I wanna preface this with a clarification: I'm not somebody who had been banned recently and returned. I however was a part of this forum over 15 years ago, and had no place being on this forum so young. I created another account because I'm very pleasantly surprised this forum is still up, and active.
So hello again. I don't think I can remember my old username from years and years and years ago, but I met a lot of wonderful people here as a literal child despite not having ANY internet literacy or courtesy. I don't know if they still use this forum either but if you do: you were patient and kind when you didn't have to be, and I remember that now as an adult with less Yoshi-focused responsibilities and interests. You put up with my weird nonsense and my awkwardly drawn MSPaint Yoshis. Thank you for that, but I also apologize. It was mostly cringy and embarrassing on my part, but it was never discouraged or frowned on by the users here.
As a reintroduction: I'm Zander (I didn't use this name then; I'm transgender and transitioned when I was 15, not that that matters much). In reference to the age I was when I was frequently engaging here, I am old now. I still love Yoshi the most as a Nintendo character (and I still draw from time to time -- mostly non Yoshi stuff, but I still also draw Yoshi). In between leaving the forum and today, I've moved three times, held down three jobs, and watched 4 (soon to be 5) siblings grow up, all of whom enjoy things like Nintendo games and being chronically online like I was as a kid. I love music, video games, art, and I enjoy connecting with people and sharing interests.
If this is not allowed feel free to correct me or remove my thread. I'm not entirely sure how active I'll be on this forum, but I wanted to come back after so long and share my experiences and my appreciation for this forum for truthfully and honestly being a formative part of growing up on the internet. I know this is mostly sappy and sentimental, but this forum still being up and active is a HUGE throwback and it unlocked a core memory in my head from years long past. It's nice to see everyone again (if you're a longtime user), and it's nice to meet new folks in advance. (:

Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
Also, either I'm too old or I'm crazy but there's ANOTHER Yoshi forum I was a part of a long time ago, it had a black and green theme (as well as one that was solid green) that was dedicated to Yoshi fans. I could have sworn it was something like Yoshiforums or something. Does anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about or have any updates on how those sites are doing? I'm having the biggest rush of nostalgia and I'm trying to find all the forums I was on when I was younger lol.
