Ignuss held up his hands "I got these gloves meant to repel the virus."
Ignuss saw the toads first and pushed Firago out of the way and got into a fighting stance "Ha share the pain?! If you don't get out of our way you'll bu the only one in pain!"

Not a soul was in sight when he arrived.
Where had they gone?
Irin looked around until his eyes gazed upon a small fireweed sprout. He grinned. This was pretty much Erill's fingerprint, his way of telling Irin where to go. The weed was tilted west, which meant that that was the way he went. Irin ran in that direction, and in a few minutes, found Erill.
"Eriiiiiill!" he shouted.
Erill turned around. "So, you finally woke up? Glad that you saw my message."

Erlosung just listened to Firago as he explained about his protective gear and how it was made. He understood all of the engineering terms Firago used and was quite intrigued of the creation of Firago's gear.

Erlosung whispers back to Firago, "Rather impressive... Firago... quite a respectable feat that was done to make your equipment, though it is quite funny how you made yours... my colleagues and I have made our equipment in a similar way, practically the same materials, but different methods and engineering designs... I only wonder how intricate the design of the mask itself is, rather than what it is made of... I'll keep my current mask for now; it should be as effective, if not more, as your masks. I'll however may have use for your masks in the future...

As far as magic goes... I'll tell you later what I know... ... ... and my name is Erlosung, not Earl... ah whatever."

As the group were walking and Firago just looking at them, he noticed some partially petrified Toads. Before Erlosung could tell Firago to stop, he saw Ignuss push Firago out of the way and into a fighting stance.

"Ignuss step back a bit, you might get infected just be being close enough to them!"

He observed the Toads and the nature of the petrification.

So it attacks the head, arms, and legs first in this case... Does the virus attack the chest last...?

He heard one of the toads moaning of there being no cure. Erlosung just stared at the toads, then at Firago. Erlosgung went to Firago to whisper something.

"Firago... I want to test something, but I want a response quick... do I have permission to... *more whispers*"

Ignuss took 2 steps back keeping an eye on the toads

[Yoshiken]

"Don't mind if I do!" Hansen stated, grabbing a mask from Firago and strapping it on. After trying to adjust it to the most comfortable level, he got a good look at the approaching toads. The virus was obviously messing with their psyches, because their sense of agency and willpower began to wither.

"Holy Clubba! Watch your backs everyone!" Hansen shouted! After a a moment's hesitation, he spoke again. "Fascinating...If only we could put them in a long comatose state. Think of all the forensic experiments that could be done. Hey Firago..." He paused as he saw Firago and Erlosung whispering to each other.

He quickly ran over to butt into their conversation. "I don't mean to ruin your bonding time, but do ya mind explaining to us other folk exactly what you are discussing? Whats the plan?"

[Teal]

(South? We're heading West.)

"Oof!" Firago was pushed out of the way by Ignuss. "Hey! What's the big idea....oh..."

The stone-headed Toad starts limping towards Firago who was still on the ground. Firago panicked, "G-Get back! Don't come any closer!" He pulled a red pistol with a purple tip out from under his jacket and aimed at the approaching Toad who didn't stop moving. The toad replies, "Cmon....can't you....do something..?"

The toads were coughing and sneezing similar to cold and flu symptoms. A spray of mucus went towards Ignuss. "...You might want to take a mask..." Firago tossed a mask designed for a yoshi towards Ignuss.

The red Toad starts staggering running after Ignuss trying to infect him. He was also sneezing all over.

The yellow Toad collapses. The rest of his face had completely turned to stone.

Firago gets up and hears Erlosung's request. "What? Fine! Do what you must just don't get infected...by the way..." Firago gets away from the stone-headed Toad and tosses a mask to each member of the group including the newcomer. He hoped he gave the right masks that will fit the people he tossed them to.

"The plan is to get through with this as soon as possible...I don't want to be around these infected Toads for too long..." He said to Hansen.

Ignuss snatched the mask and put it on stepping out of the way of the mucus. Ignuss brought his foot up and got the toad in the face knocking him off his feet

A mask landed in Irin's arms, and he looked at it. Having minimal knowledge of the situation, he was confused. He put the mask on, only to find it to be too small.
"Erill? uh..." Irin began.
"Yeah, I figured." Erill replied. He touched the mask with his hand, and mumbled, "En cognitium Du Wehls." The mask grew until it was the right size. Erill took his own mask and put it on.
Erill looked at Firago. "The name is Erill, thank you very much, and this here is my son, Irin.

[Teal]

Since the red toad was already weakened both mentally and physically by the virus he was instantly knocked out by Ignuss' kick.

The remaining stone-headed toad continues to limp in desperation toward the group.

Firago looks at Erill and the young yoshi whose color is similar to Firago's beside him. "Erill is your name? Okay and the young one is Irin...he can defend himself properly right?...My name is Firago and don't you forget it kid."

"Cmon let's get out of here...We're already going with a rough start with this mission..." Firago said sounding impatient at this point. He waited to see if Erlosung was going to perform his experiment or not.

If members of the group looked around they would see dead trees with petrified ones peppered among them. The skies were dark with an orange hue. The sight would remind members of the group that around this time near noon it used to be bright with the sun directly in the center of their view of the sky. Today after the chaotic events that led to these conditions it looked perpetually dark. While it is relatively brighter at this time of day...some would forget what the sun is under this blanket of ash and dust. Green plant life is a rarity these days.

The limping toad moans and Firago rolls his eyes and points his gun at it. "I told you to stay back! Are your ears broken or something? Surely your eyes work and having a gun being pointed at you should give you my point." The toad didn't seem to care and appeared to move faster towards him. Firago growls and shouts, "I WILL SHOOT IF YOU DON'T CEASE MOVEMENT!"

Irin fitted an arrow to his bow and fired it at a magenta hatted toad.
Three toads approached Erill, who began chanting a spell. "aquous risenth."
The ground beneath the toads began to sink, and water began to fill the hole. Before long, Erill had made a well-like pond, trapping the toads at the bottom.

Ignuss slid into the limping toad in front of Firago and completely devastated his face
"Save your bullets. We just need to leave. now!"

(Please be more detailed in your posts...Don't just say things like you devastated or attacked an enemy without giving some detail as to how you did it.)

Although he was wearing protective gear Ignuss' hands/feet sustained some minor pain from attacking the stone-headed toad.

Firago looked at Ignuss and Erill and said, "I rather you guys not kill or annihilate these innocents...but fine...let's get going." He started walking further down the road. "Cmon...the longer we hang around these statues the more likely we are going to get infected."

Further down the road when the toads were no longer in sight they heard some noises like the blades of a helicopter. It landed in a clearing at the side of the road and a human emerged from the side door. He ran up to Firago.

"Firago! We have an emergency! The Corps team members were working on that mission to clear a path for the runaway missile carrier. They all have succumbed to the virus at the worst possible time! I didn't know who else to turn to who can help! I won't be able to clear the path at Oyster Harbor fast enough!"

Firago recognized the panicking man and replied, "That's a darn shame Miles...Then we have a crisis on our hands we have no time to waste! Take us there and we will clear a path right away!"

Firago turned to the group, "We HAVE to help! We have some time to kill for our mission; I thought you guys were going to be late to our meeting in Toad Town. Besides this is a great opportunity to warm up! I want to see what you guys are capable of. What we will be doing is demolishing some decaying buildings to ground zero so we don't experience a nuclear explosion. Miles here will give you the details en route to Oyster Harbor which isn't far from here."

Firago and Miles ran to the helicopter and jumped in. Firago motioned the others to board.

Erill gave Firago a slight frown. "I don't kill unless I have a good reason. This is a good reason. Those toads were experiencing endless suffering, and all they can do right now is spread the disease. As disguisting as this may sound, until a cure is found, they're better off dead."
After hearing Miles's snafu, Irin climbed into the helicopter. Erill just sighed, and said. "Normally, I wouldn't help you out with something like this, because the fault is yours for the lack of planning and for not taking safety precautions. But since I've got nothing better to do I'll help you out." He climbed in.

[Yoshiken]

Hansen, being as small as he is, did not have an easy time climbing onto the helicopter. After struggling to get on, he took a moment to breathe. "Better off dead? I really don't think it is our place to judge whether a person should live or not Erill. I mean, you can go ahead and defend yourself any way you want, but just don't be hunting me down the next time I take a sick day off."

"Anyways," Hansen continued, turning his attention to Firago and Miles "demolishing buildings? Sounds like fun...as long as I am not under them that is. How are we going to accomplish that though? Explosives? Pressure? Momentum Mechanics? Rocks and sticks?"

"Yeah. There is no way in hell that I am staying in this freak town. I'm getting the hell out of here so I don't killed. I'd rather not die today. Goodbye." she ran like hell towards the helicopter and jumped in, looking behind her to see if any toads were following her.

Erill turned to Hansen. "I can't say I'm surprised to hear you say that. I hate the idea as much as you do, but in the end, it saves lives."

Ignuss got in the helicopter shaking his hand "Gah, It's worse than punching bricks! hey Firago those gauntlets might help. The calluses on my knuckles are strong enough to handle stone."

"Alright Firago... Thanks"

As soon as Firago gave Erlosung the permission to do what he had in mind, he saw Hansen checking on his conversation with Firago.

"Move out of the way..."

Erlosung simply just stood up and shove Hansen away to see what is happening with the Toads. When he did, he just saw Irin, Erill, and Ignus practically destroying the Toads. At that moment, Erlosung simply shook his head in disappointment and dropped what he has in mind for now.

"Nevermind..."

He then heard and saw a helicopter come near. Afterward, he saw a man come up to Firago explaining a dangerous situation of a runaway missile carrier that can explode at any second it it were to crash to a building that isn't leveled down in time. Shortly, Firago motioned the group to hurry and get into the helicopter as soon as possible.

Without hesitating, Erlosung simply followed Firago and the rest of the group into the helicopter, for now ignoring the zombish toads. He then contemplated about leveling buildings.

"Leveling buildings down... I have ideas how to do it but... I'm not sure I have enough chemicals to accomplish such... and I'd need something powerful that can launch such solutions to the buildings that needs leveling... My gun won't do the trick..."

[Teal]

(Sorry I thought people were already losing interest in this RP so I thought I should get this thing going. I'll slow down now.)

There was another four infected toads coming after them. Three limping one running. However one of the runner's arms were stoned. He was getting close to Hansen so Firago pulled him up. Hansen was the last one to board so after he got in the pilot koopa flew the helicopter away immediately.

"Lack of planning!?" Miles said sounding agitated. "Why you little.....Look trust me! For a mission this risky we took all of the safety precautions possible! No one appeared to be infected and a scan was conducted to make sure the virus wasn't in their bodies. But somehow team Alpha and team Beta both STILL became petrified...They were all wearing protective equipment too. What else am I supposed to do? Plus this mission was an urgent one given to us without warning."

Firago gave the gauntlets to Ignuss. "Hey...sorry guys I didn't know the virus was still active in Toad Town...I should've picked a better place to meet...Now....I need a refresher on what your mission is about Miles."

"Roger..." Miles cleared his throat. "A missile carrier truck is to transport a pair of defective nuclear missiles to a controlled detonation site...hey we had no choice those missiles were created over a decade ago they don't just go poof and disappear when they go bad...While the solar-powered truck was en route to the detonation site the missiles started leaking...the resulting radiation killed the driver. The damaged on board computer in the truck activated an emergency system...which obviously I think is flawed because it automatically locks onto the most direct route to the site...the problem is that its route takes it straight through buildings and obstacles."

Miles continued, "The remote guidance system doesn't work because of the severe radioactivity in the truck and a pool of radiation prevents anyone from getting close enough to control it...Just a single jolt could be enough to detonate the missiles which can trigger a nuclear winter. The Corps were assigned by the Survival Effort to demolish these buildings to ground zero ASAP to prevent the carrier from crashing into any buildings."

"Is everyone with me so far?" Miles asked.

Ignuss put on the gauntlets and pounded them together, "Ha, now I can destroy so many things with just my hands. See I'm very strong. So we're leveling buildings... WIth my hands I can only destroy ancient ones and that'll still break my knuckles."
