YC Group Picture (sign up)

Alright alright... so I have been thinking about the history of YC and remembered how there were some group pictures of the members of YC (correct me if I am wrong here, but I'm pretty sure there was at least one made in the past). Days have passed and it has been a long, long time since I last seen a group picture of the members of YC. (IF there was never a group picture in the past, then this will be the first).

Now then, I feel like making a group picture for YC, since I feel it is about time YC has an updated group picture of sorts. Now I don't know if this is in the right place to post such, or if it should be in the Art Requests section or something, but I do know one of the admins I asked says it should be posted here. If this is the wrong place to post this, then do move this post to the appropriate section.

So, before I even begin making the group picture, I want to have permission from the various members of YC that I can draw their characters for this group picture.

As this is going to be a group picture... I want people to give ideas of what would be an ideal background for this group picture. Please make it appropriate and if possible, explain why your idea for the background of the group picture is ideal.

As far as signing up goes, I would need the following:

-Your most current character reference picture that you want to be in the picture and the character's name. Please only one character that most represents you, and it would be preferable if you have a Yoshi character. It is fine if your character isn't a Yoshi. BE SERIOUS ON WHO YOU DECIDE TO PUT IN!

-Describe the personality of the character you are entering in for the group picture. This can also include telling what your character would most likely be doing in the group picture itself. BE SERIOUS WITH THIS AS WELL.

Anyone can sign up, so as long as you are a member of YC and therefore part of the YC community. This means yes, old past members of YC can join, as well as the newer ones. I do hope many people sign up for this, as it would be sad if the group picture consists of just very few members of YC.

Placement of characters in the group picture. I believe placement of the characters in the group picture is important. Because of that, if when you signed up to be in the group picture and have a preference of how your character should be placed in the picture, like wanting your character be near a certain other character, please please please PM me! Do not post such info in this thread, because others may be offended with your preference. Please be appropriate and give me a legitimate reason why you want your character to be placed as such.

Sign-up will be open for... a week... maybe more... I hope this idea is a good idea, so please sign-up. When I start drawing the group picture, it may take me about a month, maybe more, to complete... just so everyone knows. I will be working on this group picture as much as I can.

Uhm, I prefer you be more descriptive with what you think is an ideal background. Yoshi's Island is too general. What part of Yoshi's Island? The caves? The mountains? The jungle? What? The scene be done at night? morning? afternoon? sunset? Please, be more specific and descriptive.

So Ninjo doing elemental magic or swinging his blade... but you know, I'd like to know more his personality so as to, for example, draw the character's face as appropriate to the personality of the character and his action in the group picture. Is your character lax? Fierce? Charismatic? Please I'd like to have such details so I get the character drawn right and matches what it really is.

He's a rather smart yoshi, with a calm personality. Um... I'm not too picky about his pose, just make it match him. If you want, you can give him a bow, since he's alse a marksman.
Um.... background. Definitely Yoshi's Island theme. I'd say something similar to the background seen in the prologue and the 100% epilogue in Yoshi's Island.

He's rather fierce, not exactly the smartest though and I can't draw to save my life that pic was by Dama.
As for background prologue= 100% win, yes, yes, yes. Sunset would be neat having the characters stand out against the sun.

I'll sign up. My activity on here has been very minimal over the past year but I'm still wanting to show that I belong here.

People regularly see my character in one of three looks, but I'm going to link you to my very original self for this project to keep it simple. So click here. The only thing that is left out of this image are his black wings, but if drawing actual, physical wings are not your thing, then black wing markings are on his back instead, just as long as the markings and gloves are there on show. On another note, he is saddle-less. People make this mistake regularly.

Toshi is calm and collected, shows quite a bit of sarcasm when talking to folk. Usually comes off as a serious character to most people but he's not one to pass on some light hearted fun and games, so he's definitely not without his emotions. He loves music and regularly enjoys playing a guitar (regular or bass) when he's not wielding a massive two handed weapon like a crazed barbarian.

I reckon that a cafe background would be the best choice considering that the main board (Yoshi Cafe) of this forum is where most of the activity happens (alongside the role-playing board but there isn't really a theme you can place to that).

Alright so... I'll keep the signs up a bit longer. Some of you decided to sign up by directly PMing me, and thats fine. Also, its fine if you don't really have a reference pic, but it is recommended. If you don't have one, well at least give me a detailed description of your character appearance... and hey it may have changed over the years; I'm aware of that character appearances thread so yeah.

I hope more people decide to join ::# It would be sad if there is only so few of us in the group picture.

He is the yoshi wearing the brown jacket and red scarf in this picture...sorry I don't have a proper reference picture it's all I have. You drew this picture anyway.

As for placement...I need to talk to someone about it. I'll tell you via PM about it.
My character has a more proud personality like he would wink and hold a peace sign or he could just be smiling. Or I might change this pose depending on his placement.

Background....how about a small uncharted island setting? Everyone standing on one of those small islands the size of a half basketball court. Nah? How about a winter setting since it's coming up?

Description is easy. A rainbow colored yoshi! With green eyes, and no saddle. That's about it. As far as personality... I'm a pretty happy yoshi. I can just be standing there with a smile in the picture, I honestly don't care haha. Whatever looks best.

For a background, I think a Yoshi's Island style sunset/sunrise would be sweet.

OK, consider me in. I was debating joining this because I'm not exactly a massive presence here - or ever was, for that matter - but no matter, we can't have just one member of the board staff in on this thing.

I second the café background, it's by far the board with the greatest activity and most likely where everyone posts the most. As for what Moot would be actually be doing, he'd probably be hiding off in the corner playing DS games or some such nonsense.

i just come here lurking a bit and lo-and-behold this thread pops up of course im in!
Andrew just plain simple (for reference the big fanfic ch3 picture) with his swords edge in the ground his hands rested on the top of the hilt(sadly i don't really have a consistent yoshi character)

as for background a bit of a shady jungle's edge background should do the best since we all know Yoshi's Island is covered in thick forests and jungles and that would go well with the theme of the forums itself too.

As far as descriptions go, I'm a light blue Yoshi with glasses, wears a royal blue robe with red collar on the robe. Also wears brown boots.

I also agree with going with a Yoshi's Cafe background. Looks more sociable, if that makes sense. XD

Black skinned , brown shoes and blue jeans. He has three ROUNDED red-orange spikes on the back of his head to his back. He's got a green tailband a few inches away from the tip of his tail. Brown eyes. He's usually doing something silly o:
