The Adventure Never Ends

[Yoshiken]

(Sorry for taking so long to post, the first week of school absolutely murdered my schedule with all its multiple orientation meetings and whatnot).

Yoshiken looked over the edge of the cliff, "well, hopefully we have enough parachutes for everyone. I mean, I don't need one, and so that is one less person to worry about. I can glide down myself without any problems. For those who will be using the parachutes though, make sure the wind is on your side. You don't want to jump, release your parachute, and end up crashing into this very same cliff."

He continued looking over, trying to get a clear view of the surrounding terrain.

[Teal]

"..." Teal give Champ a parachute.
"About 300 pounds each...why?" Teal said. Then he looked at the rest of the group looking for any problems with weight. In his mind he started to question Slug's use of a parachute.

Syleena stood next to Teal and put on her parachute. "Its a good thing that I'm not afraid of heights then, I'm just afraid of falling and breaking my neck. So, who goes first?"

[Teal]

"When you have your parachute on go for it. Just remember what Yoshiken just said and don't go at the same time as someone else...Your parachutes could get tangled." Teal did not go first because he felt he needs to help people put their parachute on.

[g!rl_k.s.a.]

"OK then. I guess I will go first then." Syleena put her parachute on and jumped and pulled her parachute and looked for a place to land on her feet. Once she found the place, she would land there. "That wasn't very hard at all."

[Strangie]

(Hey guys. Tomorrow I am leaving for about a week or so and won't be back until two Sundays from now, so I won't be able to post for a bit. Assume Karth is following along and helping out or just pretend he doesn't exist for a while until I come back. See you then!)

Syleena stared straight up at everybody else and waited for them to jump and parachute next. "Come on, Its not that hard. It's almost like a roller coaster ride. You can do it. If someone as dainty as me can do it."

[Teal]

"..." Seeing how by now everyone has their parachute on he checked to make sure they were on properly. He offered a second parachute to Slug and then approached the edge. "Come on! Don't be afraid of heights! Just make sure you pull this here string after you jump." Teal made a good running jump off the edge of the cliff. After about 3 seconds he opened his parachute. As he slowly sinks down he hoped a gust of wind wouldn't come and smack him against the side of the cliff.

Syleena looked up at Teal and saw him floating down carefully as he glided with his parachute. "Oh, I hope the parachute doesn't get tangled up or he lands in something smelly." Syleena asked. "It would hurt if he was battered against the cliff."

[Yoshiken]

Yoshiken stood at the edge, watching Teal and Syleena gracefully floated down. "Well, the wind doesn't seem to be a problem at this point." He looked back towards the rest of the group, gesturing his hand towards the cliff. "I guess I will be seeing you at the bottom! Don't take too long!"

With that said, Yoshiken unfolded his wings, and glided off the edge.

"So now I guess that we all have to wait for the others to come down. I hope it doesn't take too long. If it does take too long then we might as well all be sitting ducks." Syleena pointed out.

[Moot]

"This wasn't how I'd planned on getting down, but I still think I'd choose it over getting on that plane again." Moot strapped himself into the harness, paying particular attention to the straps that secured around those pointless dangling appendages other people called legs. Not wanting to slide out of the bottom of the harness halfway through the descent, he had enough slack to tie the straps around his shoulders. Hardly the most elegant solution, but given the alternatives it would have to do.

Not wanting to let little things like common sense get in the way before he changed his mind, Moot took a running jump off the side of the cliff, opening the parachute soon after.

"And down he goes. It looks like he'll land down on his feet in a perfect 10." Syleena narrated as she watched Moot come down to the ground. "That wasn't so bad, was it?"

[Strangie]

Karth was soon to follow, running and jumping behind the other and opening his chute for a safe landing.

"Now all we have to do is wait for our 'fearless' leader to come down and we can get a move on." Syleena said as she sat on a rock and waited for Slug and Champ.

[Moot]

((fun fact: Moot has no use for legs))

"I'd take base jumping over spending any time whatsoever in a plane any day of the week. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone where I'm from who trusts air travel... People tried it, but it never took off."

Moot undid his parachute straps, and unceremoniously dumped the whole thing on the ground.

"Lets take bets to see how long it will take before our leader gets down here. He can talk the talk, but I'm pretty sure he can't walk the walk."

[Teal]

Once Teal landed he immediately got started on disposing the parachutes. Leaving them there on the ground would alert any patrols of intruders.

[g!rl_k.s.a.]

Syleena looked over at Teal. "What are you gonna do with the parachutes? Its not like you can carry them all around. That would slow us down."

[Teal]

"I'm not going to carry them around. It's a lot of parachutes we are using so all I can really do is roll them up and try to hide them." Teal said.
