Other's approached in the Koopa's place though. Members of all kinds of species, each with their own special weapons. Yoshiken would be able to hold them off for a short bit, but after that, he doubted that he would get out of this uninjured, if even alive.
"That goes for me as well!" Yoshiken loudly replied, in regards to Moot's comment.
Another larger Koopa jumped at him with metal gauntlets. This one was much more skilled in his body movements than the last. Yoshiken swiftly sheathed his sword, and just barely caught a jab that was aimed for face before it was too late. Another punch followed it, aimed for a vital area. Yoshiken was able to move his body just in time so that the gauntlet hit him in the chest, but the blow caused him to stagger backwards. Yoshiken still had hold of the other fist, and grabbed the second one during the next attempted hit. With both of the koopa's hands now being held by Yoshiken, he summoned flames into his own. The gauntlets immediately began to absorb the heat, and caused the hands to burn on the inside. The koopa began to scream in pain, dropping to his knees.
Dart's began to fly near. With the bandits now switching their focus to long distance attacks, things were not going to get better.
He took out his sword again, picked up the koopa off of his knees, spun him around, and placed the blade of the katana near the throat.
"Look, we don't want to hurt anyone!" He said in frustration into the ear of the koopa. "Tell your friends here to back off. Is your life only worth fifty coins!?"

Be it a warrior's intuition he noticed a few of the bandits trembled at his sudden outburst and his bloody appearance. He was disgusted by being covered in blood but he felt that this would show the bandits how much of a threat he is, even without a weapon.
Hearing Yoshiken mention something about money and remembering the Rex earlier said the word 'toll' he tried to piece together what he missed out on when he was knocked out. "So they tried to take money from us? How typical of these thieves to band together in numbers, I can see that only a few of them can be worthy of wielding their weapon," Teal said arrogantly.
His words about money, thieves, and worthiness angered a koopa enough to make it charge at him from behind yelling out loud wielding a knife. This made it all too obvious for Teal, when it got close enough he jabbed it in it's face using the blunt side of the shaft and then he turned around and stabbed the spear into its shell. It did not pierce all the way through but it allowed Teal to lift it up and sling it away through one of the pathways making it fly like a speeding...turtle shell. "Whoa, I don't know my own strength!" Teal said while failing to see the darts coming.

Syleena looks around for the leader of the bandits. "Where did that stupid idiot go?"

The bandits did not speak English and so would not have understood Teal's or anyone else's banter, but easily could have made impatient charges until Yoshiken took his prisoner. Once they saw the Koopa about to be beheaded, they stood back, muttering in their language. Even the sharpshooter in the trees hesitated. The leading Rex limped forward with the help of his Goomba friend, his leg dripping and leaving a shining red trail from Karth's daggers. "No kill," He barked, standing up straight with a scowl. Champ dropped in from the trees next to Yoshiken, flexing his long claws and eyeing the Yoshi's katana. "Bit late to say you don't wanna fight."

Teal was about to yell at Champ upon sight about not assisting the team but didn't because Champ agreed to lead him to the capital. "Enjoy the show Mister Chargin Chuck?..." he said to Champ.
He stood in his fighting stance looking at the bandits trying to see if anyone would try something sneaky. He noticed that Ra and Mira didn't even lift a finger and from what he can see none of the bandits attacked them.

"You don't have a say in the matter you pompous idiot! You left us all here to die! You say you don't wanna fight, but what are we gonna do once we get Mr. Magikoopa? Did you think about how we are gonna capture him? The sign of trouble you turn tail and leave and I'm sick of it! Get your head out of your ass and be a leader! Because I'm tried of your stupidity and playing games!" Syleena snapped.

(Ra is no longer going to be playing here; he has things to attend to. That's totally fine, but it's why he hasn't been in this fight scene.)
Champ bared his teeth and flattened his ears as he glared at Syleena. "Why don'tcha get over here and sayyat t'my face! I have every say in the matter!"

Greg had been evading the attacks of the bandits for the duration of the battle. An archer simply wasn't good at close quarters, so not dying was probably the best thing he could have done.
The violence quickly died down as his group showed the bandits they were not the average run-off-the-mill travelers. Champ had returned suddenly, and had started arguing with Yoshiken and Syleena. Meanwhile, the Bandits stood around them, some looking rather stupid, others still hostile.

Moot was just about to punch his Shy guy attacker in the face - or mask, to be more accurate - but paused once he noticed that Yoshiken had taken a hostage which had seemingly started a ceasefire. He swiped some more blood from his arm which was still dripping all over the place.
Moot turned towards Syleena for a second, trying to hide a frown but probably failing entirely. "Hey, here's a radical idea, maybe Champ didn't want to get involved in that brawl because getting skewered by bandits isn't conducive to tracking down this magiturtle? Plus, being leader - that is, in charge - of this little band means he has free rein on how to run this operation. " Moot stopped for a while to rub some more blood off which was turning the grass a fetching shade of purple. "Also, shut up. Fighting between ourselves isn't going to get anyone anywhere, and I'd really like to get out of these woods as soon as possible." To further make his point, he let out a dramatic sigh.
He drifted on over to the hostage situation taking place, and gestured towards the hostage and the leader, hoping they'd understand more basic terms. "Hey, no toll, and your friend here walks away. " With any luck the threat of one of their members about to lose their head would be enough to defuse the whole situation, or at least buy enough time to get away and leave the whole mess behind them.

Champ simply laughed and shook his head, turning his attention back to Yoshiken and the bandits. He flicked an ear as Moot made his proposal.
The Rex blinked his piggish eyes and squinted at Moot. The bandits all backed away. "... Very well. We let travelers... walks away. Ya no kill any more," He snarled, stepping back on his good leg, but still suspiciously grasping his knife. Hardly any of the bandits had no visible injuries- some would likely be nursing their cuts for weeks. Yoshiken's hostage's breathing was shallow. He could not decide whether to squirm or stand as if petrified.

"..." Teal pulled down a vine and tied it to his spear making a makeshift sling. He then attached it to his back with the spear running steeply diagonal across his back with the blunt side to the right of his tail and the spear head pointing up above the left side of his head.
He knew he wasn't going to be paid for the mission. He thought about selling this decorative spear. Hopefully enough to cover costs for seeing someone about his amnesiac condition and maybe for a cheaper but more durable spear made for combat.
He remembered that he had lost Syleena's book probably when he fell trying to catch up to Champ. He thought about not telling her right now because she was in a bad mood.
