What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?
For me was when in high school I ran for student body president and I was a sophomore (10th grade) at the time. During an assembly like the other candidates I was supposed to make a speech I prepared but I ended up with the wrong speech. In fact it wasn't my speech and it was irrelevant to the whole campaign. When I realized it wasn't my speech I just went quiet in front of the whole school. I couldn't remember what I wanted to talk about and I was under heavy pressure. I tried saying some things but just stuttered and kept saying "uhm." I just said "Forget it..." and stepped down from the podium while everyone laughed. That was just a horrible feeling and I let down the ones who followed me...

You know that moment when you're turning into a gas station, but you turn to hard and totally hit a gas pump? And the emergency shut off turns on? And the police have to come talk to you? And to make matters worse, your driver's license expired two days ago? Yeah that's a little awkward and embarrassing.
This happened to me last April.

Our car has a habit of stalling when the weather gets really hot (how convenient, living in Arizona and all). I had just dropped Kurtis off at ASU one afternoon back in September for some Chemistry lab. When I get to the stoplight to turn onto the main road, the car stalls. This has happened many times before, so I just do the normal procedure to get the car started again, which includes turning off the AC, radio, anything that can take power from the car. A couple times I get the car started, move it a little, then it stalls again. At this point I'm sticking a little too far out into the main road and decided it'd be a good idea to put the car on Neutral and start pushing it back. Now for fear of having the car broken into, I have this habit of pushing down the lock as I open the car door. And, you guessed it, I locked myself out, key still in the ignition and all. And it's not even set on Neutral!
So I'm standing around at the stop light next to my car, embarrassed and distressed out of my mind! Kurtis is the only other person who has an extra key to the car. It took several minutes for a City of Tempe worker to come by and ask what the problem was. He set up some cones partially blocking off a lane, since my car was sticking out too far. Then he called the police to help break into my car.
The police arrived and got some slim jims to try picking the lock. There were three different police cars there, which made me all the more embarrassed. It looked like such a scene was going on! In the meantime, another officer got info from me and I told her that Kurtis had the only other key and that I didn't know where his class was. They called the school itself to look for Kurtis.
Many minutes had passed and the police weren't able to get into the car (good news was, our car can't be broken into with a slim jim!). They said we'd wait for Kurtis for 10 more minutes, and then it's towing time due to obstruction of traffic. So, the officer offered to let me sit in her car, since it was so horribly hot outside.
I was stressed out of my mind hoping Kurtis would show up sometime soon. Heck if I'm gonna pay a $100+ towing bill! And, well... he did! I was so relieved and extremely embarrassed. Those police must have thought I was a complete idiot.
The nice thing about the whole ordeal was that there were several pedestrians who had offered to help out. Even though they couldn't really help, it still made me grateful that they were willing to do so.

Man, it seems something embarrassing happens to me every day of my life. The most embarrassing thing that has happened to me though was inviting a girl I really liked out to watch the full moon together and having her not showing or even giving a proper apology as to why she didn't show. I felt like a total dumbass that night, lol.

Can't remember anything more embarassing that has happened due to feeling a little tired as I type this, but I remember turning up to work one day last year, only to be told it was my week off from that day. I think you can be embarassed by that?
