Does anyone know about the United Nations? It's this colossal corporation or something devoted to peace. Anyhoo, they host this thing called the Peace Pals Art Contest every now and then. It's a worldwide contest open to age groups ages 5-20. Anyhoo, they select a country and a place withing that country to host it. Well, for the first time ever, the USA was chosen! And, of all places, my little charter school was chosen to host it!! Now for be to brag about how awesome my day went, not to mention I will more than likely be on the news tonight! Alright, six students myself included were chosen to go to the Arizona Center and create our submissions for the contest. Well, the media and the press showed up! They media filmed us drawing and coloring our entries and the press interviewed us after that. Well, while I was drawing my entry, of all six people I was chosen to do an interview, ON CAMERA! He had the light and the microphone on me, I was so scared/excited/nervous, I was still shaking afterwords. The press that interviewed us will be putting our names as well as what we said into the Arizona Republic!! This whole morning was utterly magical and fantastic beyond definition! And, if any of you are in Phoenix, the local news should air it in about an hour, 4:07pm right now, if not, then it will be at around 6pm or a little later. You know, I already high expectations for this week, what with getting a possible job and all, but those expectations were completely and utterly surpassed! Anyhoo, if anyone does want to enter, the school site I listed will have all of the information you need.
