So it seems that ProBoards made an asinine update about its terms of service, and if you've come across the warning already, you should know what I'm talking about. Anyone who doesn't care about blocking ads and don't, then there shouldn't be any need to worry for them.
I'm obviously not happy by this decision, as it is far too strict to even merely give us a warning of a possible termination of your account come May 14 (it's not for certain just yet, so don't end up getting all up in arms for almost no reason). But to continue having an account on ProBoards, will you be willing to comply with its updated terms of service and disable adblocking?

I use AdThwart, an addon for google chrome, but I'll disable it for when I use this forum. I never received such warning. At least this website doesn't get all crazy with the ads.

I had tried an ad blocker before and ran into a lot of errors with it, so I got rid of it. The only ads that really bother me are pop-ups or those stupid talking ones. Right now I'm not using an ad block so I'm not bothered, but I agree that it's silly they're doing this.

I block ads that annoy me, which is nearly all of them these days. Depending on the site I'm on I'll unblock them, but once flash ads or ads with sound appearing, they're going on the kill list. Pretty much the only ones I don't block are Google text ads. I also make a habit of blocking every single piece of Flash, because it is almost universally terrible.
I'd probably have unblocked ads here if Proboards didn't like to sneak in flash ads that grow over half the page, or play a bunch of stupid sounds. Really though, it's my browser so ultimately I have the choice of what I want to appear in it, and annoying adverts are not part of that.
Also, don't mind me if my account mysteriously disappears tomorrow. Thanks, Proboards!

Yes, I block ads. Darn things have no place on my browser.

What is this Terms of Service update about? I haven't blocked any ads unless they are very CPU-intensive, because some people STILL think banner ad is the best place to put intensive particle effects /w glow filters in.
