Besides video games...
Some collected stamps, some collected leaves, some collected rocks, bugs, and Bazooka Joe wrappers.
Did you have a collection? Still collecting maybe?

I really only have one "prized" collection of something: I have all 50 of the state quarters that were minted from 1999-2008, plus one from before 1999. Only worth $12.75 now, but who knows what it could be worth in the future.
Otherwise, I have a number of unorganized Legos, marbles, pens (I was really into different interesting pens as a kid), golf balls, maps, and books. Today, I have enough different calculators to constitute a small collection.
Believe or not, I've never had an impressive collection of video games. I've only had less than maybe a dozen games for any console I've ever had.

I still have Yu-Gi-Oh! cards lying around~ I do love the card art on those things, but I don't really go through the effort of buying more these days. (But if my little brother gets them, I do love to stare at the art, hurrhurr.)
I do like getting cell phone charms though! My phone doesn't hold them anymore, but I still like to just have them around. Cell phone charms and key chains are what I currently collect. But my actual set of keys are heavy from all the stuff I put on them. -v-;;

I collected Pokémon cards. I can't believe how much of my parent's money I wasted on those things. XD I had a binder full of them, ended up getting it stolen, and then built up another binder. I never played the actual TCG, just collected the cards. I always liked looking at the little artworks. Later, I gave my entire binder to my brother after I lost interest, but I do look through the binder occasionally just to stare at the artwork. I don't really collect anything anymore. I don't have the money nor the space. I've never had the greatest video game collection either. I think right this moment I only have 5 or 6 games to my name spanning all consoles (not counting Kurtis's old PSone and PS2 games).

Oh dear god, still do. My room is extremely cluttered. A lot of what I have is down to either "Well, nobody collects these, so they have to be rare, and therefore later on in life be worth good money!" and "Well, it adds a bit of character to the room.". Part of it is actually my girlfriends fault, but the majority is down to my mom and an obsession with "Millers Collectibles Handbook" books that tell me what things that were probably completely worthless, are actually worth a fair few bob, such as the iconic Motorola 8500 brick phone, which I have complete, but without the box. It's apparently still worth just short of £300, so indeed, at one point I accumulated whenever given to me very old not-so-mobile phones. Again, with a view to financial gain but eventually got a bit out of hand, a very gullible and none-the-wiser car boot seller sold us an original Mohair Steiff Bear, for 99p. These are actually incredibly rare in good condition and today, in the right auction house, auction regulars will climb over each other to snap it up for at least £75 (not including auctioneers commission). We still have it as the value climbs all the time. I did say that it got a bit out of hand. As people noticed ages ago that in the workstation photos I took and shoved on deviantArt, as the photos got newer a variety of Pooh plushes appeared, and changed over time. The older ones ended up on a rather high shelf in my hole-in-the-wall thing, toward the bottom lurked significantly larger ones. Couple of the characters I have from the franchise are rather rare (You know you're on to something when it doesn't appear on eBay), again, but not really done any research as to their worth. I did cap it after a while, but unfortunately, after a recent excursion to Birmingham with my girlfriend, she had other ideas. So did I, so we both ended up going our separate ways back home with huge two-foot tall Eeyore plushes after coming to the conclusion that we had to take back souvenirs (other than flu). It was interesting getting it on the train with all my other crap, but looking at the other frustrated commuters, I wasn't the only one going home with a gigantic plush that had to have it's own seat. Finally, and slightly more my thing being an IT guy, I accumulate old, and relatively new corporate IT kit. Not for worth this time though, as I actually use it. I might host the IRC network on a dual-quad opteron server with 2Tb disk space to itself, but web services that handle backup, development projects, source code and Asterisk VoIP exchange all run on 2 Apple Xserve G5 servers (You wouldn't believe how reliable these things are), a SuperMicro 1U server, and a Sun Cobalt RaQ 550 (which I added blue LEDs to). I also have two Dell Poweredge servers (a 1650 and 2650) and a HP StorageWorks NAS 1600 Storage Server set up on top of my computer for testing (happens often). I intend on doing another desk shot at some point in the near future, so you'll see just how ridiculous this all is soon. I didn't stop collecting when I became an adult, I just began collecting more stuff. :/

I have a rock/crystal collection, even though I haven't added anything in it for years. I have some pretty rare rocks and crystals including an Opal, Emerald, Silver ore, Gold ore, Tiger's Eye, Pearl, Aquamarine, and many other rocks and crystals. The last thing I added to the collection was a supposed diamond that my grandma got from Europe about 6 years ago. I even had a genuine diamond certificate to go along with it. However, I took it to a jewelry shop here to get it appraised, and it was actually just made out of quartz. Lame.

I used to collect coins. I still have them in a box somewhere. I still get interested when I see a coin or bill that I don't have in my collection. I haven't added to it in years though.
I also collected Pokemon cards. Like Anjil, I had a binder of them, and I never actually played the game. I just liked looking at them. I think I lost interest when they went beyond 251 Pokemon. I still have my binder... in a box somewhere haha. I still think it would be cool to get all of the first 151... I think I needed like 5 more, or something like that.
I tried collecting stamps once, but that didn't last very long.

I was cleaning out my dresser today, and, apparently, I have a small collection of coins of different currencies of the world, including two bank notes from Ghana.

I used to collect a wide variety of things including bottle caps, Jones soda bottles (I still do collect bottles, but now with the intent of making a chromatic bottle xylophone), and like many kids who grew up in the 90's and 00's, Pokemon cards (Of which I still love--I just no longer actively collect them anymore). None of these collections lasted very long save for three things.
I collect artwork. One day I hope to be able to completely cover the walls of a bedroom or an office with nothing but the art I've purchased, recieved as gifts, or traded. I have a friend who was able to do this at his old apartment, since the room was small enough, haha. Of course, this can sometimes be an expensive endeavour, so my collection currently only consists of about twelve pieces. Quite a few of them are very precious to me, though, so I think that counts for something.
I've been trying to build up a bigger music collection lately. Yes, that's right, I actually BUY music a lot of the time. I've never liked iTunes very much except for when I got an iPod for my birthday and the novelty was still there, and I only *ahem* 'acquire' music when I want to try out an album before I buy it. There's just something about holding a cassette, record, or CD in your hands that you don't get with digital downloads. This too is also rather expensive, and as such my collection consists of seven cassette tapes, about 25 CDs, and 20 records, which may be impressive to the unaware, but is painfully small compared to most collections of this type.
Finally, I collect decks of playing cards. The majority of them are Bicycle decks, but that's because they handle the best by far out of any deck I have used in my short life so far. Card tricks are totally my thing, and I almost always have a deck on me, so it's kinda fun to be able to have a different deck every day. This collection, however, is actually one of my smallest not because packs of cards are particuluarly expensive, but because it's hard to actually find good and/or unique decks of cards. Cards are also a little bit out of the way for me whenever I go to a store (usually in the toy section, where I'm usually not at) so I actually often forget to look, as well, haha. Even still, including some scrap and gaff decks I use specifically for magic tricks, I've got a solid 21 decks in my collection.
My video game library is fairly large I'd like to think, but it's not like I actively collect games.

I've collected tons of toys and cards. I've been through Legos, and train models and Pokémon, and Yu-gi-oh, and right now my fad is Magic: The Gathering. I also have a collection of every funny picture I find on the internet, basically anything that makes me laugh.

Used to collect models of cars, but my main collection were Micro Machines, kept in a box. Had a good few hundred different kinds but sadly as I grew up, they left me. Right now I just collect various bits and bobs of Yoshi merchandise whenever I happen to remind myself that I do.

I used to collect baseball cards when I was little, but I wasn't exactly sure why I did except for the fact that my friends at the time were collecting them as well. Most of them are gone, or lost somewhere in my room. Though, i do still have some cards that were given to me as a gift from my old martial arts teacher. Apparently there was a player in major league baseball with the same name as me. Whenever I get the chance to go to the beach, I do collect sea glass. It's sort of a family thing to do for us, so we take long strolls in the morning or afternoon and collect them. I think we have a couple of vases full of them from the years of collecting them.

I used to have a decent collection of Pokemon cards when I was younger, but I sadly grew out of Pokemon. XD Right now I'm slowly but surely collecting the state quarters. Only a few more to complete all 50 states! I also have a decent display of video game posters.
