I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday (thursday) so I won't be active for about two days or so . I'll be back at full charge after though. For those that don't know about wisdom teeth, they're teeth that have no room to grow in your mouth so they grow sideways and push against your other molars. To get them out the doctor has to cut your gums open and then cut the teeth in half and take them out in pieces. Then they stitch up your gums. Basically then you can only live off of Milkshakes and Jello and then maybe some Pancakes until it fully heals in about 5 days. You'll have energy to do things in about 2 or 3 days and energy to do a few things with naps in between 24 hours after surgery. My surgery was at 10, but I'm a quick healer in many cases, but if I'm on the computer for to long I get dizzy and pass out... Hence when I take a nap in between. Anyways, see you all in a few days. ;D

Well, I hope you heal alright. Living off milkshakes and Jell-O would be fun!

Don't worry Lava, the surgery is by far the easiest part of getting wisdom teeth out, you won't wake up because they have to give you a shot of something to wake you up. *got his wisdom teeth out last week*

If you wake up you won't feel anything from the drugs they gave you.

I'll probably have to get mine removed next summer. Most unfortunate.

What do they use to put you under so to speak? Novacaine? Or do they use anestesia? Because I don't trust anestesia, it, well, let's just say novacaine can be better.

They used anesthesia on me, and then gave me novacaine to dull the pain until I got codine at the drug store.

While ago I had some bone removed from my jaw, some of it was covering a tooth so it wouldn't come through, and its safe to say I wouldn't have wanted to be awake through that

Yeah, I'd rather not feel the pressure and such of them cutting a tooth in half and such even if I can't feel the pain. The surgery is the easiest part, it's when you get home and before the pain killers kick in that hit me the hardest. Besides it's amazing, to you the surgery lasts about 10 seconds although it has been about 2 hours. I came back because I'm feeling okay. Like I said, I'm a fast healer. I'm having Pancakes tonight ^^. Oh and as for living off Jello and Milkshakes. As good as it sounds you don't get to exactly eat them how you'd like to. You have to keep them from your gums or they get caught in sides and start decaying your gums. Hence the reason you have to do salt water rinses.

I don't even think they'd give you the option of a local anaestheic for that, to be honest
once they actually finish you'd be pumped full of painkillers anyway then given a good supply to be going on with, so the whole thing isn't really much to worry about

Last Wednesday they filled my first cavity I've had in 14 years! So I guess that is pretty good, it is mainly because it was in the WAY back and in a hard-to-reach spot with my brush!

That's because you've been told not to chew, it's not good for ya after you got your wisdom teeths out. I have a related topic about it somewhere in Yoshi Cafe. I was involved with it too, all 4 out. I was told not to chew, or drink with a straw. But ice cream to eat is a start. I bled for 1 day, but it's how it happen to me. I relaxed alil though, but it's bad to have your head down, and they sent me for painkillers. During school days, I was in pain and called my mom to pick me up from school and head home to take painkiler pills. Take my advice, don't drink with a straw after surgery you took, trust me.

Ouch. Braces. I remember thoseā¦ My dentist wants me to have my wisdom teeth pulled, as they are still partially concealed by my gums. I'd rather not go through with the extraction, as I'd rather like to keep all my teeth. Oh, and this is my first post here in probably well over a year.

Eh... it's not good to keep them. I have a very good reason why it must be removed. I learned from watching the video that it can cause your jaw to mess up, not lined up straight, and you will receive pain.

Oh well, I have enough space for them, so that's not a problem for me.
