So there have been recent talks of affiliation. Mafioshi may be willing to help if polls suggest that a good number of users are in favor of such a move. A poll is being held on YAF as well. See this thread for previous discussion of the affiliation, YC-side. If you are in favor of affiliating with Yoshi Art Forums, vote "Yes". If you are against the affiliation, vote "No". If you are unsure, vote "Maybe/I Don't Know/Other", and leave a post here explaining why.

Voted yes again because I'm for it. Now if we could just see some action instead of deliberation.

If it's benefitting both parties, why not. I don't see what can go wrong.

Somehow I managed to miss this poll!
Personally I'm all for it, I think the hatchet has been buried for a long time now.

I voted yes as well. Obviously. It helps both forums, and hurts neither.

As I've said time and time again (I'm sure we've asked this of the members already once), yes, affiliation is fine.

I've honestly secretly thought this would help for a while, and as well, I do believe that the past is far behind us.

Is this actually going to go ahead at some point or are we waiting for more votes?

Is this actually going to go ahead at some point or are we waiting for more votes? I'm actually wondering this myself.

Wow, this is still in progress? And Teh Yoshi is in California if I remember rightly now so won't see him for a little while now. The second I see him online I'll be sure to bring it up and see if we can actually make progress here. Members have been waiting long enough methinks.

By the way, YAF has a new Administration team. cb000, Mystic, and Dragon Man. I'm not sure what their stand on this is, so I'll talk to them.

YoshiAgent: That'd be awesome, cheers. If you can let me know their stance on this is then I will bring it up with Teh Yoshi as soon as he appears again, which I think is tomorrow.

Voted for it because it would be great publicity and we might get new members.

BUNP
I'm assuming that this affiliation isn't going ahead? Because I'm under the distinct impression that it isn't going ahead.

As much as I'd love to get this done as quickly as possible, I just received news as of today that, well, not exactly "everyone" on staff over at YAF is supportive of this. Therefore, nobody can get full permission to even design a YAF banner that we can use to show affiliation. Hopefully more about this will unfold later...

That is an interesting development. I'd hope people aren't still holding grudges about events that happened over a hundred years ago.

That is an interesting development. I'd hope people aren't still holding grudges about events that happened over a hundred years ago. Nah, the grudge is pretty much good as dead. I think the overwhelming majority over at YAF supports (or doesn't mind) the affiliation, at least from what I've heard.
