I can't say I fully understand where inactivity comes from in a forum. Generally, a dead forum is one that has no visiting members and no posts.
Yoshi's Corner is not dead. It has a lot of members visiting everyday, just look at your "active users" list on the bottom of the forum. You all gave a very warm response to "the thread where we discuss YC's revival," and were very positive for a while.
Now things have slowed down yet again.
Tell me if this happens to you.
-You come onto the forum.
-You look each board, but mainly the Yoshi Cafe.
-You notice that no posts have been made.
-You are a little disappointed.
-You [X] out of Yoshi's Corner.
Well?
One suggestion I have would be to temporarily drop subject boundaries.
All active forums should go into Yoshi Cafe, no matter what the subject is. This may seem like a bad idea. Some people will cry out in anguish at the lack of organization and the mahem. Relax. It's not that bad. And really now, I believe actually having a number of exciting and unrelated conversations is better than having numerous hollow and untouched threads that are neatly organized into their proper filing cabinets.
What do you think? I just made 4 threads. I didn't go out of the boundaries of conventional Yoshi Cafe subjects, but I think we should be allowed to do so, for the sake of activity.
So yeah. Post guys.
Activity awaits. o_q
Yell at me in disagreement. Support this point. Just don't LOOK AT THIS, NOD AND LEAVE.
Also realize that I could have posted this in "the thread where we discuss YC's revival," but this will probably get a larger response, since I have a feeling most people have moved past that thread.
