People like to go to me for dating advice. They think I'm pretty good. Even though I was the one that had probably the worst relationship and break up and then subsequently handled the post-breakup all wrong.

You're treating it like a competition. Keep in mind that girls are not objects to be won or lost. She has free will and she will choose who she likes, if she wishes to make a choice. So just be a kind person and if that doesn't work, then you will find someone who does like that eventually. There is no "take down such-and-such and take her". That is an awful position to take on teenage crushes.
