"Feh." Karth twirled his dagger as his opponent fell, putting it away and following along. "I brought everythin' I need, laddie. Arright, so we're capable of defendin' ourselves. Now what?"

(We will say that Greg pulled away Ra's robot.)
Champ barked out a laugh at Syleena's demand. "You did fail the test." He turned to look over at the others. "Are you coming, or are you gonna stare at me like I'm about to tear your throat out? We've got a jerk to track down. But you don't have to kill this guy. Just... maim him and leave him for dead on the side of the road or something. Whatever you're good at I guess. We'll find him somewhere outside town. He was seen around here last."

Syleena just shrugged it off and twirled her dagger around. "Fine. I have everything that I need also. Lead the way Champie."

Greg left the attacker with the club at the base of the building and headed over to where the group was gathering. He pulled out a large notepad and a pen, and wrote in large strokes: "Who are you guys? Who sent me the letter? By the way, I can't talk, this is how I communicate. Sorry."

"I sent the letters," Champ boredly picked at his claws. "If you had been paying attention instead of hiding off by yourself and being late, you would have heard what this is about. We're tracking down some stupid kid with a fat head. He's dangerous, but he ain't killed no one yet. Whatever you did to my robot friends here, don't do to him." Instead of leading the way though, he stood down the road near the edge of town to make sure everyone had what they needed.

"Fine, fine." Karth shrugged. "So we can't kill 'em. Big deal. Now, how dangerous we talkin' here? Crazed killer dangerous? Angry bear in the woods dangerous? Hmm?"

"If he hasn't killed anybody yet, then I assume we need to work fast."

Champ smiled and clicked his claws together devilishly. "I'd say angry bear. But only a midget one." He glanced around. "So how long does it take a band of murderers to get their act together, really? The sooner we leave, the sooner we catch him, the sooner I can go home."

"So the person that we are going after has an attitude like an angry bear?"

Yoshiken gathered to the spot where the prepared were grouping. "I have everything I need," he said, letting Champ know that he wasn't simply idling his time away.
After hearing about the description of the mission, and the details of the character they are up against, many questions came into Yoshiken's mind. Why hire so many people for what sounds like a minor threat? What did this individual do to cause Champ to want to injure him, but not kill him? He decided to keep these questions to himself though, until he understood more about the situation.
He waited to leave, and was growing impatient.

Karth furrowed his brow, rolled his eyes, and turned toward Syleena as he waited for the others.
"Well now. Ain't ya a right good observer, Captain Obvious. You oughta have ye a god-freakin'-dang medal, for bein' so sharp." Karth slapped his forehead, shaking his head. "No, he'll act like a little poodle. What else did ya freakin' think he meant!?"
He scratched his head, adjusting his bandana. "And where in Star Road is everybody else? They oughta hurry up, or I'll kick their butt all the way to our target if I have to, I will. I'm far away from home, just got done cutting down robots, and I need a drink, and I don't feel like sittin' around on me keister all day waiting for a bunch of stupid youngin' punks to dink around this god-forsaken-craphole all day long."
Karth is a very disgruntled person.

((derp work does not sit well with regular posting))
Moot finally finished wrenching his scythe out of the shoulder joint of the robot, which had been taken down with a hole blown clean through the centre, now leaking oil into the street. He turned back to the group, most of whom wanted to leave and find an angry bear, apparently.
"Well, I have most everything I need. I'm ready to go whenever." He drifted on over to the guys who looked more ready to leave. "This must be one hell of a bear if it's going to need seven of us to deal with it." Moot wiped off an oil stain from the blade of his weapon, and pocketed it in a cloud of smoke.

(Yeah. I need to work on how I post in here. It's been a long ass time since I roleplayed.)
Syleena simply ignored Karth deciding in her head that Karth was indeed a VERY disgrunted person and got ready to go when Champ said so.
(I suck at life.)

Ra crossed his arms and tapped his foot in both annoyance and impatience. He gave off feint grunts before stamping the ground once.
"Yeah, yeah. Bicker, bicker. C'mon, let's go already! Do we really need to wait for EVERYONE? Are you sure we can't handle this guy with the current group?" He yelled out suddenly, but then quietly returned to being silent as he stood with his arms still crossed.

Champ shrugged. "'Cause that's what I'm getting paid for, but okay. Let's go." He turned and floated off down the road. "Haha, a bear. The kid's a Koopa. They're not common in these parts. Keep an eye out. Though I wouldn't have to say that. You guys are pretty prepared." The road was dusty and littered with empty bags that were pushed by the slightest gusts. A few scraggly trees clung to the dust with short patches of dirty grass that made the road look like an old unshaven man. Piles of rocks dotted the sides of the roads, making for good hiding places. Other than the rocks, though, there really wasn't any place you could hang out without people noticing you. Your guide turned to address the group, floating backwards as he stared at the lot of you. He hesitated before cracking a smirk. "What a motley crew! I don't know why they would want anything to do with the likes of a bartender or zombie or... uh, mercenary? Bums with swords? What do you guys do, anyway?"

"I run a tavern, faaaaar far away from here. Cousin's takin' care of it fer now," Karth says, gesturing with his fin off in the general direction of the north. "It's what I do when I'm not gettin' into stuff like this, y'see. Adventurers back in them days, they didn't need second jobs, 'cause they just got all the gold and stuff from their journeys and used that to retire! Was a good business... back then, anyway."
Karth shrugs. "I was just a wee laddie before I started gettin' into it. Dunno about the rest of ya... I'm sure ye got your own reasons for replyin' to mysterious notes..."

"What kinda life did you lead before ye got into this gig? If ye freakin' had one..." Karth trailed off after his question to Syleena. "That goes for the rest of ye, too. Might be nice to know some more about ya all if we're gonna be workin' together."

"What life? Nothing interesting ever happens unless you look for it. If you don't look for adventure, chances are, you'll never get adventure." Syleena simply said. "So yes, I didn't have a life." she throws her dagger around in her hands.

"Life? In a mercenary group, I am. Pays well for usually easy jobs, so I can make an easy living out of it." Ra said as he chuckled a little bit. He then shrugged and locked together his hands behind of his head. "...although, now that I think of it...," Ra then said as he stamped the ground once more, "Wait a minute, I'm not going to get paid for this one, am I?"
